Texans will NOT want to miss this (I wish I could go down to participate!!!)

There will be an amazing Dauntless-themed event with zip-lining, combat training & knife throwing on March 13. Tickets for the event will be on sale on March 4.

We'll teach you all of the important Dauntless skills, from zip-lining to knife throwing to combat, and we'll even host a game of Capture the Flag. Your ticket to this event also includes a seat at the opening night screening of DIVERGENT at the Alamo Drafthouse on Slaughter Lane so you can celebrate your new badass status with Tris, Four and the rest of Dauntless' fiercest warriors.
It doesn't take an Erudite to figure out that this will be the best day ever, so make sure you choose Dauntless! Tickets for this event go on sale here on March 4th.
(And don't worry, we'll let you bypass the fear landscape. Tattoos, however, are always encouraged.)

More on Robert Pattinson at Crickets Bar & Grill in Lubbock

The Daily Toreador reports:

"Screaming girls, and guys, were crowded around the front door of Crickets Bar & Grill around 2 A.M Tuesday morning to get a glimpse of Twilight’s Robert Pattinson. Girls franticly fought their way to the front of the crowd, some with cardboard cutouts of the actor in tow, just to sneak a peek through the window.More...

Kevin McBride, the general manager at Cricket’s, said that Pattinson was just passing through with a couple of friends. While his friends enjoyed some karaoke and pool, Pattinson just tried to relax and keep to himself, he said.

“He was a real nice guy,” McBride said.

Although Cricket’s capacity is 253, they only let about 100 people stay in the building once Pattinson arrived, he said.

Roxane Fahim, a senior marketing and advertising major from Dallas, showed up to Cricket’s right when the superstar arrived. She said it was hard to tell if it was real or not, but once she sat down next to him, she realized it was Pattinson himself.

Although she didn’t get a chance to talk to him, she did hear him talking to his friends and people around him.

“You’d get kicked out if you tried to talk to him or take a picture with him,” she said.

Devoted Twilight fans Jessica Ramos and Angel Alavrado, both sophomore education majors from Lubbock, were waiting outside the back door of the bar to get a glimpse of Pattinson. They said they saw a picture on a teacher’s Facebook and preceded to call and confirm from that teacher Pattinson was really in Lubbock. Once they had verification, they were on their way to Crickets, Raymos said.

“We just took off,” Alvarado said. “We just grabbed our keys and left.”

While some wonder why a fan brought a Rob cut-out my question is why did these kids have their TEACHERS facebook? and why was that teacher posting real time photos of Rob at a bar? Around here teacher's don't have students on facebook, nor do they advertise that they are at a bar at 2am on a school night ha ha #justsayin

Set Report for Twilight Saga Eclipse: August 18

So yesterday a friend (@sarahlj13) let me know about a possible location for filming. There was definately filming happening there, but we had no idea if it was Eclipse.

Last night a friend (@erinbatt) went and snapped photos and reported what she saw.

Based on what I know of the location I was not convinced it would have been used for Eclipse, until I saw Lainey's report on yesterdays scenes:

Shooting began yesterday on Eclipse – am told exclusively that they filmed scenes involving “Jasper & Maria” in a dessert dream sequence that takes place in Texas from way back in the old days, like the 1800s. Jackson’s been training on horseback and so far they say he’s looking pretty comfortable. It’s the natural bow in his legs, non?

Horseback riding trail perhaps?

This made me quite certain the terrain and area of alleged filming COULD have worked well. So @erinbatt and I popped by this morning to look around and snap a few pics.

Some comparisons:

Possible Set used for Texas 1800s

Def. Possibility eh?

They had torn down most everything and we chatted with crew still tearing down. There were dark black screens (typically they are white and used for either blocking views or reflecting light)

I asked why they were black (perhaps it was too sunny yesterday and instead of reflecting light as the white ones do, they were absorb light?) and they told us they were not for lighting purposes at all but to block the paparzzi... wait.... how many movies are being filmed right now that would require paparzzi?

hmmmm....

Based on the location, the conversation, and the report from Lainey on what was filmed... I conclude that this location has SERIOUS potential for having hosted Twilight Saga Eclipse filming yesterday....

ta-da!

Thoughts?
