TGIF - A Long Weekend
Friday it is.
I am excited for the long weekend.
Last Night Billy was seen by fans going for a walk.
Also last night Kellan and Jackson were out for dinner together and very kind to fans who snapped their photo and got autographs. (Kellan in a ball cap and Jackson in his "fancy" hat as I call it.... )
And now the weekend can begin.... even though Peter, Kellan and Ashley are away...
It is a long weekend they can enjoy with their families and friends - which is how I plan to spend my weekend also.
Tonight Kristen and Billy were in studio working late.
Today was also a good day to spot Bryce & Xavier outside their hotel and lot's of hustle and bustle of cars including Kristen's manager popping out...perhaps for a late bite to eat?
There was speculation that a cast dinner may happen....
I didn't stay long enough to find out - I was hoping for a repeat of last Friday's cast dinner however, with some of them out of town and some of them working late - it didnt' seem to be happening anytime within my schedule... I left - many stayed - Hoping they have good luck :)

Twilight Lexicon's Fan Site Friday Interview with Chris Weitz explains why Bella's House is wrapped (well inadvertently) since he states it would likely be disassembled and stored to keep safe - instead it is wrapped up in tarps, fenced, alarmed and video surveillanced.
Q: So is all this [indicating the Bella’s house set] going to stay up though?
Chris: You know it’s funny I’ve been knocking it around in my head what the best thing to do would be. I would imagine what they are going to do is to disassemble it. Because I mean you know it looks great, but it’s not really up to code. I’m not sure that it would withstand a BC winter and everything. I think probably what they’ll do is take it apart and put it into storage and build it back up again while still I imagine maintaining a rent on this land would be my best guess.
Q: So we can see that people can actually go in the house?
Chris: Yeah well the interesting thing is in certain angles it is perfectly dressed. But if you were to look at other angles you could see that it is just an empty core. So that when Jacob jumps in the window, which he is going to do eventually, then we have enough to be inside the window to have Bella step back as he comes in, but you wouldn’t see the other way around into the window- then we flip to the interior- but hopefully when it all comes to the movie and editing it will all be seamless in the way it comes together. You’ll never notice that kind of stuff so its a smooth cut.

Twilight Lexicon's Fan Site Friday Continues with an interview with Chris Weitz:
Chris Weitz talked with us for thirty minutes. After five we knew New Moon was in good hands, after ten we knew he was a genius, and after fifteen well…you read and you decide. He’s definitely one of those “who would you want in a foxhole” kind of guys.
Q: Have you talked to Stephenie Meyer- has she given you any tips?
Chris: Oh yeah we speak all the time. We email back and forth all the time. She’s been to visit the set, and I went down to Arizona to hang out with her. Yeah I’m running stuff past her constantly so that the mythology of the series isn’t violated. I don’t want to pull any fast ones or make any mistakes in terms of things that I present which don’t make sense in her universe. You would have to ask her, I don’t want to make any claims, you’d have to ask her to the degree to which she is satisfied. At least she says to me that she feels the film is very beautiful, and that’s not a credit to me that’s more Javier Aguirresarobe the DP who does absolutely beautiful work. And the idea is to try to make as elegant and beautiful a rendering of the book as possible.

If this update on the medieval crusader for the poor has half the drama and action of its production, it's going to be one hell of a movie. Ridley Scott directs Russel Crowe (Robin Hood) and Cate Blanchett (Maid Marian).

The green ogre is a money-printing machine, so he's back for a fourth installment — even though Shrek the Third looked to be running on fumes. The regular voice cast returns. In 3-D.

Jake Gyllenhaal looks like he did about 100,000 push-ups to bulk up for the role of Prince Dastan in this big-screen adaptation of the popular video game series. We're a little concerned about this one for a couple of reasons: 1) There's never been a good video game-movie adaptation, and 2) the last Walt Disney-Jerry Bruckheimer collaboration was G-Force.

The full title of this one is actually Sex and the City 2: The Menopause Years. Kidding! The first movie turned out to be one of the most successful chick flicks of all time, so a sequel was as inevitable as a Samantha Jones one-night stand.

Fans of the classic '80s TV show have been waiting for a movie version for years, and it's finally coming. Liam Neeson is Hannibal and Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) is Faceman. This big-screen adaptation of the comic book cowboy and Confederate bounty hunter has fanboys excited. We're with ya, fellas! Megan Fox is the early Oscar contender for Best Corset. Oh, Josh Brolin and John Malkovich also happen to star.

Pixar is about the only sure bet in Hollywood, so look for #3 in the Toy Story series to be a winner for kids and their parents alike. In 3-D.

Tom Cruise hasn't been seen in theaters since 2008's Valkyrie, and this comedy with Cameron Diaz sure seems like an odd place to reappear. (Though we're now reminding ourselves of his hilarious, profane, scene-stealing comedic turn as producer Les Grossman in Tropic Thunder. This move totally makes sense.)
July 9 - Despicable Me
This probably won't hold a candle to Toy Story 3 (or even Shrek 4 for that matter), but Despicable Me is trying hard with its take on the classic "wicked old man is really just a softie inside" storyline. It has a generally A-List voice cast as well, including Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Will Arnett, Russell Brand, and Julie Andrews. Yes that Julie Andrews.
July 16 - Inception
"From the director of The Dark Knight" and "starring Leonardo DiCaprio" automatically puts this at the top of our "Can't Wait" list. The recently released teaser trailer just adds to the intrigue and anticipation.
July 23 - Dinner for Schmucks
High-concept comedy about an extra-stupid man who can ruin the life of anyone he spends even a few minutes with. In the wrong hands this could go straight to DVD, but it stars Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, and that funny guy from The Hangover with the weird last name, Zach Galifianakis.
July 23 - Salt
This project has been a mess since it was announced in 2007. Philip Noyce replaced Peter Berg who replaced Terry George to direct, and in one of the strangest casting changes, Angelina Jolie replaced Tom Cruise as the lead. Jolie proved she can carry a thriller with Wanted and odds are she'll do it again.
July 30 - Little Fockers
Just when we'd completely forgotten about 2004's Meet the Fockers, Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) and Pamela Byrnes-Focker (Teri Polo) are expecting a baby, so we're reminded. Directed by Paul Weitz (American Pie).

August 6 - The Other Guys
An action comedy with the interesting pairing of Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell, who tries to regain some mojo after the disastrous Land of the Lost. Re-teaming with director Adam McKay (Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Step Brothers) should certainly help.
August 22 - The Expendables
We haven't seen Sly Stallone since 2008's splatterfest Rambo, and it's probably because he's been writing, acting, and directing what looks like a repeat performance — a splatterfest about a group of mercenaries who set out to overthrow a South American dictator. Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, and Jason Statham co-star. That dictator had better hightail it to Miami, pronto!
**Not that I don't want to see the others, but priority is given to ones I am already excited about a year prior :)

While Ashley and others have left "the Couve" several cast members remain and have been spotted out and about.
Just heard that a girl was out for dinner and met Jackson and Kellan this evening !!!!

Ashley Greene left Vancouver and went to an audition for another movie Thursday afternoon in Santa Monica.
Wonder what it is? Who could say no to her anyway?

Dakota Fanning is in L.A. and was seen shopping with her Momma.
Ashley Greene also went back to L.A. for the weekend.
Most predict they are getting some extra time off for this long weekend, but expect to be back to the grind next week.

Filming This Week
It's been a busy week for filming, though paparazzi and fans don't notice.... with the exception of Monday's Florida Beach Scene, the cast has been filming on sound stage at a local studio and away from the cameras and flashes of paparazzi, the glossy photos and markers of autograph hounds and the screams and squeals of fans.
I'm not gonna lie - studio filming sucks for set-stalking, but I am sure it is the cast's most fave time as they don't have to think twice about picking their nose or scratching their butt.
They can focus on their character, their scene and just relax.... which all-in-all will only result in a better film non?
Lainey reported that filming this week is mostly studio.
All filming on set this week take place at Bella’s house (on a sound stage) so Billy has been shooting with a busy Kristen Stewart...scenes include:
“Bella” reading “Jacob’s” letter
Bella and Jacob and their angsty discussions
“Edward” telling Bella he’ll always love her and that she will always be “his”
Bella hanging out with “Angela” talking about boys and Bella’s Edward/Jacob love triangle.
Wednesday’s shoot involved a creepy Riley getting all stalkerish in Bella’s room and “Edward” the hero realising someone was there.

Lainey Reports that Ashley Greene left Vancouver yesterday with her dog. Perhaps for an extra long labour day vaycay or to swap clothes since weather is getting cooler.
Her puppy is so adorable.
I guess the rest of the studio shoots this week do not involve her which helps me in my ongoing deduction of what is being filmed heh heh

Rathbone: Oh yeah, we have to see that. It's going to be great. I've been studying up a lot on the Civil War and that era. It really was a crazy time. It was all-out war on our own turf and between countrymen. That's terrible. It's an interesting time to see when Jasper was actually human and what his human form was and, when he gets turned, how intense and how dark he is. Then [we'll see] his realization of what he's become, him finding Alice and being redeemed by love.

Kristen Stewart Naked in her next film? Welcome to the Riley's
This is the first I heard about this - maybe I just haven't been online enough lately...
Also Celebrity Gossip Says:
According to a report, the “New Moon” actress plays a young lap dancer and prostitute in a new film called “Welcome to the Rileys” by “Sopranos” star James Gandolfini.
And the role includes multiple scenes of Stewart walking around nude, something Kristen says will most likely bring in quite an audience. “It’s an independent movie that nobody would normally see and now it’s like, ‘Oh, let’s go see Bella [Twilight character] in this stripper movie; it’ll be crazy!’”
Stewart continued, “Working with James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo, who is just incredible, was the most fruitful life-changing experience on a movie that I’ve ever had. It was just the hardest subject matter I’ve ever had to deal with — I play a very broken young girl who is a runaway. She’s a street kid. She’s working in a strip club and James Gandolfini’s character is just as dead inside as she is — and they wake each other up.”
I think the story itself sounds great - I am shocked that 19 year old Kristen Stewart is going to get nekkid though....

I don't think this source looks very reliable....
For one it says Kristen in currently filming "New Moon" in Canada.
But here is the "scoop" according to the site:
The 19-year-old, who shot to fame with her role as Bella Swan in the vampire romance saga, has created a buzz with her decision to bare all for the cameras.
Stewart will be seen in the buff in many scenes of the film where she plays a 16-year-old sex worker, Mallory, who brings together an estranged couple played by James Gandolfini and Oscar nominee Melissa Leo.
