Overall I had a fantastic weekend.
I was able to more thoroughly enjoy the entire weekend than when I just went a couple days to The Official Twilight Convention in Seattle.
Additionally, it was nice seeing so many local fans who I talk to on twitter and email.
Next up is the L.A. Twilight Convention which will be extra special as it has appearandes from Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and many more cast members from Twilight Saga Eclipse.
I have already started to plan my trip out there and look forward to meeting many more fans who attend also.

Q&A with Jodelle Ferland at Vancouver Twilight Convention
What did she do between scenes?
We worked on thi 1000 piece puzzel that was really hard.
What was it like working on Supernatural?
She said it was fun. She had been nervous but everyone was really nice and she got autographed photos. She only had scenes with one of them but met them both. (Jared & Jensen)
What’s her fave store to shop at?
She loves shopping everywhere. She loves Aritzia and the mall. Stitches, Sirens, everywhere.
How did she feel when she got the part?
She was excited. She knows the main cast gets a lot of attention and she doesn’t expect that but she knew it was a great role and she is excited for the movie to come out. She doesn’t mind saying hi to fans.
Most Embarrassing Moment?
She has lot’s she would rather not share.
How are Twilight fans compared to other fans?
Twilight fans are super enthusiastic compared to other fans.
How was the outfit for Eclipse?
She loved being done up as a vampire. She especially liked the red contacts and seeing herself in the mirror. It wasn’t too much make-up to make her pale because she is really pale already.
How was it playing three characters in Silent Hill and did she have a favourite?
She loved the darker evil role most. She didn’t think it was difficult because she often does multiple projects at once so it was like working on three movies/characters/roles at once just in one movie.
Upcoming Projects?
She talked about "Everything's Coming up Rosie" where she plays an autistic girl. You can get a copy of the short film here.
How was the audition process?
She was so excited to get an audition for Eclipse. She got a call back and became even more excited. She did a 2nd audition at the call-back for David Slade and when she got the part, she was so excited.
If she could have any of the special vampire powers which would it be?
After a bit of thought she said Jasper’s because she would like to calm people down if the got mad at her.
How will her life change after Eclipse comes out?
She says it has already changed, she is here at the Twilight Convention. She expects she will be recognized more and travel more for promotion, which she is excited for.
How did Stephenie Meyer’s novella help with her role as Bree?
(This was the Question I submitted)
She said “oooh you guys will LOVE it” She said it was so exciting to learn first that it exsisted and then that she got to read it. She said it really helped her with her character of Bree because she had no back story for her and the novella really helped.
Fave Super hero?
She likes Iron man but mostly for Robert Downey Jr. She just got a t-shirt.
Does she prefer filming movies or television?
She likes them equally.
Fave costume ever?
She has had lot’s and had to think. She said she liked her stargate costume most because she started as a princess and by the end of the episode she was a queen and had a beautiful dress and tiara.
Which is her fave Twilight Book?
She has read them all and her fave is Breaking Dawn.
Would she rather be a wolf or a vampire?
There are pros and cons to each, but vampires don’t eat so she would probably be a wolf for that reason.
Hardest part about filming?
The weather. Rainy, Cold and a lot of outdoor shoots. They would all hide under the tarp to stay dry.
When did she start acting?
When she was about two.
She talked about how she has known Cameron Bright for a long time. He popped his head out to listen to what she said about him. It was cute.
Did she do any cool stunts in Eclipse?
She said she isn’t really allowed to say anything but she can say something so it seems like she is saying something but she isn’t.…. and then she said “It’s not a spoiler to say Bree surrenders at the end and it’s just really cool”
Any role she wish she had or a movie she would have liked to be in?
She said Harry Potter, even though she isn’t British she would loved to have been in that movie.
She said she loved meeting the Twilight cast because she had been a fan before she got the role and now was working with them.
Does anyone else in her family act?
Her brother and sister used to but she is the only one still doing it.
What’s on her ipod?
It broke. She did have Jason Mraz, Coldplay, Beatles and her friends band Behind Sapphire.
Fave muffin or baked good?
She has a lot of allergies. She is allergic to wheat.
What is her background?
She is not asian though a lot of people ask her that. She says she can’t recall exactly but she is mixed with a lot of things.
Celebrity Crush?
She doesn’t really have one but Johnny Depp is her fave actor.
Fave Fairy Tale?
They are all good but she loves the movie Enchanted
Where is she from?
Born in Naniamo (Vancouver Island, like Cam) and lives in Vancouver.
Fave Volturi?
“Alec of course” she says as she looks around to see if he is still there listening ha ha.
Who is her fave wolf pack?
Jacob of course.
Who has she enjoyed working with?
She said it was cool when she found out she would work with Matthew Broderick because she loved “Inspector Gadget”
Jodelle was adorable. She did a greaat job at her first Twilight Convention, I hope she does more. I can't wait to see her as Bree and to read The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella (Twilight Saga) out June 5.
Official Twilight Convention - Vancouver's Day 2 - Saturday
Hillywood opened again, they are such fantastic hosts. Even though “Bella” was sick, you couldn’t tell she was such a trooper.
Cameron Bright did his Q&A first. It was his first appearance at the convention and he did such a fantastic job. Something about Cameron Bright really appeals to fans. He is so down to earth and real. A true “island boy” (Vancouver Island) he is relaxed, casual, friendly and polite.
You can see photos and my summary of BOTH Cameron Bright's Q & A Here.
What I was looking forward to was Leslie Graham, a local make-up artist who worked on New Moon and Eclipse. I had interviewed her Friday night and learned even more during her Q & A.
I posted about both my interview and he Q & A Here. *Coming Soon*
Another first, Jodelle Ferland appeared for her Q & A. I must say she is so cute. She is young and talented but in person, so endearing.
Photos and Details on her appearance are posted here.
Twilight Lexicon did a panel on their experience at Oprah for the Eclipse Screening as well as how the taping went and what we didn’t see on television. It was awesome to hear all the details.
While Cameron Bright & Jodelle Ferland did autographs and photo sessions I whipped out for some lunch. The weekend is so action-packed I had to take a break and be sure to eat. When I returned there was more videos playing with exclusive footage.
A neat add-on at the convention was the private meet & greets. There were some available for individual cast (I met some girls who had an hour with Kiowa and Bronson) as well as a VIP Package some ladies had which got them intimate meet & greets with all appearing cast. How awesome eh?
Charlie Bewley had to cancel last minute because of filming but Daniel Cudmore came in his place and fans were thrilled to see him. Besides being absolutely tall, he is absolutely funny and undoubtedly sexy!
You can see more photos and a summary of his Q & A here. *Coming Soon*
Although all cast had autograph signing and photo opportunities, I only made it to one and it was with Cameron Bright, Jodelle Ferland and Cameron Bright in a group photo opportunity which to me sounded best anyway.
I posted the photo here.
I helped with the auction and saw some great deals with autographed glossy prints, merchandise, banners and other items going into various bidding wars. It was exciting and I got a Spartans Forks Wa Highschool Bookbag for helping - sweet deal!
That night I had planned a group dinner and invited anyone who wanted to come via twitter, my blog and in person at the convention. The ladies from Twilight Lexicon joined us as well as fans who were enjoying the convention. We had a great time talking about everything Twilight as well as crodd-over vampire loves such as Buffy. Afterwards, a group of us went to Chapters to pick up “Black Dagger Brotherhood” books.
Back at the hotel we prepared for the Volturi Ball and enjoyed a fantastic evening.
The Trivia winners had been made over with awesome make-up and hair and got to dance with the celebrities.
Hillywood hosted and did photo ops with everyone and taught us part of their dance from the New Moon Parody.
There were prizes for best centerpiece, best dancer, best costume, best dancer doing the Hillywood routine and just hundreds of dollars in cash prizes and merchandise gift certificates.
There were snacks, soda, water and a cash bar. Kiowa sang for us and danced in the crowd.
Everyone had a great time and looked absolutely fabulous. I got a few photos with the cast mates but I will just post this one because Daniel is so incredibly sexy...
If you want to see more My facebook Mandy S Mind has albums.
I was so tired after a long day I fell asleep quickly, anxious for Day 3 with Cameron Bright once again and Peter Facinelli.
I will post tomorrow on Day 3 of the Convention in Vancouver.
*Sorry for the "Coming Soon" part but I have 300+ photos and trying to get them all uploaded and posted takes more time and energy than I had today!*

Another Bree Still for Eclipse
THis looks like when she is being held by Volturi right before they kill her, when Dr Cullen pleads to let her live... just the desperation and confusion in her eyes, though I could be wrong. It is another new still of Bree from the Creation Website.

Here’s a bit of a retrospective of what various Twilight stars did over Easter courtesy of Twilight Lexicon.

Mandy's Mind - Booboo was also in Vancouver Saturday.

Eclipse Easter Egg from Eclipse's Jodelle Ferland aka Bree Tanner
Happy Easter!!!
Jodelle Ferland twitpict this awesome Easter Egg design she did.
Jodelle Ferland on Urban Rush
Ferland also talked about how the photograph of herself with the burnt ashes from the Bree Tanner novella came to be.
"After I read the story, we were supposed to destroy, get rid of it. But since we were filming on location, we didn’t have a shredder or anything . . . we could just burn it . . . It was really fun. We sent it to Stephenie.”
Ferland went on to talk about how even after she was cast for the picture she was not allowed to reveal the name of the character she was slated to portray, even despite the fact that most fans had already put two and two together about that piece of information.
Finally, Ferland discussed the possibility that the Bree Tanner story could become its own film, saying “That would be pretty amazing. I don’t know exactly what their plans are."

A New Book from Stephenie Meyer - The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner
Stephenie's Website says:
Surprise!
I have a new book coming out. It's called The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. Well, it's more of a novella than an actual book—my version of a short story.
Actually, this has been a surprise to me, too. The reason why it's a surprise was that I never intended to publish this story as a stand-alone book. I began this story a long time ago—before Twilight was even released. Back then I was just editing Eclipse, and in the thick of my vampire world. I was thinking a lot about the newborns, imagining their side of the story, and one thing led to another. I started writing from Bree's perspective about those final days, and what it was like to be a newborn.
This story was something that I worked on off and on for a while, just for fun, in between the times I was writing or editing other Twilight novels. Later, when the concept for The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide came up, I thought that might be a good place for Bree. Her story is a nice complement to Eclipse; it explains a lot of the things that Bella never knew. So I dusted it off and finished it up for placement in the Guide.
At the same time, it came in handy for the Eclipse film. Melissa (Rosenberg, the screenwriter) had a ton of questions about what exactly was going on in Seattle, how Victoria managed things, what Riley was like, etc. I let her read what I had then, and later gave the whole thing to the director, David Slade. David asked if Xavier, Bryce, and Jodelle (Riley, Victoria, and Bree) could read it as well, so all the parties involved would end up having a really strong foundation for their characters before the cameras started rolling. I was pleased that this side of the story would make it into the film and was looking forward to including it in the Guide.
(Keeping it confidential: Here is Jodelle next to the bucket of waterlogged ashes that were once the pages of her copy of the Bree manuscript.)
There was one thing I asked for: since this story had always been an extra for me, and was meant to be released with the Guide, I wanted to be able to offer it to my fans for free. You all have bought a ton of my books, and I wanted to give you this story as a gift. My publisher was awesome and embraced this idea. We still wanted to also produce a physical book with a cool cover (see below) that you can add to your set if you like, but starting at noon on June 7th until July 5th, it will also be available online at http://www.breetanner.com/.
One other aspect of this release is the plan to give a more important gift to people who really need it. One dollar of each book purchased in the US from the first printing will be donated to the American Red Cross for their relief efforts in Haiti and Chile and other parts of the world where people are in great need. We're going to have an option online as well, so you can choose to make a donation if you want when you read the story online. I hope you will. I think that we can really help a lot of people with this.
I really hope you all enjoy this story. I had a blast writing it. I'm glad that after all this time cooling her heels in my files, Bree finally gets her chance to shine.
Thanks for all the support,
Steph
----------------------------------------------------------
Side Note - I feel like this is a marketing test also... bare with me for a moment... sheis releasing it for free online... but also for sale if you want a copy... personally, I want a copy... but my thought process (and I over think things perhapxs too often) is that this marketing test will show how many fans will STILL buy the book when it's available online... and my theory is that if many still do purchase books despite their availability online, it shows Stephenie that even if things (such as an unfinished novel drafts for example lol) are released (unfinished or not, with permissionor not)... people will STILL want to buy them.... (in other words, Steph please finish Midnight Sun ha ha)

Jodelle Ferland in Wonderful World
You might remember her as "Jeliza-Rose" in Tideland and "Sharon" in Silent Hill. Of course, she's been in quite a few other pictures over the years as well, including Good Luck Chuck, The Messengers (with Kristen Stewart), and Seed.
One of her films, Wonderful World with Matthew Broderick and Sanaa Lathan, opens in theaters on January 8th, according to MTV, and a clip of Jodelle Ferland's performance as "Sandra" in the film has been uncovered by Twilight Lexicon.
The film follows the life of a "career proofreader" (hmm) as he files a frivolous lawsuit in a medical case. Ferland portrays the daughter of Broderick's character in the film.
(MTV Hates Canada and I can't view this... HOWEVER, they do let me view the commercial before the video - how kind of them.... gah)

This Week's Filming Summary
Studio shots included the Cullen House shots, Tent/Fight shots as well as the graduation party shots.
The outdoor shooting was more battle in the forest on private property.
David Slade tweeted Wednesday that it was "Last day on the battlefield, shot a huge day, tomorrow there may be a party, while battles ensue on mountain tops..." and then He also tweeted today that it was almost a wrap on Eclipse
On Wednesday Jodelle Ferland tweeted it was her last day, while Christian Serratos tweeted Thursday she was wrapped and Peter Facinelli tweeted tonight he was wrapped.
It is all coming to an end rather quickly isn't it?
I will miss doing my set reports, but will keep up with Twilight News, Post-Production Updates and Summaries and any other interesting Vancouver News.....
Few More Days till it is all wrapped.... wow!

Wednesday Set Report
Based on location and who was there - they were likely filming some more battle scenes.
Despite the rain, then sun, then fog, production started early and while some cast were off by mid-day, many stayed quite late.
I can't wait to see Eclipse... it was my favourite of the books and I am anxious to see David Slade's work on the big screen.
Jodelle tweeted today:
Last day on Eclipse....=/
While Anna Kendrick tweeted today:
On hold in Vancouver today. The Informant! A Serious Man. Where the Wild Things Are. All in all, not a bad day. Last day of shooting tmrw.
**EDIT - add-on**
Finally David Slade tweeted today:
Last day on the battlefield, shot a huge day, tomorrow there may be a party, while battles ensue on mountain tops...
It was, as I mentioned previously a long day for some cast.... I am guessing this "party" is the graduation party (the last scene Anna Kendrick has to film here in studio) while the other scene will include the tent battle scene they recently shot (perhaps follow up? reshoots? in studio again or elsewhere?)
**End Edit add-on**
It is true, it is all about to come to an end.
What an exciting ride it has been :)
