Happy Birthday Robert Pattinson
Last year he was here in Vancouver for his bday... at one of my fave restaurants Glowbal in Yaletown....
This photo makes me giggle!
Official Twilight Convention will welcome Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner this June in L.A.
This is the first time the three main cast will be appearing at a Twilight Convention. Creation's Official Twilight Convention this June 11-13 in L.A. will feature all the usual awesomeness of the convention, but with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner ALSO in attendance, you can bet it will sell out quickly.
I have already planned a road trip with a few girlfriends and hope to make it to this event. I think it would be incredible to see them do the Q & A with fans.
Of course if you can't wait for June there is a Twilight Convention in Vancouver this weekend and there will be tickets at the door for only $10. I will be there so be sure to say hi if you attend!
Finally we see Booboo as Seth
Finally some stills and promo shots are emerging...

Summer Movies 2010 Update
As we draw closer to Summer, however, there are only a few that I am still super excited about and a lot I am not sure anyone will see.
Recently Released:
Iron Man 2
I saw this opening night with a group of friends in IMAX. It was a great night, Eclipse posters up, Eclipse IMAX Trailer on the big screen, then Iron Man 2 - a review for here nutshell, Loved Robert Downey Jr & overall casting, loved action, didn't like some of the subplots which were hard to follow without comic book knowledge.
Letters to Juliet
Amanda Seyfreid annoys me - I can't say why, I mean obviously she made out with Channing Tatum but that was the nail in the coffin, she had annoyed me before Dear John and her kissing my man, singing when she didn't have to acting. I know people love her, fine. I don't. I can't say I hate her, she just... annoys me... and this trailer doesn't help... her voice is too soft, she comes across too innocent, i don't know - when I figure it out I will let you know but t's ongoing... Even still, I am a sucker for Romantic Comedies and will probably see this before dd.
Just Wright
This doesn't interest me at all, though Common does & Queen Latifah is usually a dvd movie NOT a theatre movie... what more is there to say?
Robin Hood
Meh - I will see this because I feel obliged but I am not as eager as I thought I would be. Cate Blanchett is a completely under-rated actress, she is always so fabulous she takes on huge and diverse roles so well... Russell Crowe is an over-rated actor who is an asshole in real life (so I hear, no I haven't had the misfortune of meeting him) so I just feel - meh about this film overall. The only selling point is Ridley Scott - for that I will go see it.
Next Week
Shrek Forever After
Can' wait! This looks epic and in 3D too! Love Shrek, maybe it's the child in me, or the mother in me, but I am a sucker for Animated comedies!
MacGruber
Lame - an SNL SKit made into a movie, where have we seen THIS before... I don't like the Mac Gruber Skit, I do like looking at Ryan Phillipe topless though, so we shall see. Side note - I was actually an extra in MacGyver several times as a child... Richard Dean Anderson - nice guy!
Sex and the City 2
If you love SATC then you will love this. That is all I can really say.
Agora
I am a fan of these kinds of movies, though secretly. I have a history interest rooted deeply, it rarely emerges publicly. I usually do dvd for these kinds of films, but we shall see. I just love watching varous perspectives on what happened in those days. The wars, the politics, the romance, the belief systems that rules and faltered.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
I am so conflicted with this one. The plot, the video game, the idea doesn't intrigue me, but Jake G sure does... topless nonetheless... I will probably giv ein and go see this in theatres.
Survival of the Dead
Zombies - if that's your thing go see it, if not, stay home.
Next Month:
June 4
Get Him to the Greek
This is a spin-off of Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Same director, same co-stars, though now they take the lead in a twisted, asumingly humourous movie. Jonah Hill and Russell Brand were pretty funny in their supporting roles in the original, and can be funny on their own anywas but we shall see how they take these roles on in this movie. The trailer has it's moments but for the most part Russell Bradn just pisses me off and Jonah Hill is hit or miss for me.
Killers
Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher - I am pretty anti-Heigl after her B.S. with Grey's and her random casting as Stephenie Plum in the upcoming movie to Janet Evanovich's fabulous book series. (PS me and my co-workers went through and did our own casting for Stephenie Plum One for the Money posted here.) I think Ashton is always typically goofy and I am tired of hearing "Let's just say the blah blah blah gave me a licence to blah"
Marmaduke
Owen Wilson is in town filming a movie with Steve Martin and Jack Black. I like Owen Wilson, often, not always. This movie is based on the comic strip "Great Dane."
Ondine
It's a mermaid movie. Not all mermaid movies are good - but I will see all mermaid movies, it's a fascination I have... like most of my blog readers have with vampires...
Colin Farrell used to be sexy but he's been on the radar for so long I don't know if he still has that bad-boy sex appeal. Especially now that he is married, with kids. Not that kids make you unsexy, but his whole sexiness was the bad boy bachelor... non?
He is with his Ondine co-star ALicja Bachelda-Farrell and living a much calmer life than when we last saw him in the spot-light. I think I like it... but I don't think he's as dreamy.
Still, likely wait for DVD.
Splice
I realize this will probably be a fail however Adrien Brody has potential he just chooses for some reason not to use it. Those who read my blog regularily know I am in need of a clone so this movie seems interesting though even a crazy new breed of a mistaken clone won't deter me from my goals.
I will probably see this as part of a triple feature at the drive-in.
June 11
The A-Team
This movie will be corny, so corny it is funny. And it was filmed in Vancouver, and I saw a lot of it being filmed And I got caught in stupid downtown traffic for their big action sequences that shut down main roads - soooo - I will be obliged to see this in theatre. And with sexy Bradley Cooper and amazing Liam Neeson, I just may enjoy it!
The Karate Kid
I love the original and I am not impressed they re-made it, with Will Smith's kid no-less. It was mentioned in my 2010 Movies"Kung Fu Kid" ake of Karate kid. Lil Smith is no Daniel Larusson and Jackie Chan is certainly NO Mr. Miyagi!!
Winter’s Bone
In January this movie was a favourite by Sundance attendee's but I know very little about it personally. A young girl goes searching for her father who disappeared in order to save her family. Jennifer Lawrence [plys Ree and has had great reviews.
June 18
Jonah Hex
This was listed in my previous 2010 movies posts there was little info and with it's release about a month away it finally has a trailer out. Josh Brolin looks hot, Megan Fox looks slutty, I don't know how it will do or if I will go see it but at least we have a trailer to entice us now.
Toy Story 3
Will be Best Animated Feature of the year - hands down - This will RULE the School! I can't wait! and 3D!
June 25
Dogtooth
This movie looks really messed up but for that very reason it is intiguing. Popular at last years Cannes I am interested in checkingit out. Basically a crazy family keeps their kids overly sheltered from the real world leading to them having the minds of children even in their late teens. When they are exposed to the real world it becomes even more messed up.
Grown Ups
I thought this would be funny. in my 2010 movie post I had listed it as something I looked forward to seeing. I saw the preview and though it looks funny enough, I don't think I will pay to go see it. Maybe as a double feature at the drive-in but not to go see just this movie. DVD worthy sure.
Knight & Day
No interest really, we'll see.
June 30
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Nothing to say here - we all know how I feel about Twilight and that I wl be there opening night and multiple times opening weekend. I only saw Twilight twice in theatres and New Moon three times opening weekend then waited for DVD but Eclipse I sense will be different. Eclipse is my fave book and I think will be my fave movie so expect it to make a lot money from me alone ha ha!
July 2
Last Airbender
This movie looks cool and not only because Jackson Rathbone is in it, though that is admitedly what drew me to the movie.
July 9
Despicable Me
I didn't have much interest in this film especially with Toy Story and Shrek coming out - animation overload, but I saw the trailer and changed my mind, it looks so cute and quirky and I will deffo go check it out. AND it's also 3D!
Inception
This too didn't seem too interesting until I saw the trailer and understood the concept a bit more. It looks like a pretty intense psychological thriller - I would love to see.
Other Movies I previously listed aren't included because I have no mor einfo on them or no interest in commenting one way or another about them.
And these aren't Summer Movies but I have to include anyways - I am so excited for them!
Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part 1.
And The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader which I mentioned in my Previous Post.
What movies are you most looking forward to this summer? Comment Below!

-----------------------------------------------------
Apparently we get a song per hour starting at 8am? WTF? Games - I am too old for... in which case I will post complete list by the time it is fully available LoL
Starting at 8:00 A.M. PT tomorrow morning, we will be announcing each band that will be appearing on the soundtrack for the latest installment of the sink-my-fangs-into-your-neck soap opera, one every half hour. Hope you have six hours to spare! As evidenced by the success of bands such as Paramore—who landed on the first Twilight soundtrack—this is one album that emerging acts will alway vie to be a part of.
First - who uses MySpace still anyways?
Second - I don't have 6 hours to spare - omg I barely have an hour lately... geez!!
Last - why the games? I get "build-up" but seriously? Do you want to give TwiFans another reason to be pissed off about something?
Anyways - by 2pm PST I will have all songs listed though I predict each half hour a band/song becomes a Trending Topic on Twitter?!?! ha ha
Pre-Order Here:
Volturi Still from Eclipse
I just love seeing these stills and knowing that I was there when they filmed, silly I know, but this was filmed right near a parkade I park in everytime I go to my fave comedy show.
Neat!

Twilight Book Sales Slow down
According to Lagarder, the parent comply of Hachette & Little Brown, Twilight sales have finally reached a plateau of sorts. According to an article in The Book Seller:
“Lagardère Pubishing saw a 6.5% decline in revenues for the first quarter of 2010, with sales down from €30m to €433m for the period to end-March 2010 after what it described as “the expected erosion in Stephenie Meyer sales”.
Hachette UK said its sales had been “strong” in the first quarter of 2010, with underlying sales across HUK up on 2009 and “considerably ahead of expectation”. This was despite continuing international economic uncertainty, and a fall of 6% in the overall UK market. Hachette UK added that “inevitably, sales of Stephenie Meyer’s backlist have steadied after their phenomenal performance in 2010″.
Business Week is also reporting on the trend.
“Lagardere last year benefitted from the success of Meyer’s vampire-themed “Twilight” novels, published by its Hachette Book Group unit. In 2010 guidance issued in March, the company said its publishing division would see a “return to normal” after brisk sales of “Twilight” books and related products.
Last month, the company fought off a challenge from American activist shareholder Guy Wyser-Pratte, who sought a board seat to force a “strategic review” and changes to a corporate structure that gives Arnaud Lagardere extra powers.”
You can see a bit of the trend on this week’s New York Times Bestseller Lists. The Twilight Graphic novel is in second position in its category(graphic books). The Twilight Saga books are in forth in their category (Children’s series: note there is no YA distinction) behind the House of Night series, Percy Jackson, and Diary of a Whimpy Kid. It should also be noted that The Host paperback edition is in fifth place in its category. So while not gone from the lists, the books do not have their previous stranglehold on the top spots in all categories.
What will really be interesting to watch is how well the Bree Tanner novella performs when it goes on sale June 5th. It will mark the first time any new Twilight specific information has come out in almost two years. How many people will opt for a hardcover version vs. how many people will want the PDF free version.
Mandy's Mind - This slow down is inevitable is it not? I think it will pick up again with the release of the new novella. I will be purchasing the hard cover of The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella (Twilight Saga)
to go with my collection... though I will likely download it first to read ASAP ;)

Summer House to play at Toronto Film Festival June 1 - 6
By Kim Palacios
HollywoodNews.com: In a few weeks time, The Worldwide Short Film Festival will be screening “The Summer House”, a short film in which Robert Pattinson plays. The short film is an adaptation of a coming-of-age story in which a teenage girl (Jane) summering at an aunt’s chateau in rural France discovers the complexity of romantic relationships—both those of certain family members, as well as her own.
The film was shot in 2008, just prior to the release of “Twilight”, the final buffer between Rob and international mega-stardom. In “The Summer House”, Rob plays the role of 18-year-old Richard, the love interest of Jane. Having broken up with her to date another woman prior to her departure for the summer, once dumped by the other, he appears unexpectedly at Jane’s retreat to win her back. Through a series of benign advances (e.g., love letters) and other more forceful attempts, he pushes Jane to come farther into herself.
The film’s official web site describes Richard as a “good looking boy, with an ambivalent feminine side, skinny and androgynous in the fashion of that time. He is narcissistic and entirely self regarding, his is a solipsistic universe with only one golden person inhabiting it; himself.”
The festival will run from June 1st to June 6th in Toronto, Canada, and will feature a series of celebrity shorts. In addition to Robert Pattinson in “The Summer House” other notable celeb appearances include Vincent D’Onofrio (“The New Tenants”), Saturday Night Live’s Kristen Wiig (“One Night Only”), and the voice of Meryl Streep (“There Must Be More to Life”).

Salary Dispute holding up Breaking Dawn Announcements
I will also preface this post by saying I do not ever claim to have all the answers, and I know I have haters out there who are fiends for these kinds of posts, waiting to "prove Mandy wrong" but I have to say that this article isn't entirely true.
I know for a fact of least one inaccuracy which makes me doubt the rest of the information. With me it's about reliability.
If I read an article and see false things, I in turn, doubt other things that source says. It isn't always because I have "insiders" feeding me information, often, it is common sense and research.
I am human, human's make mistakes. I am also VERY opinionated and so I offer a strong perspective on almost everything which makes some people love my blog and others hate it... and in turn, me.... but I disgress...
Here is the article causing a stir over salary bidding wars, delayed announcements, location switching rumours and more Breaking Dawn Drama...
EXCLUSIVE: Summit Entertainment is working furiously to close the talent deals required to split Stephenie Meyer's fourth "Twilight" novel into two films. But an unlikely roadblock is holding up an announcement -- and could even lead to cast changes for the series' final installment.
The studio is close to finalizing agreements with leads Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, all of whom will get big raises to return for a fifth installment of the vampire romance saga. And director Bill Condon is already signed to film two "Breaking Dawn" movies, which would be shot back-to-back starting in the fall and released in November 2011 and summer 2012, respectively.
But Summit is having a harder time locking in some of the franchise's secondary characters. Deals for Peter Facinelli (who plays Carlisle Cullen) and Billy Burke (Bella's father, Charlie Swan) are done, but we're told the actors who play the Cullen kids (especially Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene) are trying to sink their teeth into bigger paydays that, at least at this point, the studio behind the billion-dollar franchise is unwilling to provide. "We may have a situation where one of them is thrown out on the street to make a point," says a source close to the dealmaking.
So are we headed for a recasting on the final "Twilight"?
There is precedent for such a tactic. After the success of the first film, Summit axed Rachelle Lefevre, who played Victoria, in part because her reps played hardball on money. (Bryce Dallas Howard got the job instead.) Now, two films into the series, even the minor Twilighters (Lutz in particular) have become sought-after stars, so it makes sense they'd want to be paid more for the final film. But we're told that the offers from Summit -- which are said to be at least 10 times what the actors made on the first movie -- were deemed "offensive" given the mega-money the franchise has generated.
Summit declined to comment on the situation. But the studio wants to move quickly to pull the trigger on the two movies -- which it won't until the talent deals are further along -- and it isn't afraid to recast if agreements can't be reached. Plus, it has even more reason to be concerned about costs this time around. As is typical with blockbuster franchises, the "Twilight" movies are becoming more expensive with each installment. The leads are going to do especially well if "Breaking Dawn" is split into two parts. The trio were initially signed for three films (remember, this was back when "Twilight" was a low-budget adaptation of a niche YA novel), but in the spring of 2009 -- after the first movie became an international hit -- they renegotiated all their deals so Summit could lock them for a fourth movie.
The studio then realized that "Breaking Dawn," with its 900-plus pages and narratives told from two perspectives, was dense enough to be split into two installments (as Warner Bros. announced it would do for the final "Harry Potter" book). Just one problem: The cast wasn't signed for a fifth movie. They're all huge stars now, with Lautner in particular running up his quote to the $7.5 million range, so another renegotiation commenced.
That meant ponying up big-time for the leads, which will make the final movie far more expensive than the others ("Eclipse," which hits theaters June 30, is costing around $65 million, a figure sure to be dwarfed by the fourth and fifth, even if costs can be amortized by shooting them at the same time). For that reason, Summit is still holding out the option of simply doing one "Breaking Dawn," although multiple sources say they'd be shocked if the fifth film doesn't happen. "This thing is gonna be two movies," one source says. "With or without the cast intact." Meyer has already signed off on the plan to make two — a key hurdle, given the approval rights she has in her deal.
Summit also is eyeing another cost-cutting measure for the final installments. A deal is currently being negotiated to move the production to Louisiana (the first was shot in Portland and the second two in Vancouver and Italy). Luring "Twilight" would be a huge "get" for the state -- and, given the tax credits, a money-saver for the studio.
"Twilight" has thus far been the rare tentpole franchise made on a non-tentpole budget. It'll be interesting to see the lengths that Summit will go to to keep it there. Booting an actor from the final installment of a successful series could be a risky move, though we're betting that as long as their precious Bella, Edward and Jacob return, fans would get over any disappointment pretty quickly.
Mandy's Mind - I wish I could disect this article to examine all it's parts... and I suppose I could, but the time and effort involved is not worth it.
I will say that I too heard of potential cast changes because of a salary dispute but it wasn't as listed in this article. In fact, this article seems to have switched up who is signed and who was in negotiations but who knows what happened over the weekend?!?
I still believe it will be filmed in Vancouver and I hope it will involve all the current cast though I wouldn't be surprised if one or two are replaced or cut (again not the ones listed as being in dispute right now)
I don't know what is happening, I can't wait for official word since everyone who has "inside sources" seems to have conflicting answers on the next move... it's no wonder the usually reliable sources all contradict each other, Summit clearly has no friggin' clue what they will do next.... never a good sign.
Let's just agree that in time Breaking Dawn will be announced, and let's be happy we have a director at least. Once Breaking Dawn is announced we can re-read all the gossip and rumours and see who had it right and who is still most reliable for information.
Time will Tell.

Bob Berney leaves Apparition suddenly - Fate of WTTR?
There is no word on the fate of "Welcome to the Rileys" or any other movie currently in the works. Stay tuned for developing information.
From: Deadline
In a pre-Cannes bombshell, Bob Berney tendered his resignation from the top post of indie distribution company Apparition to its owner, River Road's Bill Pohlad. I hear Pohlad was blindsided by the move, especially since Berney and his staff were about to get on planes to travel to Cannes and look for pictures to acquire. Pohlad has abruptly canceled those plans, and now Apparition won't be a presence at the festival when it starts on Wednesday.
Berney spent the better part of a year raising money to form the company after his Picturehouse was shuttered by Warner Bros. Though he hoped to establish a new company with several filmmakers, Berney wound up aligning with Pohlad as the sole financier when the venture was announced last August. Pohlad and Berney originally said their goal was to acquire and release eight pictures per year, and Apparition got underway with the Jane Campion-directed Bright Star last fall. So far, it had been slow going, with Apparition distributing The Runaways and The Square and at year's end was set to distribute the Terrence Malick-directed Tree of Life starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn, which is apparently still the plan. Pohlad did not give the Doug Liman-directed drama Fair Game, which stars Naomi Watts and Sean Penn, and which premieres in competition at Cannes. That film will be distributed domestically by Summit. Was Berney bitter about not getting to distribute the hot-button film? Haven't been able to reach him yet to see.
Here's the email that just went out to staff from Apparition's owner Bill Pohlad about Bob Berney, the head of the company:
To our Apparition colleagues and staff:
As some of you may know, Bob Berney has submitted his resignation to me. I suspect that this news comes as a surprise to many of you. It certainly did to me. So I can’t claim that we have a plan in place yet in the wake of this announcement. I can, however, assure you that we will be working in the days ahead to explore our options regarding his replacement. In the meantime, Valerie Bruce, our Senior Vice President of Business Affairs, will serve as interim COO.
I apologize for whatever confusion and uncertainty this news may cause, but know that we are proud and grateful for all the work that you have put into the company and appreciate your continued support.
Bill Pohlad

Iron Man 2 - My Review
I Loved Robert Downey Jr !! He reprised his role as Tony Stark and had the perfect charisma, attitude, sexiness. Something about his as Tony Stark is friggin' hot!
I am not a huge fan of Gwyneth Paltrow, though she used to be awesome in recent years she hasn't impressed me much. In the first Iron Man I really enjoyed the banter between her character, Pepper Potts and RDJ's Tony Stark and this movie it was even better. She had more of a role in this movie and I didn't hate her.
Scarlett Johansson was looking hot. She was a bit random and I was confused on if she was really an important role or not but she was pretty to look at. She had a few great lines but mostly just filled the "hot girl" quota for the flick (Because let's face it, that will never be Gwenyth Paltrow's job)
Mickey Rourke was absolutely AMAZING as Ivan Vanko in this movie. I was thoroughly impressed, he exuded the perfect amount of evil, malice and confidence to completely creep me out in a good way. He was haunting and it was fantastic!
Sam Rockwell as Mr. Justin Hammer was an annoying, but entertaining character. I think he is supposed to be annoying, so mission accomplished. The same goes for Garry Shandling as Senator Stern - though there is a great court scene thwt I enjoyed and laughed fairly hard at, that was entirely Robret Downey Jr.
Samuel L Jackson is always kick-ass and I enjoyed him as Nick Fury, though the story didn't feel developed enough and since I don't follow comic books I was wanting a bit more explanation on him and Natalie Rushman / Natasha Romanoff.
Seeing Don Cheadle instead of Terrence Howard was an adjustment, I tend to get attached to actors as characters in series and HATE casting changes, but I adapted quickly. Loved seeing "War Machine" especially when Iron Man & him have a lover's spat.
Even as a non-comic book geek/follower I could see the potential of upcoming movies (Avengers - 2012) it was exciting. I advise those who haven't seen it to wait until after the credits, like with the first movie, for a brief but telling clip.
So to summarize:
Good - RDJ, overall Casting, chemistry of characters, action sequences, dialouge
Bad - too many subplots that non-comic book fans may not fully appreciate, random time wasters that could be better used, flow (middle was a bit slow at times)
Overall - GO SEE IT IN IMAX
Nordstrom's New Eclipse Merch
The “Newborns” burnout v-neck tee ($30) makes a statement on the front, which might give away your secret Stephenie Meyer obsession to the world, but a real woman shouldn’t be afraid to strut what she loves in public
MTV reports on the new merch coming to NOrdstrom's for Eclipse.
The Luna Twilight Duwop "Blush" Lip Venom ($16) has to be the best stuff to hit the make-up industry since that lip-plumping craze five years ago. This gloss is a must because it is great for moisturizing and it gives lips that all-day fresh color appearance. If you often forget to reapply after lunch like me, it’s no biggie because it stays on for hours (plenty of time for some vampire makeout sessions ... wink wink!). The formula has a venom-tinged conditioning oil combined with a pink-plumping lip stain great for a youthful and gorgeous appearance.
Nordstrom's line, which will be found will in the BP. department in stores, will be available for preorder beginning next Saturday, and in-store and online purchasing will start June 5!

Eclipse - There will be Blood
By YVONNE VILLARREAL
The family that slays together, stays together. At least that’s the case for the Cullen brood.
In “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” which hits theaters June 30, Seattle is ravaged by a series of killings caused by an army of newborn vampires controlled by revenge-seeking bloodsucker Victoria. To combat the threat against Bella (Kristen Stewart) in this third installment of the franchise, the Cullens must band together and join forces with their sworn enemies, the wolf pack.
“The whole family is in a vulnerable position because of the love we have for Bella,” said Elizabeth Reaser, who plays matriarch Esme Cullen. “If she’s not OK, we’re not OK.”
In the past, we’ve seen the clan hit baseballs so hard that they can play only in a thunderstorm, to block out the sound. And we’ve watched the buttoned-up human imposters welcome Bella into their home as the human girlfriend of one of their own — the handsome Edward.
“This time around, you get to see their true vampire-ness,” said Peter Facinelli, who plays lead vampire Carlisle Cullen in the series based on the best-selling books by Stephenie Meyer.
The film is directed by David Slade, the edgy filmmaker behind “Hard Candy” and “30 Days of Night.” And if the trailer is any indication, he has definitely given the franchise a darker sensibility.
“The guys are going to bring their girlfriends to this one, mark my words,” said Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen. “There’s a lot of fighting, a lot of cool stunts. It’s a little darker. The stuff I’ve seen so far is amazing. Amazing. The music is great. Everything is just really captivating. I’m excited to see it, and I’m excited for the fans to see it.
“The stunts are so cool. It was a bit weird, like for the main battle scene where the newborns come in. I mean, we’re looking at these cardboard cutouts as we’re acting, as we’re supposed to be head-butting creatures. So to see it live on the screen is so cool.
“And running on the treadmills to do the chase scene was awesome. We were being pulled by a truck going really fast to make it seem like we were running at vampiric speed. To see it on screen, it looks epic.”
What else can we expect from the pale-faced Cullen family (which includes the Hale siblings) this go-round? Here’s what the actors say audiences can expect from the story and their characters:
•Facinelli: “For me, as Carlisle, it’s an exciting portion of the series. Carlisle is very compassionate, and he has a lot of killing to do in this movie. I joke, after he kills the bad guys, he says he’s sorry in his head.
“And, you know, he’s calm and level-headed. He’s the rock of the family. He usually has a lot of information to draw from because Alice can see into the future and Edward can read minds. In this third movie, he’s not getting that information. Neither one of his sources is working, so he’s kind of flying blind.”
•Reaser: “Esme is still a vampire. She still wants to kill people all day long. It was interesting to get in touch with the vampire side of her in ways that haven’t really been explored. Her family is in danger, and that brings out the mama bear in her.
•Ashley Greene (as Alice Cullen): “Yeah, she’s delicate and prissy at times, but Alice gets a little edgier with each installment. And with these vampires messing with her family and the people she loves, you’re going to see a bit of her toughness. It’s a reminder to the audience that even though we restrain ourselves at times, we’re still vampires and we’re dangerous. You’re going to see the dark, dangerous side of Alice.”
• Lutz: “You’re going to see a smile on Emmett’s face from start to finish. He just loves to fight. And there’s a lot of fighting. He sort of plays bigger in this one than the others.”
•Nikki Reed (as Rosalie Hale): “You see a reason for her attitude. I think fans will feel for her. There was a bit of that in ‘New Moon.’ Fans got to see a bit of her sensitive side. Her sane side. Her logical side. And her desire to help her family. This time around, she is much more of a participant. She’s a survivor. This is her family. So if protecting Bella means protecting her family, she’s going to do it.”
•Jackson Rathbone (as Jasper Hale): “You’ll get to see a little bit of the root of what makes Jasper so withdrawn and quiet in the Cullen family. Fans will get some of Jasper’s back story in ‘Eclipse.’ I got to wear the whole Civil War gear and everything. There’s a bit of the softer and darker side of Jasper in this film.”
•Robert Pattinson (as Edward Cullen): Snagging a phone interview with the brooding dreamboat — who was overseas shooting his latest film, “Bel Ami” — proved difficult.
So what can we expect from the lovesick Edward? He promises to love Bella “every moment of forever,” as the trailer reveals. He’s still hesitant about her becoming a vampire. He’s determined to protect her from Victoria. And he’s vying with Jacob for her affections. Oh, the life of an antique teenage vampire.

Rachelle Lefevre at Oprah’s Mother’s Day Walk
Rachelle LeFevre took part in a charity walk in New York City on Mother’s Day that was organized by Oprah Winfrey. A variety of causes earned money. Rachelle was specifically raising money for Best Friends Animal Society which is an organization that provides education on responsible pet ownership, encourages adoptions, etc. Rachelle met her goal and raised $1,250 for the cause. Rachelle and her boyfriend, Jamie, are HUGE pet lovers. They sadly lost their dog Honey earlier this year right, but they are still the proud owners of Jack Sprat and Momma Bear, two rescue adoptees.
Before starting the walk Rachelle took the time out to chat with some Brazilian fans and to give one a birthday shout out.
