Hunger Games New Informational Books not by Suzanne Collins?

I have been excited about these books too... but now I wonder.... Hypable writes:

Over the past few months we’ve been hearing about several books Scholastic and Lionsgate will be releasing which appear to promise new information about The Hunger Games.

Today we’re learning that none of these have trilogy author Suzanne Collins’ name on them. Is it cause for concern?

It is weird, my fear would be that either this info is juast made up by these new authors for the purpose of the movie... or it is stuff we already know from the books re-written and a waste of my money....

Our main issue with this is if any of the new information found in these books is canon according to Collins’ story. The Tribute Guide appears to promise lots of details surrounding each of the Tributes – but is it only info that we’ve heard before? If there is new info, do we know for sure that it came from Collins?

I for one HATE when it doesn't come from the authour, because I feel it is "created" by them and anyone else adding to it is just not the same. Granted thousands of people LOVE fanfic, written by fans, but they aren't claiming their stories as truths Stephenie Meyer would have decided on.... whereas these books are being mass produced, sold and soon bought - so I would HOPE Suzanne Collins, CREATOR of Hunger Games, had some say in what the heck story lines and information is included on HER characters no??? Taylor Swift's 'Safe & Sound' first single from The Hunger Games Soundtrack

Just before Christmas Taylor Swift revealed via Twitter that she will be on the Hunger Games soundtrack. The first single ‘Safe and Sound’ features the Civil Wars.

It is so perfect!

Greater news is that within 24 hours it was #1 on itunes....

I can't even wait for this movie, everything about it is going to be epic!

American Horror Story

If Ryan Murphy thinks he needs new cast, characters, setting - - he is craycray!

FIrst of all I know I am L2P (Late to the party) BUT - I watched the complete season of AMmerican Horror Story last night and today... amazing!

I love the idea, the characters, the actors, the storylines.... so good!

First of all, when did geek become sooooo hot? And how did scary mofo become sooo sexy?

I LOVE Evan Peters as Tate... and Tate and Violet are all sortsa awesome...

Who watches this show? I am obsessed!

Some cool connections to other favourite shows...

Alexandra Breckenridge who plays Moira, the young version, also plays Katerina on True Blood.

Denis O'Hare who plays Larry Harvey, the burned guy, also plays Russell Edgington on True Blood.

Oh and Christian Serratos from Twilight is in it briefly as a highschool bully.

Alot of the cast were also in Nip/Tuck, another show by creator Ryan Murphy (who also does Glee)

If you haven't seen this show - do! The finale only aired this week and you can find it online.

I hope that season two can continue with some of the same cast, not as new characters, that is dumb.... and if it must be all new people, I hope in future seasons they all reunite or we get updates on their stories, because I still have more questions about season 1 people....

-Who is Constance's 4th child?

-What happens with demon child?

-Do Violet and Tate work it out?

-What else happens in the house?

-Why did Tate do what he did

If I wrote for the show I would continue with it but I would have something where they can escape or relocate somehow - I don't know - so at least some of the plit and whatnot carries to a new house - maybe on the Halloween when they leave something happens and they get stuck in a new spot because they interfered with the human world or something? I don't know..... Love the show!!

x-factor results - spoilers

If you haven't seen or don't want to know yet do not read on...More... Well - Melanie won.

Not shocked, she had the most amazing voice.... though I was rooting for Chris Rene since day one because of his performances and his story and how entertaining he is.

To be honest, Drew, Rachel and Chris were my favourites.

After waiting in line for hours to be in the audience (with tickets) and not getting in, I started to dislike the show. That and I missed seceral weeks because I was travelling.

Then Drew was sent home and I couldn't believe it.

Then Rachel's departure was devastating.

Ah well... Melanie did not even MAKE it originally, then Simon of course changed his mind and brought her back and here you go - she won!

They will all do well, apparently Rachel already signed a contract with Disney? (So said judges on Jimmy Kimmel last week)

Annnnnnyways.....

I enjoyed the celebrity guest performances with contestants. Especially Justin Bieber and Drew - she must have been absolutely DYING inside!?!?

Astro and 50 cent was good too as was Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Marcus Canty.

It was a great show - I am still bitter about not getting inside to watch it while in L.A.

@17foreverlisa and I were sooo excited, then so upset to not get in... 'tis life.

Next Year....

What happens when you win a trip to the SWATH set?

You get to enjoy London, hang out with the cast and have an awesome time like Lynsey did...

I met Lynsey at WFE NYC and then again at BD Premiere last month, when our mutual friend told me who won the SWATH trip, I did NOT put two and two together until she postes about it on facebook... I am slow... anyhow, she had a fantastic trip and met Kristen and HBG and the rest of the cast of SWATH!

The movie will be showed at the Ladies at the Movies event on January 3rd and 4th in a few selected theaters. According to Kinepolis the release date for Belgium (the national release date) is January 31st, 2012. [source]
