Carrie - the remake

Here is a great prediction and comparison for the original Carrie and the remake coming out soon: Kimmy at Page to Premiere writes a great comparison and prediction here.

I think she hits it right on. The original is just that, the original. It is epic and catures the raw emotion of the horror perfectly. I don't think it can be touched. To be honest, I feel that way about a lot of remakes, but especially horrors. The older versions may not have the special FX or CGI but the emotion is real.

Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) Mich Ado About Nothing

Who wants to go?

Opening Night Gala: Much Ado About Nothing

Start the Festival in style with the SIFF 2013 Opening Night Gala! The evening features the Seattle premiere of Much Ado About Nothing, with director Joss Whedon and cast members Alexis Denisof, Amy Acker, Nathan Fillion, and Clark Gregg scheduled to attend. After the film, celebrate with SIFF at our legendary gala party, featuring hors d'oeuvres, desserts, complimentary cocktails, and dancing!

Even though I have met Joss and Nathan before, I would love to meet them again and Amy Acker is amazing!! Plus Alexis Denisof is super cool, it's all my fave sci-fi tv starws from the 90s LOL.

The reasonably priced tickets are sold out, so I probably won't be going (sorry $225 gala event is a tad out of my price range) But i I am in Seattle that day (which I very well might be) I may check it out.

But, I will see the movie when it comes out...

Waiting for White Frog

I have been waiting for this movie since Booboo Stewart talked about it at the Twilight Convention in December 2011 in Orlando Florida. I have worked with autistic children a lot in the past and am interested in how this movie turns out.

High-school freshman, Nick (The Twilight Saga’s Booboo Stewart), is a neglected teen with mild Asperger’s syndrome whose life is challenged and ultimately changed forever when tragedy hits his family. WHITE FROG is a universal story of the power of family, friendship, and love positioned to appeal to a broad audience in the same way as ORDINARY PEOPLE and STAND BY ME.

Seriously, Booboo, Tyler Posey, Harry Shum Jr, BD Wong,  let's get this movie in theatres everywhere, now, please!
