Revenge: Josh Bowman on Jimmy Kimmel

I missed this interview.... but was glad to find it on youtube!

I had no idea he had an accent... I knew he was dating Emily VanCamp, his Revenge co-star... and that he was incredibly sexy (with the exception of his one "really angry and surprised" face he has made twice on the show ha ha) but he is actually quite charming and his accent makes him even more attractive doesn't it?

Britt Robertson in Under the Dome

With all my excitement over Austin Butler in The Carrie Diaries, I am more excited that Britt Robertson (Fellow Life Unexpected castmate, and Secret Circle cast mate) will be in Under the Dome.

Deadline reports:

Britt Robertson has been cast in a drama series for the CW sister network CBS. Robertson has joined Under The Dome, CBS’ 13-episode summer series from Steven Spielberg and Stephen King. Based on King’s bestselling novel, Under The Dome is set in Chester’s Mill, a small New England town suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town’s inhabitants must deal with surviving the post-apocalyptic conditions while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from and if and when it will go away. Robertson will play Angie, an attractive young waitress and aspiring nurse who’s always dreamed of escaping the town of Chester’s Mill.

It seems the CW loves her (LUX, Secret Circle) so surely she will continue with a great career, I just hope the shows last longer... I was so upset over the cancellation of both LUX and TSC (both Vancouver productions too by the way!)

Has anyone read Stephen King's novel that this show is based on?

Steve Jobs movie - Ashton Kutcher

The Carrie Diaries Confession....

So, I have to admit it, I have been forced into confession because of the new show "The Carrie Diaries"....

I have never, ever, not even once, seen a single episode of Sex in the City... oops, I have been corrected, it is "Sex & the City" see - epic fail!

I have always been a "watch from the start" kind of gal and when it hit my radar it was already in it's 3rd or so season and I didn't have PVR (did it even exist in late 90s?) and so I just never watched it.... fast forward to about 2008 when the Sex and the City movie comes out... all my friends are having parties and I was all "meh"

Now, The Carrie Diaries comes out, and I have a bit of interest but decide not to bother... I have too many shows to watch currently, I didn't watch Sex & the City, who cares right?

WRONG!

I gave in... it was the amazing 80s fashion and music that I couldn't resist... I had to watch... just once.... but I loved it!

SERIOUSLY loved it!!!

So, now I am obsessed! I don't care that I don't know Sex & the City, nor that some references may come up that I don't clue into without having seen Sex & the City.... I still love it!

It is timely too, Gossip Girl is gone and I need my fashion, drama from New York City... even if it is (ok ESPECIALLY if it is) in the 80s... best decade ever!!!

I love AnnaSophia Robb from Bridge to Terabithia and Austin Butler is adorable... reminds me a bit of Chord Overstreet... he looked so familiar to me but I couldn't place him. I IMDB'd him and then remembered.... JONES from Life Unexpected!!!

Life Unexpected was filmed here in Vancouver, I wish I'd spent more time by sets... I bumped into a lot of the cast in town, but never him... sadly ;)

Anyways, I confess, I love The Carrie Diaries, but I need you Sex & the City fans to let me know if stuff comes up that I would miss having not seen Sex & the City ok?

Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence talks to MTV

MTV interviewed Francis Lawrence on Catching Fire:

On whether there are major changes from the book:
"No, not really, I would say that it’s a really faithful adaptation. You know, whenever you're adapting something that’s a 12- or 14-hour read down to something that has to be around two hours, there’s going to be some cuts. We definitely made some cuts. I don’t want to go into that, but we did it with Suzanne, and I would say that it’s very, very faithful. We tried to get as much as we could in there."

On the scenes he's most proud of:
"It's interesting because there’s a very small blur—I want to say it's a paragraph long in the book—but the moment in the arena when the gamemaker starts to spin the cornucopia, and I’m very proud of that. We designed a very cool sequence and created a spinning island, and that’s going to be very, very cool. So that’s kind of fun and very unique. I’ve never seen anything like it. It's cool.

"You know one of the very first things we shot that I like quite a lot is, there is sort of a goodbye before she goes into the arena with Liam that I like a lot. And it was actually—we shot it because we needed summer foliage and summer flowers and things like that. We actually shot it while we were in prep. Very first thing we sort of went out into the meadow, out in the mountains in north Georgia and shot this sequence over three or four hours or so, and I really like it. I think it’s really nice. Jennifer and Liam are really good in it. It’s very nice."

On whether those IMAX rumors are true:
"Yeah, the idea is that it’s sort of mixed formats. But yeah, that’s the idea is that the arena is in the IMAX format so that once you go in the elevator and it opens up."

On whether his actors' jovial natures ever lead to disruptions:
"You know what? I believe that the process could be fun, I just think that making movies is really tough. And it’s stressful as it is, and I think that most of us got in this business because it’s fun to make movies. I think it should stay fun. And it’s a really fun group and a very talented group. I would say only occasionally, maybe once or twice, did it get a little rowdy on set. We had to sort of clear everybody out because it is a little distracting. Or you just nicely say, 'Hey guys, why don’t we take this off the set and go somewhere else?' And I will say you go with that combo of Jen and Josh and Woody together and it can be mayhem."

On "Mockingjay":
"Nina, John, Suzanne and I have gone through the book and created the beat sheets for it. And started going through all that and at least marking our initial ideas of what the moments would be and how it all breaks down. And Danny Strong, who’s writing the first one, is working now. So yeah, we’ve actually done a fair amount of work. We're starting to think about where we could shoot it and all of that."

Jennifer Lawrence looks great at SAG Awards

SAG Awards

I really enjoyed the SAG Awards tonight. I liked the pro-union messages, the charitable work showcased and all the pretty people!

I was super impressed with Jennifer Lawrence's win and Anne Hathaway and Claire Danes....

Downton Abbby cast looked so shocked "Shut the french windows" ha ha

Argo win was good, Ben Affleck is amazing though I still have not seen the movie yet... I have heard great things! I also loved Ben's speech - I have loved his wife, Jennifer Garner since Alias.... which Bradley Cooper was also in by the way (his movie was nominated too and I was rooting for it, Silver linings playbook, for my own bias reasons....

I love jessica chastain, so it was nice to see her present and look back at those we lost this year.

I loved the intros "I am an actor" especially Sophia V from Modern Family... "thanks to these I always look like a hooker" ha ha

What were your fave moments from the SAG awards?

Nina Dobrev at SAG Awards

I have been behind on posting and behind on watching tv/pvr and just behind at life ever since Christmas then our family vacation.

Tonight I caught up on The Vampire Diaries and then watched the SAG Awards and loved seeing photos of the sweetheart Nina Dobrev looking pretty in pink....

Jennifer Lawrence has Pneumonia....

It is award season and Jennifer Lawrence has been nominated for a number of awards and been on the go... at the last awards (Golden Globes I think) she was saying she would celebrate by going home to rest because she was sick.... looks like it was a good idea, she then came down with pneumonia...

US reports:

Get well, Jennifer Lawrence! The Silver Linings Playbook actress, 22, is dealing with a bout of pneumonia. Her costar in the acclaimed film, Jacki Weaver, announced Lawrence’s illness at the the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday, Jan. 26, where an absent Lawrence won the Best Actress trophy.
“I’m going to receive this on her behalf,” Weaver, 65, said at the podium. “Poor Jen is really sick. She really is sick. She has pneumonia.”
