Offical Breaking Dawn Part 2 Camping Rules from Summit

Overview

Attention Twilight Fans, the World Premiere of The Twilight Saga finale, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2” is nearly upon us. In order to give all faithful fans a fair chance to take part in the festivities planned leading up to the premiere, Summit Entertainment is putting in place some new procedures for this year’s fan camping.

Due to the high demand to attend this year’s Fan Camp and the limited amount of space available,

FAN CAMP TICKETS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED THROUGH A RANDOM DRAWING OF ALL ELIGIBLE REGISTRATION SUBMISSIONS DURING THE REGISTRATION PERIOD.

The process to attend this year’s Fan Camp will happen in 4 phases:

Phase 1: Fan Camp Registration

Phase 2: Fan Camp Drawing

Phase 3: Fan Camp Ticket Notification

Phase 4: Fan Camp Check-in

There are approximately 1,200 Fan Camp tickets available in total. Each ticket is for one (1) spot at the Fan Camp. Fan Camp spots will be determined by a random drawing to be conducted after the Registration Period has closed. The winners of the drawing will be notified by email with instructions on how to pick up their tickets and when to report to Fan Camp for check-in.

This year all campers will be in the same Fan Camp area. Selection for a Fan Camp ticket does not guarantee eligibility for any other fan events, prizes or drawings. All special fan events and prizes will be determined by additional and separate random drawings.

Phase 1 – Fan Camp Registration

Fan Camp Registration will open at 12:00 PM PDT on Saturday, October 13, 2012 and will close at 12:00 PM PDT on Monday, October 15, 2012 (the “Registration Period”).

THE LINK TO THE FAN CAMP REGISTRATION SYSTEM WILL BE PUBLISHED ON THIS WEBSITE AT 12:00 PM PDT ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2012!

In order to register, fans must visit the registration page during the Registration Period and follow the instructions to fill out the registration form with the requested information, including, registration type. There will be 2 different types of registration:

1) Individual Registration – One (1) person registers for himself or herself only. The following information must be entered and must match the person’s ID when arriving at Fan Camp:

a. Full Name

b. Date of Birth

c. Email Address

d. Home Address

2) Group Registration – One (1) group manager registers for himself or herself and up to nine (9) guests (ten (10) people total). The following information must be entered for all members of the group including the group manager and all of the information listed for each member must match that member’s ID upon arrival:

a. Full Name

b. Date of Birth

c. Email Address

d. Home Address
Fan Camp Registration Rules

1. Fan Camp Registration will begin at 12:00 PM PDT on Saturday, October 13, 2012 and will end at 12:00 PM PDT on Tuesday, October 15, 2012 (the “Registration Period”). Registrations must be submitted during the Registration Period in order to be entered into the drawing.
2. Only one (1) entry per person will be accepted, regardless of which type of registration type is used. Only the first entry will be recognized and duplicate entries will be deleted, regardless of whether such duplicate entry is as an individual or as a member of a group. Names submitted during registration must match IDs. Registrants may be notified by email if we believe an entry is a duplication, in order to confirm eligibility.
3. Fans can register as a group at time of registration. All group members’ names must be submitted with the group applications. Groups will be limited to ten (10) members. If a group member has previously registered as an individual, that group member’s name will be removed from the group registration.

 

4. 1,200 spots are tentatively available at the Fan Camp. Camp spots will NOT be assigned as first come, first serve. Once registration has closed, we will conduct a random drawing of all registrations submitted during the Registration period in order to determine the 1,200 recipients of the Fan Camp spot tickets.

Phase 2 – Fan Camp Drawing

Following the close of registration at 12:00 PM PDT on Monday, October 15, 2012; all eligible registrations will be automatically entered into a random drawing system that will randomly assign Fan Camp tickets to registered individuals and groups.

Registered groups that are selected by the drawing will have their members ticketed together and assigned the same check-in time for Fan Camp.

Phase 3 – Fan Camp Ticket Notification

Registered individuals and groups that have been selected by the random drawing will be notified by email with their ticket details and assigned check-in times starting on or about Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Registrants that were not selected in the drawing will not be sent a notification.

If the email notification is returned as undeliverable, the ticket(s) will not be assigned to such registrant and an alternate registrant may be selected by random drawing.

Check-in times will be assigned and specified in the email notification.

Phase 4 – Fan Camp Check-in

The check-in times will begin at 8:00 AM PDT on Thursday, November 8. No lines will be recognized before this time and any ticketed guests that arrive before their assigned check-in time may be subject to disqualification from camping and may not be admitted into the Fan Camp.

Ticketed guests will be assigned one of the check-in time windows listed below. Ticketed guests must arrive during their designated check-in time.

8:00 AM PDT – 10:00 AM PDT: Group 1

10:00 AM PDT – 12:00 PM PDT: Group 2

12:00 PM PDT – 2:00 PM PDT: Group 3

2:00 PM PDT – 4:00 PM PDT: Group 4

4:00 PM PDT – 6:00 PM PDT: Group 5

Ticketed guests who do not arrive within their check-in time will forfeit their Fan Camp spot and the next registered guest/group in line will take such spot. In the event that that Fan Camp spots remain at the end of the entire check in, ticketed guests that failed to arrive within their check-in time may be given alternate Fan Camp spots if space permits. Only ticketed guests will be permitted into the Fan Camp, however, we reserve the right to admit non-registered guests at our discretion.

 

RULES OF CONDUCT

1. No lines will be recognized before 8:00 AM PDT on Thursday, November 8, 2012. Any guests that arrive before their assigned check-in time may be subject to disqualification from camping and may not be admitted into the Fan Camp.
2. Due to limited space, ONLY standard sized pop tents will be allowed (8'x8' [64 sq. ft.] or less). No oversized tents, staked tents, or other such tents will be allowed. Any guest that attempts to use a tent that does not meet these specifications may be removed from the premises.
3. ABSOLUTELY NO DRUGS, ALCOHOL OR WEAPONS allowed on premises.
4. No cooking or open flames are permitted in or around the Fan Camp.
5. No horseplay. If anyone dumps food or beverages on another camper, they may be subject to removal from the Fan Camp, NOKIA Plaza and/or LA Live.
6. No amplified music. All music devices must be used with headset or earphones.
7. Smoking is only allowed in designated areas OUTSIDE of the NOKIA Plaza boundaries.
8. Guests are responsible for their own property. Neither LA Live, AEG, nor Summit will be responsible for any lost or stolen items.

9. Everyone must keep their camp spot clean at all times. A fine will be enforced for anyone that litters on Nokia or Los Angeles City property.

10. Guests must only use the restrooms designated for guests and respect all businesses in the surrounding area.

11. Guests must follow the rules and directions of L.A. LIVE Management/Summit Security at all times.

12. We reserve the right to reassign camping spots at our discretion, for any reason whatsoever.

13. We reserve the right to modify these Rules of Conduct and the Fan Camp spot selection process/drawing at any time, in our sole discretion and it is the responsibility of each fan to periodically review the Rules of Conduct and other procedures for changes.

14. All guests understand and agree that LA LIVE, Summit and AEG have the right, at their sole discretion, to remove any guest from the Fan Camp, the LA Live premises or from any activity at any time and for any reason. Guests will be removed if such guest’s behavior at any point is uncooperative, disruptive, or may or does cause damage to person, property, or the reputation of the LA Live, Summit or AEG.

15. Any guest that is not eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of check-in must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

-Registration will open Saturday Oct. 13 12pm PST and close Monday Oct. 15 PST
-You can register as a group up to 10 people or individual - you can't do both or you will lose your spot entirely!
-All registration will be drawn like a lotto for spots, not first come first served.
-There will be a 4 phase registration including camp registration, camp name drawing, notification if drawn, check-in
-Registered people/groups will be emailed Tuesday Oct. 16, if your email bounces you lose your spot (check junk mail!)
-1200 spots available total, camping starts 8am Thursday Nov. 8 but you will have an arrival time based on your lotto draw # - if you try to form line early/you may lose any and all camp privileges! Also if you are late/miss call time you may lose your spot!

Mandy's Mind....

-Intro was good, from what we heard...Beat out the botox from Jimmy Kimmel was pretty funny!

Sound problems, which continued throughout the show annoying!

Some good jokes in the opening, politics of course... tee hee

-Jesse Tyler Ferguson's fiance is a lil' hottie, very Darren Criss-esque! Good job! And their bow ties are adorable, and on sale for a good cause, to raise money and awareness for marriage equality!!!

-Breaking Bad Show before cable was pretty funny. I still need to watch that show.

-Big Bang Theory clip on Sheldon's love for the Emmy's accountants was awesome... clever way to introduce the accountants ha ha...

-The "OMG Tracy Morgan passed on on stage" prank was actually pretty clever, I bet it trended... and boosted ratings at least briefly.... PS Love Connie and Hayden, can't WAIT to see Nashville... I am so excited for that show!!

-Jimmy Kimmel tribute to himself was funny, I know a lot of people don't like him but I think he is hilarious 90% of the time. When he first started his late night talk show I used to watch it all the time because he was pretty brutally honest, didn't give a shit about offending and now that I have also gone to his show in the audience, I can still say he is pretty awesome...

-I also liked that he had his parents escorted out "taze them if you have to" ha ha "you told me I could do anything I put my mind to... I didn't win an Emmy.

-Always feel sad at the in memoriam.... Besides a ton of composers, directors you wouldn't regcognize, there are a lot of amazingly talented people we lost this year, and every year it seems...

Davy Jones from the Monkees made me especially sad! Loved him!! Steve Jobs of course was a huge loss too! Whitney Houston feels like so long ago! Donna Summer, Tony Scott, Kathryn Joosten, and of course Dick Clark all terrible losses also... They all are of course, a lot of talent!

Comedy

- Modern Family, Eric stonestreet

-Jim Parsons and Zooey Dechanel present for Comedy - Louie, Louis C.K wins.

-Jon Cryer and Kat Dennings present for Comedy actress, was rooting for Mayim, surprised to see Nurse Jackie gal nominated, happily surprised! Modern Family, Julie Bowen won.

-Kathy Bates and Jimmy Fallon won guest spots and presented directing award. Modern Family, Steven Levitan won "I want to thank me, for hiring me as a director when no one else would" ha ha

-Surprised Jon Cryer (2 and a half men) won. I was hoping for Jim Parsons (Big Bang Theory) but Jon was surprised and legit not expecting it, and I kind of find that endearing. He has been through one helluvah year and deserves it - his character is hilarious!!!!!

-Stephen Colbert, hilarious, presented for comedy actress.... but not before discussing politics, "war on women" and praising women for being (mostly) wonderful ha ha, because vast majority are lovely... ha ha

-Julia Louis Drefus won for Veep, which I have never seen or heard of. I did like that she and Amy P did an "accidental" speech swap ha ha.

Reality....

-Damon Wayans Jr and James Van der Beek - what an odd combo to present...

-Competitions Program first. I stopped watching Amazing Race ans never get Project Runway so I was rooting for DWTS, Voice, SYTYCD or even Top Chef... Amazing Race won.. do I need to start watching this again?

-Seth McFarlane presented reality tv host... with no sound... except it was his fault he was the wrong mic... he used Stewie's voice "that is what happens when you skip rehersal... that's going to be on youtbe" bahahaha I love everything about Seth McFarlane... more so now that I have seen him in person at SDCC... his intro was awesome, youtube it for sure!! He built all the reality shows into one bit.

The winner was Tom Bergeron, DWTS, which shocked me... nominated the past 5 years and finally won. Against Betty White, Cat Deely, Amazing Race host and more... meh! He has annoyed me since America's Funniest Home Videos (which I can't believe is still even on tv!!)

Drama

-Aaron Paul won for supporting actor, Breaking Bad. I was hoping for Game of Thrones but they were all amazing.

-Homeland wins and Hayden reading the names sounded like she was not impressed... who knows...

-Nashville stars also present actress in drama... Maggie Smith Downtown Abbey, I love her!

-Boardwalk Empire wins for drama writing, I think, I missed who was presenting too, got caught up in helping kiddo with homework....

-Outstanding lead actor in drama had some amazing nominee's as always, I was hoping vor Michael C Hall (Dexter) or Buschemi (Boardwalk Empire) as those are the shows I watch and love. Jon Hamm has been nominated a lot and never won so people were rooting for him, but Damien Lewis (Homeland) won. Random...

-More awards during my dinner included Jon Stewart, Claire Danes,

Mini-Series

Lot's of great ones, American Horror Story, Sherlock, Page Eight, Luther, Hatfields and McCoys, Missing, Great Expectations, Hemingway and Gellhorn, and more...

-Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire) comes out to present, I love him... Supporting actress in miniseries or movie. American Horror Story Jessica Lange OF COURSE won... so deserving! She is going to be in season 2 as a different character apparently, such an amazing actress! Her speech was so eloquent as well - love her!

-Denis O'Hare was my pick for supporting actor, he is so amazing in AHS and True Blood. Seriously, awesomely odd. Tom Berenger won for Hatfiels and McCoys.

-Lucy Lui and Kiefer Sutherland present writing (Danny Strong, Game Change) who I remember as an actor in Buffy - wow!!! and best actress -Julianne Moore won (Game Change) also, I was rooting for Connie (AHS)

-Ginnifer Goodwin and Emily Van Camp present director and lead actor for miniseries. They are both amazing - can't wait for Revenge and OUAT to return!! Kevin Costner wins for Hatfields and McCoys, Game Change wins for directing.

-the overall win went to Game Change, which should have been clear based on their near sweep in other miniseries categories... still, AHS should've won - it was epic!

Big Ones

Drama Series - Julianne Moore presents. Homeland somehow beat out Boardwalk Empire, breaking bad, downtown abbey, game of thrones and mad men.... random.... the time it took to get everyone up there was lengthy...

Comedy Series - Michael J Fox presents. He gets a Standing O... I love him so much! I bawl just seeing him... he is amazing! 30 Rock, Big Bang, Curb your Enthusiasm, Girls, Modern GFamily and Veep are nominated. I am rooting for Big Bang Theory and sad to see Modern Family win... again... I love the show, don't get me wrong, but it is getting a vbit old, redundant, predictable non?

Overall

Not bad, some surprising wins and some shameful losses...

Premiere confirmed for Monday November 12 at Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live.

Catching Fire filming to start this week

Jennifer Lawrence was sporting her darker locks at TIFF while promoting Silver Linings Playbook. We saw Josh Hutcherson with blonde hair at the 3on3 basketball tournament a few weeks ago and it seems everyone is headed to Atlanta to start filming 'Catching Fire'

Hypable reports:

Lawrence confirmed to press that she is to start filming this Tuesday in Atlanta. In recent days her co-star Woody Harrelson, who’s also at TIFF, revealed that he’ll start shooting in about one week.

It seems like most of the cast has already arrived in Atlanta for filming. Other reliable reports scattered around the internet indicate that Jena Malone (Johanna), Philip Seymour Hoffman (Plutarch), Sam Claflin (Finnick), and Alan Ritchson (Gloss) are also in town for training and presumably filming.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will hit theaters November 22, 2013. Filming is largely expected to take place in Atlanta with Quarter Quell arena scenes being shot in Hawaii at the end of production.

Who is excited? I have a few friends in Atlanta area ready to report any happenings, I am tempted to head down myself, but real life has kept me quite busy at home. We shall see!
