David Slade to direct 'Matched'

Finally Matched has a director, and it is one familiar with directing teen novel turned movie, David Slade!

Disney’s adaptation of ‘Matched’ by Ally Condie has a director! ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ and ’30 Days of Night’ director David Slade has been set to direct the film version of the novel. The story takes place in a dystopian future where teenagers are ‘matched’ to their ideal mate in a special ceremony – so when Cassia is matched to her best friend Xander, she is over the moon. However, right before the screen fades to black she sees a flash of a different match – Ky Markham. The government tells her it was just a glitch, and to forget about it, but she can’t stop thinking about this mysterious boy she may or may not have at one point been matched with.

I posted about this adaptation recently and am thrilled to hear David Slade willl be taking it on!
