SYTYCD 200TH EPISODE - Meet the Top 20
Judges:
Nigel Lythgo
Mary Murphy
Zooey Deschanel
This season two winners. One Male and One female. Also, only one episode a week (not a performance and a results show)
We review the 35 dancers who were left after Vegas, all who arrived in Hollywood last week to discover their fate.
We review those results by going through the dancers walk to hear the judges decision....
Panel: Tyce DiOrio, Debbie Allen, Nigel Lythgoe, Lil C, Mary Murphy, Adam Shankman
More...
Alexa
Last year she was last to go out (with Ryan, who was chosen) and she did not get it and said she wouldn't return. But she did, and she made it not only to Vegas but to Hollywood and tonight we learn she is the first to make the Top 20.
George
I don't really remember him from ATL auditions or even Vegas. Maybe he didn't get much air time, maybe I missed it, but he is in the Top 20.
Will
LA audition and she makes it.
Megan Branch
Contemporary dancers who auditioned in LA and was loved by Mary. Lil C delivers news she is NOT in Top 20
Nor is Collin Fuller.
Amber Jackson
Made it this far season 6 and was sent home. Season 7 she didn't make it as far as Season 6 and decided not to retun. Finally, she dropped her pride and returned. This year it was worth it because she finallty made it to Top 20. She is a contemporary dancer.
Back to the live show....
Will Thomas, George Lawrence, Alexa Anderson, Amber Jackson
Tyce DiOrio routine
We found love - Jesse J
They are very passionate dancers. I loved when the boys carried Alexa across the stage and how they used the bench. There were moments out of synch but it was a great opening routine to the season!
Back to last week....
There have been some quality ballroom dancers especially Whitney (just graduated high school) Lindsay and Nick.
Nick
He impessed Sonya in Vegas and has always felt in the shadows of other great dancers. He breaks down in tears again in front of the panel who give him the news that he is indeed in the Top 20.
Whitney & Lindsay
Friends since childhood, off and on competitiors their whole life they were roomies in Vegas and being both beautiful, young blondes who specialize in ballroom, we know that it is going to be another Alexa/Ryan thing... one or the other.... I personally like Whitney better, though I think Lindsay is more mature. The panel says they adore them both but are looking for one ballroom girl. Mary tells Whiteny she is in the Top 20 and Lindsay hugs her. Mary then says they adore Lindsay and want her in the top 20 too... wow! This is a bit of a shock but I am excited.
Back to the live show....
Nick Bloxsom-Carter, Witney Carson, Lindsay Arnold
Jason Gilkinson - Ballroom
Dance Again - Jennifer Lopez
The girls look fab in red dresses, I amnot sure Nick knows how to handle TWO women at once, it's a little bit rough in spots but extremely sexy. Those two are knock outs! Every mans fantasy I am sure, they do some amazing trio moves that I really liked.
Back to last week...
Ballet Technical Dancers are up....
Alianna
Mary loved her in LA and in Vegas she was a clusterball of emotions. After talking about her blue suede shoes, Debbie Allen tells her she is in Top 20.
Daniel
San Fran ballet dancer did amazing through Vegas but had an average solo. He was the one with the accent who I thought was a BELLY dancer not BALLET ha ha. He makes Top 20.
Kian
NYC professional dancer. he struggled in Vegas at times, but nailed his solo. He also makes Top 20, after Nigel made it sound like only one of them would...
Back to the live show...
Daniel Baker, Chehon Wespi-Tschopp, Eliana Girard
Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson
Romanic Inclinations - Like a Shot
I don't know ballet. But they were dressed cool and moved nicely. There was a moment where it got fast and abrupt versus the pretty floaty music and I really enjoyed it. Nigel said it was an amazingly tough routine, but that both men are already professional dancers who have given up their careers to be here. Nigel reminds everyone that the choreographers are brave as dancers because they are judged also.
Back to last week...
Jazz dancers
Tiffany
She seems shy and I don't remember her. Debbie says she was invisible but then like a race horse came up from the rear and now she is in the Top 20.
Katelyn, Kate and a few others do not make it.
Janelle Isiss
I loved her (the belly dancer)
Back to the live show...
Tiffany Maher, Audrey Case, and supposed to be Janelle Issis
Sonyah Teyeh
Sail - AWOLNATION
Janelle is ill and unable to perform tonight, the other two girls do well some nice lifts and typical Sonya choreo - my fave kind.
Back to last week...
Remember the guy who did a flip and knocked himself out? He didn't make it to Top 20 but Adam told him to return next year.
Blake, Jasmine, Danielle also sent home
12 dancers left, 7 spots
Matthew
Was told by NIgel he looks like Ryan Gosling, I don't see it.. well.. maybe. He is a cutie. Lucky us he will be in the Top 20.
Jenae
Gets in. One spot left for a girl... two girls left..
Amelia
NYC silent movie inspired routine and had to dance for her life in Vegas, though I felt like that was just for ratings.
Jill
SLC auditions, did well in Vegas.
Amelia or Jill? Ameilia is in - she had the star quality... I never doubted it.
Back to the live show...
Matthew Kazmierczak, Dareian Kujawa, Janaya French, Amelia Lowe
Stacey Tookey - Contemporary
Modern Drift - Efterklang
Beautiful Routine, a lot of movement all over the stage. I deffo love Amelia and Matthew most. It will be an amazing season!
Back to last week....
Cole
His martial arts style had him a judge fave from the start. he is in the Top 20
Tap Dancers
The two do not make it
Steppers
Brandon and Devon go together but Brandon is the only one to make it into the Top 20. Sadly, Devon is sent home. I am upset, I liked his energy and smile. Ah well.
Final two
Only one spot left. Cyrus and Feliciano. Only one can make it through. They go out together. Only Cyrus makes it. Wow! Dragonhouse has one rep in the Top 20 - exciting!
Back to the live show...
Cole Horibe, Cyrus Spencer, Brandon Mitchell
Chris Scott
Nathan Lanier – Resolve
I enjoyed seeing their styles mesh together in Chris Scott's routine. The baseball theme and the custom song that introduced them personally - it was awesome! Highighted their talentas ans specific styles yet brought them all together - LOVED LOVED IT! Face of the night for it's uniqueness and fun!
Group Dances:
Travis Wall: Top 10 Girls
Music: Sennen – Where the Light Gets In
I love Travis. He said he came in with choreo but then added tricks because they could handle it and were that good. His mind is beautiful. His choreo is always so stunning. I got goosebumps instantly. I mean, how can you not?
Sonya Tayeh: Top 10 Boys
- Music: Steed Lord – Precognition
Sonya worked these guys. Man on man she doesn't catre she wants touching. Some men were uncomfy with it, oen was upset about showing his jiggly parts to America, but they all did it and it was a steong powerful piece. It felt martial arts-esque but had Sonya's unique and distinctive flavour in it.
Mia Michaels: Top 20
- Music: Kaskade – Eyes
Mia Michaels, another fave choreogrpaher of mine. So emotionally charged. Goosebumps - always! I loved how they had the sunglasses on and off and on and worked together and separate and just - amazing! So glad Mia is back, with longer hair too!
I have to say I didn't raelly like the way it went to last weeks picking Top 20 to live shows dances and then back and forth...
But, given the new format for the show, I don't see any other way it could have worked better besides first hour/second hour but c'est la vie.
What did you think of the Top 20?
Which was your favourite routine tonight?
Any faves yet?

SYTYCD Vegas Round....
Tonight was Vegas week, the best episode of the auditions, pre live show... what a show it was, I have done a complete recap after the cut...
All the music form tonight's episode is posted here.
181 dancers head to Vegas for finals week and to dance for the panel of judges who will determine this year's top dancers to compete in the live shows.
8 rounds to get through:
solos
hip hop
broadway
jazz
groups
ballroom
contemporary
final solos
The panel of judges tonight:
Mary Murphy
Debbie Allen
Lil' C
Adam Shankman
Tyce DiOrio
and of course Nigel Lythgoe
More...
First up.... Solo's:
Massive cuts planned if the solo's don't shine.
Hampton Williams (The Exorcist) - Dallas
He had the long standing O and strange moves. I love the way he has choppy, skeleton movements with such soft, soothing music. It brought me chills and many udges had tears in their eyes. Pure Passion but such a unique style, I wonder who it would translate in other styles.
After first 10 - they assessed....
Jennifer and Brianna were sent home. The rest stayed another round. (Including Hampton)
Janelle Isiss - Belly Dancer - Alabama
She had a very intricate costume and as the only belly dancer was sure to stand out. She is extrememly secxy and mixed traditional and contemporary moves into her belly dancing. Then male judges, even the gay ones loved her.
Rihanna's "Where have you been all my life" plays as we see more bits and pieces of dancing - we then learn 51 cuts were made, uncluding the martial arts cutie.
See all music here
First Round of Choreo - Hip Hop
Choreographers: Twitch & Comfort
I love seeing Comfort and Twitch again - they are amazing!
Besides the amount of hip hoppers, they all still pic it up pretty fast!
Hampton, Dragonhouse Crew - Andre, Boris, Sirus have not done other peoples choreo before.
Sadly, Hampton who has never been choreographed before tells the judges he can't do choreography and bows out of the competition.
Then one of the dragonhouse dancers bails, without saying goodbye.
Boris is sent home, that leaves only one from dragon house... Sirus.
He makes it through.
Praying Mantis and mommy Bree were also sent home. Both great dancers.
97 were remaining. Plus one more group of about 6 or 8... so just over 100 move on to day 2.
Day 2 - Broadway
Tyce is intense but a lot made it through. I love the idea of something crazy in the drinks and the characters going a lil' strange. It was a fun routine to watch.
The blonde ballroom gals perform in first group. They have been friends since they were 9 and are both hotties. They all move on from first performance group.
Alexa, who was cut last - last year performs... Adam tells her she is not bringing it and she needs to or she will be cut. She looks "dead" no emotion.... she is given another chance, but with warning.
23 more head home, mostly criticized for not bringing the character of broadway to the routine. Some upset, some angry, some bitter, some tears, some vows to never return (yuh-huh we shall see)
82 remain....
Jazz - Sonya Tayeh
Who doesn't love Sonya's choreo? She is amazing! Intense! But amazing!
Hip Hopper Shefiek gets upset and complains a lot. His partner Danielle, is the bacon loveer from Atlanta who has dreamed of dancing with Sonya but is being held back by her partner, grumpy Shefiek.
Also in this first group is the burlesque gal from Salt Lake City, Rachel.
After they perform Shefiek complains he messed up - Nigel gives him shit. He and Rachel are sent home. The rest stay. Shefiek swears and leaves in a grumpy state, walking barefoot downt he street saying he will n ever be back... Rachel fights to stay and surprisingly judges agree to let her dance for her life.
Many more are eliminated as Sonya's choreo proves too difficult for many dancers.
Danielle returns to partner with someone else and he kicks her in the head - he is sent home, she heads to the medic. They are concerned and take her away on a stretcher....
Emilia from NYC (the black and white scene gal) was up next along with dragonhouse Sirus who's partner is ballroom Lindsay Arnold.
Emilia is asked to dance for her life as the judges are split.
Lindsay makes it through.
Sirus is told to take contemporary classes, but he is through!
15 more are cut.
Dance for your life
Emilia and Rachel return.
Rachel - sticks to her burlesque routes but the judges do not wish to keep her. Debbie tells her that some see her as just sex and so taking the burlesque route only magnifies those feelings. She suggests she returns with more clothes and more dancing.
Emilia - Performed beautifully and Sonya was an easy yes. Nigel said no because he doesn't see how she can be so good now, but not bring it into other people's choreography. Everyone else says yes. She goes through and she promises to bring a different animal tomorrow and make everyone love her.
Group Routines - 10pm
They pick a piece of music at random and they have all night to practice and perform in the morning. They get to choose their own groups of 5-6 people.
This is always my favourite round because of all the drama that kicks in with lack of sleep and bubbling personalities. I am really upset we didn't get to see more drama from the night
Day 3 - Group Routines
Daniel (ballet dancer with an accent saying "belly dancer") Audrey, Danielle (who was injured the day before) only joined the group at midnight when she got back from the hospital. Some were more willing to add her than others.... Daniel doesn't want her in the group, to re-do the routine or to go to bed....
Judges think they are a hot mess. I agree. They weren't in synch, it was pretty bad! Nigel says they should all be sent home, yet, after the judges discuss, they decide Charlie and Danielle go home and the rest stay.
There are a lot more eliminations "epic fail" says Adam Shankman, "I'm sorry" they say "it's totally forgettable" says Debbie Allen to one group. A lot of dancers who make it through are still upset as their friends head home.
The Highschoolers were amazing, they "went to prom" and the one girl, Aubrey, dances with each man and it is stunning! They all go through!
There were a lot of great bits shown from various groups. I really would love to attend a live taping of group day - so fun!
dres, adrian, and alexa were in the next group. All have been in the finals in previous season being cut at the very end before live shows started. The routine was good, though there were a few criticisms. Tyce is no longer enamoured by Alexas beauty - he really puts her ont he spot asking what this all means to her, telling her to demand attention. Mary adds she needs to take them somewhere and show the fire. She is quiet, she says she has fire to show, but she is so blah, like even her voice is calm, quiet and emotionless until she starts crying.
They all make it through.
The celebrations continue with all the dancers at the pool.
Ballroom - Jason Gilkison
Cha Cha time... many dancers are noticably terrified!!
Sirus, with no formal training is pretty good. The last standing dragonhouse makes it through for dancing for your life...
Many more are cute with tears and good-byes.
Aubrey gets cut after an amazing group routine being compared to Mia Michaels. She takes it VERY rough. She complans she can't get through, she can't get work and now she is headed home.
Alexa makes it through, she brought her personality - finally!
Finally, Sirus dances for his life - as much camera time as this kid has got, I'd be surprised if he doesn't make it to the live show / Top 20 Especially with "The Excorsist" having quit.
Contemporary - Travis Wall
One hour to practice and we all know how intense Travis is... |technically I am looking for perfection... this is the last round" Dancers are exhausted and the routine is tough.
Nigel announces that they will not provide results until the end of the day. The dancing is beautiful, the choreo makes it amazing but so many dancers just embrace it and it's a pleasure to watch. The dancers compliment each other and at the end of the day Nigel calls a few dancers down to the stage.
Theya ll make it - some more have to re-dance the routine. Most of the re-do's do not make it.
Day 4
Joshua tries his new trick - a back flip, but he lands and doesn't get up. Medics take him away.
The solo's are amazing - out of this world. Still, there are a few that are let go despite being amazing dancers...
Trey, Dres, Adrian Lee, and some others are cut... sadly.
No girls were cut. I think this may have been because there were far more girls cut in a previous round and they wanted to keep it even.
regardless, the remaning dancers go part in a suite with balloons and snacks.
Season 9 will be exciting... next week we learn who makes it through to the Top 20.....

Reality TV - Tuesday June 5
Tonight was another reality television night.
Masterchef
Auditions #2 was tonight and it didn't disappoint. Like last night there were some good, some bad and some questionable. As I said last night I will recap and blog episodes once auditions are over. It is just too hard for me before that point... and I am feeling lazy ha! Last night I listed a few names from Auditions #1. I missed the tall guy who everyone asked if he was a basketball player - he was awesome! Tonight a few stand outs included Felix (first gal), the dessert girl who ran for a rolling pin, the cowboys were entertaining at least, but the horse riding one got through. I also loved the husband and wife combo.
Love in the Wild
I seriously can't understand why I watch this show... but I do. It is usually my background show while I do other things online and my recaps are pretty vague idf I can remember names. I will try to do better this time, but no guarantees. Tonight's episode was a good start. I love Jenny McCarthy as host and the nick names the contestents used for each other("boobs mcgee") helped me since I usually have to refer to them by nicknames (Have you seen my Bachelorette recaps? "head injury guy" and "egg dude" and "long haired boy" LOL Sorry, I am not detail focused - CLEARLY!) Read my recap from tonight here....
Hells Kitchen
Episode #2 was tonight and the drama was full force. It is always equally entertaining and mind-blowing at how terrible these "chefs" are.... See my full re-cap from tonight's episode here.
Tomorrow: SYTYCD Auditions #3 (Again, I usually start recaps once we get our top group, though a bit of commentary happens during auditions and CERTAINLY during Vegas week!!!)
Thanks for reading.... Remember Big Brother Starts in a month - squeeeeee!!!

Reality TV Time Once Again
It has been a while since my last full post on Reazlity TV though I have done individual show posts plenty.... things are building up for the busy season again...
It's that time again, when there is way too much Reality Television on and my PVR is always full and I never run out of things to say..... excited? I thought so!
Bachelorette
See my recap of the latest episode here
Celebrity Apprentice
First of all, I wanted Audrey in the finale. Second of all, I thought Clay should have beat Arsenio. Ah well.
The Voice
I was not thrilled with the winner, but content. See my post here.
American Idol
I do not want Jessica to win. I wish she was eliminated the first time but the judges used their stupid save on her. I really though she would go home last week, but Josh was sent home. I have been rooting for the very sexy, very talented, very raw sounding, Phillip Phillips since day one and I hope he wins. I fear Jessica might. Either way, they are all talented, I just know thet regardless they will all have successful careers. In fact, I think those that do NOT win can pursue more rewarding careers than the show can provide. Who knows - I am rooting for PP and I will buy his cd and go to see him in concert.... I will not for Jessica.
SYTYCD
New season starts soon - SQUEE! It feels like it has been so long., THey cancelled SYTYCD Canada which is depressing, but at least the American version returns this week. THings will be different this season, for one there is only one two-hour episode a week, also there will be one male and one female winner at the end. THey will use the previous weeks votes and reveal them after the routines are performed so they aren't nervous during the routines.
Hell's Kitchen
Ramsey returns in a couple weeks with a new season of Hell's Kitchen.
ANTM
Of course it comes down to one American and One British model. I really love Sophie since forever and hope she takes it home!
Big Brother
It seems like just yesterday I had my wisdome teeth surgery and was high and bed-ridden and watching live feed for Big Brother *sigh* last summer... the good ol' days. I have heard strange buzz about this season... Thursday July 12 it returns, I will be at SDCC but will PVR it for sure!
Love in the Wild
This show was so bad, but I had to watch it, Jenny McCarthy is hosting, she is also apparently doing playboy again.... anyhow, it is on this summer and I will probably watch.
X Factor
Well there are some new judges, and I will watch.... but I am still bitter I didn't get in last year when I had tickets and waited in line all day... grrr...
What am I missing?

DWTS 13 - Pairings
Dancing With The Stars Season 13 "stars" were announced last week and now we have the pairings...
[Via Reality World
Dancing with the Stars' thirteenth-season professional partner cast features nine professionals who have previously competed on the show: two-time mirror ball champion Mark Ballas, two-time mirror ball champion Cheryl Burke, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani, three-time mirror ball champion Derek Hough, two-time mirror ball champion Kym Johnson, Lacey Schwimmer, Karina Smirnoff, and Anna Trebunskaya.
In addition, the cast also includes three professional dancers who will be making their debut as Dancing with the Stars partners: Val Chmerkovskiy, Tristan MacManus and Peta Murgatroyd.
Dancing with the Stars 13
MacManus and Murgatroyd were both members of the "Dancing with the Stars Troupe," the new six-member dance performance group the show introduced during last spring's twelfth season, while Val Chmerkovskiy is the younger brother of veteran professional partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
The 12 celebrity participants -- which ABC announced Monday -- competing on Dancing with the Stars' thirteenth season are actor David Arquette, NBA basketball player Ron Artest, transgender advocate Chaz Bono, model and George Clooney ex-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis, former The Hills star Kristin Cavallari, legal commentator Nancy Grace, Keeping Up with the Kardashians sibling Rob Kardashian, fashion expert and former Queer Eye star Carson Kressley, former talk show host Ricki Lake, Iraqi war veteran and All My Children soap star J.R. Martinez, singer and actress Chynna Phillips, and American women's soccer star Hope Solo.
Ballas will be partnered with Cavallari. He previously won Dancing with the Stars' sixth season with Kristi Yamaguchi, eighth edition with Shawn Johnson, and is returning for his ninth season.
Burke will compete with Kardashian. She previously won Dancing with the Stars' second edition with Drew Lachey, third season with Emmitt Smith, and is returning for her twelfth season.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who is participating in his eleventh season, will be partnered with Solo.
Dovolani, who is back for his twelfth season, will dance with Phillips.
Hough -- who missed last spring's edition to film Cobu 3-D, an upcoming danced-themed movie that will represent his feature film debut -- will be partnered with Lake and participating in his eighth Dancing with the Stars edition. He previously won Dancing with the Stars' seventh season with Brooke Burke, tenth season with Nicole Scherzinger, and eleventh season with Jennifer Grey.
Johnson will be competing with Arquette and participating in her tenth season. She won Dancing with the Stars' ninth season with Donny Osmond and last spring's twelfth edition with Hines Ward.
Schwimmer, a former So You Think You Can Dance contestant, will be participating in her fifth Dancing with the Stars season and compete with Bono.
Smirnoff, who is back for her tenth season, will be partnered with Martinez.
Trebunskaya, who is participating in her eighth season, will dance with Kressley.
MacManus will be paired with Grace, while Murgatroyd will dance with Artest and Val Chmerkovskiy will be partnered with Canalis.
Dancing with the Stars' thirteenth season will premiere Monday, September 19 at 8PM ET/PT with a two-hour broadcast.
All 12 celebrities will perform a Viennese waltz or cha cha routine with their professional partner during the premiere, and the couple with the lowest combination of the judges' scores and home viewer votes will be eliminated on the following night's results show.

Water for Elephants meets SYTYCD Top 8 thanks to Tyce Diorio
I love when my world's collide. That is, when different obsessions I have cross-over or meet in some weird way less than 6 degrees of separation, in which I can connect almost anything ha ha!
During the So You Think You Can Dance Top 8 Group routine a few weeks ago Tyce Diorio choreographed an amazing group routine using "Setting up the Circus" from the Water for Elephants sountrack.
The only thing missing was a kiss from Reese and Rob ;)
Se more of my favourite group routines from SYTYCD Season 8 HERE

SYTYCD Season 8 - Some of my most favourite coupled dances
This season had some very memorable routines. Of course Melanie won, and had numerous amazing routintes this season, especially with Marko, but there were other memorable dances also.
For me, it is more about the choreographers. I love Sonya and Tice and Travis and Nappytabs and of course, Stacey Tookey but many others emerged this season with absolutely stunning routines!
From the start, Marko and Melanie were a stunning pair and had some very memorable routines.
Turn to Stone - Travis Wall
Mel & Marko
I Got U - Nappytabs
Mel & Marko
Skin & Bones - Dee Caspary
Mel & Marko
I could go on and on but there were other routines Melanie did without Marko that def. got her to be AMerica's favourite dancers.
Total Eclipse of the Heart - Mandy Moore
Mel & All_Star Neal
Game On - Sonya Teyah
Melanie & Sasha
It is CLEAR why these two ladies were our top 2 in the SYTYCD finale!
Sasha really was a shining star and I was glad to see her as 2nd place and not lower, as often it seems they do top male and top female which alludes to that being first and second placing.
This was the most stunning routine of Sasha with my fave Twitch
Misty Blue - Christopher Scott
Sasha & All-star Twitch
Fool of Me - Tyce Diorio
Sasha * All-Star Kent
One Night Stand / Memories - Nappytabs
Tadd & Jordan
Heavy in your arm - Sonya Teyah
Caitlynn and Marko
I could go on and on and on... but I want to do a different post on the amazing GROUP ROUTINES from this season!

SYTYCD Season 8 - Some of my most favourite GROUP routines
I have so many so I won't rank them, just list them....
The season kicked off with some awesome routines...
Top 20 - Sonya Teyah
10 Girls - Sonya Teyah (Geisha Routine)
10 Guys - Christopher Scott (Velocity)
I much prefered the 2nd round during the finale!
Top 8 - Tyce Diorio (Circus Routine)
Top 16 Group B - Dee Caspary (Posion & Wine)
There are so many more - but I will leave you with that

Reality TV Updates - July 18, 2011
I am on reality tv overload and I love it.
Here are some thoughts from me on my current reality tv addictions.
Bachelorette
If you read my blog often you will know I am no fan of Ashely. I am, however, a fan of JP and for that reason, I hope they do not end up together. I am so evil right? Actually, it is rumoured he wins as they were allegedly spotted together, but who knows. He is 34 and she is 26, not that age matters but he had his heart broken by a young thang before and I just want to see more JP.... sand Ashley. To be honest, she prefers the young, quieter, long haired type anyways. I really was wondering why and how Constantine was still around, but after the home town dates tonight, I am glad he is. I also really started to love Ames tonight, I hope he is the other bachelor from this season to go onto Bachelor Pad, though it really doesn't seem like his scene... we will see. Ben, who I usually like was a bit of a bore for me tonight *yawn* I still think she picks JP but I am rooting for Ben, he reminds me of Trista's Ryan, the quieter, more romantic type. Ashley reminds me a lot of Trista too, except I loved Trista.
Masterchef
Christian's cockiness drives me nuts and I was glad his temper had him failing tonight. I actually really respected blondie for cooking with truffles instead of drinking champagne watching. Even though it was a risk, I think she did the right thing. I love watching this show, but the double whammy of it and Hell's Kitchen Tonight was a bit much. Not too much Gordon Ramsey (never) but I still have stitches in my mouth from wisdom teeth surgery and seeing all that good food when I am eating the equivilent on Big Brother "slop" just is not fair! Eeryn or whatever his name was went home tonight after an abyssmal attempt at cooking. He had a "bad day" and knew he was going home.
Hell's Kitchen
Welcome Back Chef Scott - If you read my blog when Hell's Kitchen was last on you will know I have a crush on Chef Scott. I have actually suggested to one of my besties that we go down and stalk him (yes, he appreciates the sexiness that is Chef Scott also) I think Elise will be ghetto-drama like Sabrina was last season. I already love some of the conflict. Jonathon is an early fave, but I have a thang for Southern boys LOL Brendon is cocky but it will be entertaining to watch him and Paul. The flirty girl and Elise will be itneresting. Krupa pulled out some good cooking, it was unexpected after her "signature dish" ha ha - signature dishes are always fun to watch... This year's winner will get a quarter of a million dollar salary and run BLT Steak in New York City... sweet! Also awesome this opener we got to see Nona - she looked great! Read more on HEll's Kitchen Opener here
SYTYCD Canada
TOnight was the Top 20 performance show. I really enjoyed most of the routines, though some fell flat. I am still rooting for Jordan Clark, she was a fave during auditions and is still holding true. Tonight she did a Jazz routine by Sean Cheesman that was absolutely stunning. Her and JOey were in synch and so perfect! I am still annoyed by Jean-Marc as a jduge and hate Leah Miller, some thing never change. I am loving the diverse choreographers, Danny Arbour even returned to choreo tonight! Read full details from tonight's performance show here.
SYTYCD USA
We get the all-stars starting this week. We are down to Top 10 and so instead of pairing together they pair with past all stars. I am excited about some of the returning dancers. See who is returning here. My faves currently are Melanie for females and Jess for males. But I loved Ryan and now she is gone - sad! I am overwhelmed by SYTYCD Canada and USA airing at the same time, it drives me nuts! But it drives my husband even MORE nuts - trust!
Love in the Wild
This is one of those reality shows you wonder why you started watching... like "I'm a celebrity get me out of here" remember? *sigh* I was glad to see Kym and Adam go home. He liked her, she ditched him for Steele, who ditched her. There are too many contestents from Scottsdale Az. ha ha Adam was cute but thug. Kym was stuck-up. I think the only couple that MAYBE stands a chance on this show is Heather & Miles... I think that's the pair it's all a blur!
Rivals
I loved Real World and Road Rules when I lived in Michigan in my early 20s, but never saw it here because we never had MTV in Canada. Now we do, ecause I am addicted to reality tv and pay extra for every channel that is available to me (trust, there are still some I can't get and it angers me beyond belief) annnnyways - I love this show because it has all the past guests teamed up with their enemies in challenges - epic! I love that Wes and Kenny are forced to be together and Wes is clearly pulling the two of them. I also lvoe their angst towards CT and hate that Mandi is into him. I like Evelyn she is one tough girl! I mainly watch for the plotting and cat fights to be honest...
Expedition Impossible
I am two episodes behind on my PVR - oops!
Big Brother
Save the best for last.
I have live feeds this summer so I pretty much never sleep or accomplish anything in my life. I am disappointed with the game play. Originally I was rooting for vets over newbies but liked Dom and Cassi as far as Newbs went. Now, I am appreciating Shelley's game play, and sad with which newbie is probably going home this week (I won't say because they haven't aired the nominations yet and I already know nominations, veto comp results and if it is used) if you care to know my opinion on everything Big Brother (live feed spoilers included) just scroll up or down my blog a few posts as I do tend to post regularily on the BB happenings. I also tweet #bb13 a lot!
COMING SOON
Bachelor Pad - August 8 starts! I can't wait!
Project Runway Season 9 - If I can get a channel that shows it here!
Canada's Got Talent - I don't watch USA one so unsure I will bother with this one.
Jersey Shore - Italy season should air soon and they are already filming the following season at seaside!
Anyways - that is it for now - add your comments below as I love to hear what other reality tv junkies think about the shows I also love :)

Reality TV Updates - July 7, 2011
Big Brother
Started tonight, epic! This will be a great season. See my Premiere play-by-play here
Master Chef
I am loving the attitudes emerging. I am not a fan of Suzy, she is way too cocky. Still miss Max. I am hoping for some more interesting challenges soon. We will see.
SYTYCD
Was shocked to see Ryan and Ricky in the bottom 3 couples, but was not shocked to see Ashley and Chris go home. My personal favourites are Ryan, Jess, Tadd, Melanie. It is still early, we shall see.
SYTYCD Canada
We got our Top 20 reveal this week. See results here. I am pretty excited about a few of these dancers, and a few I am indifferent about. We will see once they start performing. Learn more about each dancer here.
Hells Kitchen
Returns this month, I am so excited, I can't seem to get enough of Chef Ramsey, and he is really too nice on Masterchef.
Love in the Wild
I really love this show. I know it is silly, but it's fun. I was glad with who went home... no I can't think of their names, but surfer dude and plastic surgery stalker. I was sad to see some couples split but think that it will make the show more interesting since connections are being made and jealousy is going to kick in!
Bachelorette
I saw tabloids while in Seattle for the 4th of July... Emily Maynard is split from Brad Womack, big surprise, and she is likely the next Bachelorette... man oh man, they should bring Bentley on HA HA! Also read that Ashley was spotted with JP - not sure if this means he was chosen or not, I hope not, I like him too much to see him with HER! Also read that Ashley is heart broken when the final man ends up having a girlfriend back home? Just tabloid reads, who knows how true they are.
This Monday, after a week off for 4th of July, we will see another episode of the Bachelorette as well as an interview Chris Harrison does with Emily regarding her break up with Brad. Maybe we will get an announcement that she will be the next Bachelorette - seems odd to do two in a row, usually there are more Bachelor's - we shall see.
Bachelor Pad
Season 2 casting has started up but not without controversy... Craig Robinson was sexually harassed by a female producer and will no longer be on the show.
We also discovered who was cast for season 2, but with 3 missing names, since they were still on this season. We now know two of those men are William Holman and Blake Julian. I had hoped for those two along with JP - but as it stands he may have "won" Ashley - booo!
The Voice
Well, I predicted Javier would win and he did. I really loved Beverly, Bicci and Xenia though.... season 2 is already in the works, though the rumour mill was high about which judges will return. Christina Agulieria, no surprise, was the diva most uncertain to return... but apparently all 4 have resigned yay! I do enjoy the show. They are going on a mini tour this summer.
Jersey Shore
August 4th the 4th season (Italy) will premiere, but in the meantime, the 5th season is being filmed at seaside. The latest is that Vinny was home sick and left the show for good. Who knows! This show is a guilty pleasure. I mean Big Brother is my obsession but this show - I hate it but I can't not watch it - - grrrr.... I just hate how these people can be rich and famous - - - for being idiots!
Undercover Boss
I watched this a lot to start, then stopped. I watched the Johnny ROckets one last week or the week before and really loved it. I think I am more interested in the ones where I know the company, or it is an interesting aspect of the job to watch.
Expedition Impossible
I had planned to not watch this but I did, and it was ok. Very much like Amazing Race, which is fine, but I stopped watching that a couple season ago after years of devotion. Now, it is more a background show as I blog or fold laundry. Sad eh? Maybe I am just jealous I can't travel to these places... or perhaps I just can't connect with the contestents anymore... it always seems the same "type-cast" though that could be said of any show I suppose. I was glad the Latin Persuasion went home, they were annoying and dumb. The Mom's weren't a big surprise to leave either.
Any Shows I am Missing?

Reality TV Updates - June 2011
It's been a while, but there is a lot going on in reality tv world...
Bachelorette - Well the whole Bentley thing is just stupid. What is it with girls and going after bad boys. I swear I want to grab and SHAKE some of these Bachelorettes. It is even worse when they are past "contestents" and KNOW how the "game" works... Michelle told Ashley Bentley was there for his career... granted he didn't seem to push his career, but he did play his son like a card, publicly say he wished she was Emily and basically be a complete douche... yet stupid girl kept obsessing *sigh* played like a fiddle.
Tonight they boys fought each other in Thailand - Muay Thai though none are trained.... WTF? It was NO shock when Ames was sent to the hospital. What are the producers thinking?! Then poor old Ashley is all, "I care for them, I don't want to see them hurt" really? Did NOBODY think this was a bad idea? a dangerous idea? a potentially harmful idea?
I know three boys will be on Bachelor Pad - I would love to see more JP, William and Blake (if they don't make it to the end ... See my post here)
Big Brother - Starts Thursday July 7. I can't wait. No casting news or twist sharing yet... I can't wait - I really am considering getting live feed since it is on sale - then again, I rarely get time to sit online and watch and may not have time... BUT - it's cheap and I have a fairly lazy few weeks after I get my wisdom teeth out mid-july, so perhaps...
Master Chef - I really love this show. I think it's great to see home cooks from all walks of life come to the show and go through the challenges. I already have some faves. I am excited to see tonight's episode.
SYTYCD - Early faves include Ryan, Jess, and also Tadd, Missy, Melaniel Robert... gah - - - It's too early to tell how they will fair in all the types... but there are some great characters. Of course for the first round, no one was eliminated, which means four will be this week - stress!
In funny, somewhat related news, @dizzyfeet accidently tweeted his phone # thinking he was sending a DM to a friends... oops! Well, I called and got his humourous voicemail basically saying he would not be answering the phone anymore ha ha - changing his number - clearly!
SYTYCD Canada - Premiered tonight. I always love the flavour Canada's show brings. Though I hate when it airs at the same time as the USA one - it's just SO MUCH tv time - - Thank god for PVR!
The Voice - Best new show, I have to say. I am Team Adam.... He has a great team. I really love the banter between the coaches and the social media component... it's awesome to have the tweets going throughout the show.
America's Got Talent - I have to admit this and Biggest Loser are probably the only two reality shows I do not watch religiously... In fact, I maybe catch one or two a season and do not follow.
Bachelor Pad - I am so psyched this is returning. I really really loved the show last summer... take all the bachelor(ette) rejects and throw them in a house for money and "love" (ahem - sex) See who is cast here.
Expedition Impossible - Premieres after Wipeout on Thursday... I may or may not watch this. I feel a bit full as far as tv goes and I stopped watching Amazing Race a few seasons ago - so I feel like this will be very similar... we`ll see.
Love in the Wild - this I plan to watch. I don`t know why, I just like watching people fall in and out of love in wacky situations ha ha

Rob dancing - BTS Eclipse DVD gif
This makes me giggle.... I remember him on Leno with no rhythm as Travie McCoy performed... though I know he is musical it's still funny to see him "dance" ha ha

SYTYCD Canada 18 becomes 16 as two more dancers are sent home
My power rankings last night were pretty accurate once again, well two out of three is not bad.. certainly better than my first week’s epic fail ha ha….
Here is how tonight’s episode went:
Opening Number:
“Let Go” – Mitzi Gaynor
Mia Michaels
Sliding around, bright coloured suits, smoke sticks in their mouths, sharp movements and jumps mixes with slow groovy motions.
Judges:
Blake McGrath
Tre Amrstrong
Jean-Marc Genereux
Special Guest – Melissa Williams
Results:
Amanda and Denys – safe
Kloe and Jonathan – safe
Janick and Shavar – safe
Jera and Kirsten – dancing for their lives
Claudia and Edgar – dancing for their lives
Charlene and Jeff – safe
Nathalie and Mackenzie – safe
Julia and Jesse – dancing for their lives
Danielle and Sebastian – safe
Solo’s – Dancing for their life:
Females:
Kirsten – seemed nervous with a few wobbles but overall strong movement
Claudia – Again, I expect a lot from women’s ballroom solo and she didn’t quite bring it as much as I would have liked.
Julia – Had a more entertaining ballroom solo than Claudia in my opinion
Males:
Jera – very passionate he danced like he meant it
Edgar – I love his solo’s he is smooth and has swagga’
Jesse – he danced for his life… holy passion
Sent home:
-Julia
-Jera (not unanimous – Tre was in tears)
Thoughts:
I was shocked Jera went home. I thought Edgar would to be honest. Julia did not surprise me though I would have sent Claudia home, she is a one-trick pony in my opinion.
And now we are down to 16…
Thoughts?

Reality TV Update - August 30, 2010
I have missed a few updates, but I will try to catch up.
Bachelor Pad
I missed tonight's episode *gasp* But I did see Wes and Krissily go home. That is all I know. Krissily's last words were to break up Kovaks, Elizabeth, Kiptyn and Tenley - well duh! I want to know what I missed so feel free to comment with updates or details.
I did a full post on last week's episode.
SYTYCD Canada
I am loving some of this season's contestents and I do blog after every episode with Power Rankings and then Results. I also blog throughout the week at Pure SYTYCD.
Last Week Shelaina went home due to injury and Hanni for some stupid reason. This week two more will go home tomorrow night.
Here are my power rankings from tonight's show.
Master Chef
I am loving this show. I liked this week's trucker challenge and was shocked when red pulled in the win after such a rough start, I mean seriously? Blue Cheese? Whitney and Jake are my two top favourites.
Big Brother
Well I have spoilers so I will shuddup but this week is going to be VERY INTERESTING! I will leave it at that but if you want spoilers read HERE and HERE
Everyone I was rooting for is gone so now I don't care... I like Lane but he has money, Britney has girl power but she has annoyed me since day one, I love gay men but Ragan seems close to going home, I hate Enzo, so that leaves Hayden... or Lane.. or Brittney.. I dunno - I will wait til last two and then decide.
Dating in the Dark
This show is so bad it's good. I love that I can pick it up or drop it any time because each week si new people. It's a nice background show to accompany my blogging. They always have at least one total loser.
Jersey Shore
OMG The Situation is friggin too much - his "master plan" to put the hippo to bed and have two girls on one side of the house and two on the other - - AND IT WORKED!?!?!? Too much! I can't wait to see this week's the preview shows Sammie and JWOW having it out - I assume it comes out that she wrote the letter to Sammi about Ronnie's creepin' ha ha ha this show is so bad I can't help myself... though I do wanna shoot myself when I hear shit like The Situation will make $5mil this year - WTF? Yet, here I am supporting it by watching and talking about it BAD MANDY!
Real World New Orleans
I haven't watched this yet but my PVR needs me too fast...
Am I missing anything?
Oh, here are two reality tv stories that caught my eye today...
Snooki's boyfriend of one month proposes via tabloid magazine.
American Idol still without panel of judges.

Reality TV Updates - August 10, 2010
It's that time of year for season finales...
Hell's Kitchen
Tonight's finale was awesome! I was hoping Holliw ould win but predicted Jaywould. What a great surprise to see Holli walk through the winners door! She truly did grow the most and I think she will be very successful and give her son a good life overseas!
Master Chef
New fave show. Though tonight's episode made me want to barf... I can NOT handle eggs... ew! I eat them OCCASSIONALLY in small portions, cooked a particular way... but anything runny, gooey, eggy = pukey!
SYTYCD
Season finales this week. Robert will place 3rd I believe and Lauren and Kent will be a close one... I think little girls are in love with Kent and will vote more so I predict Kent wins and Laurens 2nd place, but either way they all did fabulous. I am more looking forward to the dances and season favourites...
SYTYCD Canada
Starts Sunday. I am back to guest blog on Pure SYTYCD Canada. Excited to see what this season brings.
Bachelor Pad
I am really excited about this. I posted details here. Hacing watched most seasons of both the Bachelor and the Bachelorette, this is exciting.
Last Comic Standing
The finale was this week and I was so happy Filipe won. I loved his big, burly stature and delivery of jokes. I was really glad the older jerk guy didn't make it in top 3... he annoyed me! I guess everyone has different senses of humour but sheesh! Anyhow, Loved Filipe and was rooting for him! Glad he won! On a different note, the judges performed and not well... wtf?
Next Food Star
I started watching late and so I am PVRing new and old episodes making it difficult to follow. I just enjoy the challeneges in these cooking shows because I am a horrible cook myself ha ha.
Big Brother
My most fave summer reality show escape. I am not happy with spoilers for this week. I don't know who goes home obvious as it will be live Thursday... but either way I am not happy.
Jersey Shore
Yes it's back, and apparently preparing to tape season 3 as season 2 airs - with yet ANOTHER pay raise... but it's my guilty pleasure... Snooki is a train wreck you can't help but stare and with Angeline back and the break up between Ronnie and Sammi, it is just too much - - - oh and aul D being himself and Situation - dood he is like the Jersey Grampa - he is way too old to behave how he does! I really love Vinnie - though the previews impy he may sleep with Snooki which is kinda gross... ha ha we shall see! How can you NOT be hooked on this horrible waste of time?
Dating in the Dark
I watched a few episodes in the first season and I really liked it. The first episode of season 2 is on my PVR and I will get to it.. since eachepisode is a new set ofpeople it's not a big deal if you miss a show or watch a few days later... but it's interesting to see how these people act and their opinions on people they can't see - then how/if it changes once they see what they look like... cracks me up how shallow some people are!
Am I missing anything?
am such a reality tv addict I know....

Step Up 3D
Went and saw Step Up 3D with the family tonight. Really enjoyed it.
To be clear, I went for the dancing and the 3D, not the plot or dialouge, both which were predictable and corny. But, I wasn't bothered by it because I anticipated it.
I went for, and thoroughly enjoyed, the dancing and the 3D effects which were off-the-hook!
Not jsut dancers popping out at you by lasers, lights, objects such as bubbles, icee drinks, balloons and shoe laces (stay for the credits) too fun!!
My daughter loved it and was bee bopping along to the music, the soundtrack is awesome!
I loved seeing so many familiar dancers from So You Think You Can Dance!
Twitch has a main role and I also saw Legacy, Lil C, Katee, Joshua, also Harry Shum Jr from Glee... was incredible to see all that talent in one movie and popping out at you in 3D!
Then there was Alyson Stoner who I remember as a little girl in Missy Elliot's music video and then in the first Step Up with my hottie Channing Tatum (who didn't even make a cameo in this 3rd one... boo hiss!) I can't believe how grown up she is!!!
Also from the 2nd Step Up is Adam Sevani, Moose, who is so likable and talented.
Sharni Vinson was good alongside RIck Malambri which to be honest, was a good replacement for Channing Tatum (though no one could beat Chan) Step Up 2s Robert Hoffman was hot, but not smoking like Chan and Rick.
Anyways, I enjoyed the dancing and 3d...despite predictable plot and corny dialouge...

SYTYCD Season 7 Top 3
Last night was the results show when 4 became 3... It was a good show, and was not all that shocking...
Top 4 Group Routine
Choreographer: Dee Caspary
Song: Florence + the Machine’s “The Drumming Song”
Loved the song, loved the choreo, the style - awesome!
Musical Performance: Janelle Monae
Enjoyed this though it was a bit strange to start.
The Solos:
Lauren - “Wasted Time”
Kent - Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” –
Adechike - “Sir” by Various Artists.
Robert - “Mr. Muscle” by Rusko.
Professional Performance:
Dancer: Desmond Richardson
Song: The Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy for the Devil”
Musical Performance: Flo Rida singing “Club Can’t Handle Me” – from the Step Up 3D Soundtrack
Loved the all stars dancing to this.
Adechike is eliminated to the goodbye song: Black Gold‘s “Shine” – from their album Rush.
I predicted he would go home, lets be honest, everyone did.... I think its between Lauren and Kent at this point... both rock.. and I do love Robert, but he will place 3rd I think.
