SYTYCD Vegas Round....
All the music form tonight's episode is posted here.
181 dancers head to Vegas for finals week and to dance for the panel of judges who will determine this year's top dancers to compete in the live shows.
8 rounds to get through:
solos
hip hop
broadway
jazz
groups
ballroom
contemporary
final solos
The panel of judges tonight:
Mary Murphy
Debbie Allen
Lil' C
Adam Shankman
Tyce DiOrio
and of course Nigel Lythgoe
More...
First up.... Solo's:
Massive cuts planned if the solo's don't shine.
Hampton Williams (The Exorcist) - Dallas
He had the long standing O and strange moves. I love the way he has choppy, skeleton movements with such soft, soothing music. It brought me chills and many udges had tears in their eyes. Pure Passion but such a unique style, I wonder who it would translate in other styles.
After first 10 - they assessed....
Jennifer and Brianna were sent home. The rest stayed another round. (Including Hampton)
Janelle Isiss - Belly Dancer - Alabama
She had a very intricate costume and as the only belly dancer was sure to stand out. She is extrememly secxy and mixed traditional and contemporary moves into her belly dancing. Then male judges, even the gay ones loved her.
Rihanna's "Where have you been all my life" plays as we see more bits and pieces of dancing - we then learn 51 cuts were made, uncluding the martial arts cutie.
See all music here
First Round of Choreo - Hip Hop
Choreographers: Twitch & Comfort
I love seeing Comfort and Twitch again - they are amazing!
Besides the amount of hip hoppers, they all still pic it up pretty fast!
Hampton, Dragonhouse Crew - Andre, Boris, Sirus have not done other peoples choreo before.
Sadly, Hampton who has never been choreographed before tells the judges he can't do choreography and bows out of the competition.
Then one of the dragonhouse dancers bails, without saying goodbye.
Boris is sent home, that leaves only one from dragon house... Sirus.
He makes it through.
Praying Mantis and mommy Bree were also sent home. Both great dancers.
97 were remaining. Plus one more group of about 6 or 8... so just over 100 move on to day 2.
Day 2 - Broadway
Tyce is intense but a lot made it through. I love the idea of something crazy in the drinks and the characters going a lil' strange. It was a fun routine to watch.
The blonde ballroom gals perform in first group. They have been friends since they were 9 and are both hotties. They all move on from first performance group.
Alexa, who was cut last - last year performs... Adam tells her she is not bringing it and she needs to or she will be cut. She looks "dead" no emotion.... she is given another chance, but with warning.
23 more head home, mostly criticized for not bringing the character of broadway to the routine. Some upset, some angry, some bitter, some tears, some vows to never return (yuh-huh we shall see)
82 remain....
Jazz - Sonya Tayeh
Who doesn't love Sonya's choreo? She is amazing! Intense! But amazing!
Hip Hopper Shefiek gets upset and complains a lot. His partner Danielle, is the bacon loveer from Atlanta who has dreamed of dancing with Sonya but is being held back by her partner, grumpy Shefiek.
Also in this first group is the burlesque gal from Salt Lake City, Rachel.
After they perform Shefiek complains he messed up - Nigel gives him shit. He and Rachel are sent home. The rest stay. Shefiek swears and leaves in a grumpy state, walking barefoot downt he street saying he will n ever be back... Rachel fights to stay and surprisingly judges agree to let her dance for her life.
Many more are eliminated as Sonya's choreo proves too difficult for many dancers.
Danielle returns to partner with someone else and he kicks her in the head - he is sent home, she heads to the medic. They are concerned and take her away on a stretcher....
Emilia from NYC (the black and white scene gal) was up next along with dragonhouse Sirus who's partner is ballroom Lindsay Arnold.
Emilia is asked to dance for her life as the judges are split.
Lindsay makes it through.
Sirus is told to take contemporary classes, but he is through!
15 more are cut.
Dance for your life
Emilia and Rachel return.
Rachel - sticks to her burlesque routes but the judges do not wish to keep her. Debbie tells her that some see her as just sex and so taking the burlesque route only magnifies those feelings. She suggests she returns with more clothes and more dancing.
Emilia - Performed beautifully and Sonya was an easy yes. Nigel said no because he doesn't see how she can be so good now, but not bring it into other people's choreography. Everyone else says yes. She goes through and she promises to bring a different animal tomorrow and make everyone love her.
Group Routines - 10pm
They pick a piece of music at random and they have all night to practice and perform in the morning. They get to choose their own groups of 5-6 people.
This is always my favourite round because of all the drama that kicks in with lack of sleep and bubbling personalities. I am really upset we didn't get to see more drama from the night
Day 3 - Group Routines
Daniel (ballet dancer with an accent saying "belly dancer") Audrey, Danielle (who was injured the day before) only joined the group at midnight when she got back from the hospital. Some were more willing to add her than others.... Daniel doesn't want her in the group, to re-do the routine or to go to bed....
Judges think they are a hot mess. I agree. They weren't in synch, it was pretty bad! Nigel says they should all be sent home, yet, after the judges discuss, they decide Charlie and Danielle go home and the rest stay.
There are a lot more eliminations "epic fail" says Adam Shankman, "I'm sorry" they say "it's totally forgettable" says Debbie Allen to one group. A lot of dancers who make it through are still upset as their friends head home.
The Highschoolers were amazing, they "went to prom" and the one girl, Aubrey, dances with each man and it is stunning! They all go through!
There were a lot of great bits shown from various groups. I really would love to attend a live taping of group day - so fun!
dres, adrian, and alexa were in the next group. All have been in the finals in previous season being cut at the very end before live shows started. The routine was good, though there were a few criticisms. Tyce is no longer enamoured by Alexas beauty - he really puts her ont he spot asking what this all means to her, telling her to demand attention. Mary adds she needs to take them somewhere and show the fire. She is quiet, she says she has fire to show, but she is so blah, like even her voice is calm, quiet and emotionless until she starts crying.
They all make it through.
The celebrations continue with all the dancers at the pool.
Ballroom - Jason Gilkison
Cha Cha time... many dancers are noticably terrified!!
Sirus, with no formal training is pretty good. The last standing dragonhouse makes it through for dancing for your life...
Many more are cute with tears and good-byes.
Aubrey gets cut after an amazing group routine being compared to Mia Michaels. She takes it VERY rough. She complans she can't get through, she can't get work and now she is headed home.
Alexa makes it through, she brought her personality - finally!
Finally, Sirus dances for his life - as much camera time as this kid has got, I'd be surprised if he doesn't make it to the live show / Top 20 Especially with "The Excorsist" having quit.
Contemporary - Travis Wall
One hour to practice and we all know how intense Travis is... |technically I am looking for perfection... this is the last round" Dancers are exhausted and the routine is tough.
Nigel announces that they will not provide results until the end of the day. The dancing is beautiful, the choreo makes it amazing but so many dancers just embrace it and it's a pleasure to watch. The dancers compliment each other and at the end of the day Nigel calls a few dancers down to the stage.
Theya ll make it - some more have to re-dance the routine. Most of the re-do's do not make it.
Day 4
Joshua tries his new trick - a back flip, but he lands and doesn't get up. Medics take him away.
The solo's are amazing - out of this world. Still, there are a few that are let go despite being amazing dancers...
Trey, Dres, Adrian Lee, and some others are cut... sadly.
No girls were cut. I think this may have been because there were far more girls cut in a previous round and they wanted to keep it even.
regardless, the remaning dancers go part in a suite with balloons and snacks.
Season 9 will be exciting... next week we learn who makes it through to the Top 20.....
Check out all the music from tonight's episode here.

ANTM Winner
ANTM crowned Sophie Sumner, a 5' 9" 21-year-old from Oxford, England, its first-ever British winner.
"Yes, I did it! When my picture came up, I was like, 'What?!' My reaction was just like, 'Oh my God!' I never thought a Brit could win America's Next Top Model. I'm America's Next Top Model! I've been fighting for this for years and years and I've done it," Sophie laughed after her victory was announced during Wednesday night's finale broadcast of America's Next Top Model: British Invasion, the reality franchise's eighteenth edition which featured seven amateur American hopefuls battling seven all-stars and former Britain's Next Top Model contestants.

Mandy's Mind: I loved her from the start and was so thrilled she won! I wasn't a huge fan of Laura, she kind of reminded me of a drug addict or street whore... too judgey? She's on reality tv.... I am allowed!

DWTS

Ron Artest a.k.a. Metta World Peace and his partner Peta Murgatroyd were eliminated tonight after the first vote of the season left them in the bottom.
I am not shocked, he was really horrible! He also scored lowest last night.
I won't do a complete recap because my cable was in and out all night which meant to watch DWTS i had 5 clips on my PVR (DVR) for the show... so annoyed, but that's a different story!
I am impressed with Chyna, David, Chaz, JR while Carson was entertaining and fun. Kristin and Ricki did well also. Nancy did not. Rob surprised me.

Last Nights scores were as follows:
-Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani earned 22 points
-JR Martinez and Karina Smirnoff also scored 22 points
-Ricki Lake and Derek Hough scored 20 points
-Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas took 19 points
-Nancy Grace and Trisatn MacManus earned 16
-Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke also scored 16 points
-Elisabetta Canalis and Val Chmerkovski took away 15 points
-Ron Artest and Peta Murgatroyd came in last with just 14 points
I have a feeling I may skip Monday shows and just watch Tuesday's results, recaps etc. because there is far too much great tv on to waste two hours every Monday ;)

SYTYCD Canada Results Show
I wasn't entirely sure how it would look because of the individual voting, also, I was pretty tired from driving 5 hours in the rain on scary highways from Kamloops to Vancouver.
Moving on....
Here is tonight's results.
Top 10 Group Routine - Sabrina Matthews
"Heavy in Your Arms" - Florence + The Machine
This was awesome. They all looked nude, wrapped in tape. It was really well choreographed and danced. I will post it once I find it on youtube.
Female Results:
Lindsey - Safe
Denitsa - Not Safe
Yulia - Not Safe
Melissa - Not Safe *gasp*
Jordan - Safe
Male Results:
Christian - Not Safe
Shane - Safe
Francois - Not Safe
Adam - Not Safe
Matt - Safe
Solo's
Denitsa - "Born This Way" - Lady Gaga
She did very well, but she always does in her genre and her solo's, trust me as we have seen her "dance for her life" numerous times.
Yulia - Not sure the song
She had feathers all over her outfit, danced like a bird and looked kind of strange to me. ANother we have seen too often "dance for her life"
Melissa - "Swans" - Uncle Bob
Shocked to see her in the bottom, but Jordan was there once also. I thought it would be Lindsey or Jordan only because we needed a bottom three. Was nice to see her solo, such talent!
Christian - Not sure the song
Danced amazingly well as I imagined he would.
Francois - Not sure the song.
He danced well. I didn't expect him in the bottom based on last night but based on the whole season so far it didn't surprise me.
Matt - "Fix the World Up for you" - James Morrison
So great to watch, really talented and powerful dancer!
In the end it was Yulia & Francois who went home.
It is going to be tough next week as we get down to the best of the best, or Canada's most favourite!
Lindsey, Jordan, Melissa are so talented! Denitsa is also, but I think she is a one-trick show for the most part. I would LOVE Jordan to take it but I think Melissa may.
For the men, at this point, I feel bad saying that they all blur together still. I mean Shane is the clear front-runner for me, but Christian, Adam and Matt are all very talented, I would have a tough time putting one miles ahead of the others. I just feel Shane is amazing!
Who are your bets to take it all the way?
Side Note: It drives me NUTS when Leah Miller says "Why are you so..." last night she said it so many times.. "Why are you so good?" or "Why are you so in shape?" and "Why do you have to stop?" I can't stand her! She comes across so condescending! Between her and Jean-Marc I almost can't stand watching the show! I usually just watch the dances and maybe a guest judge or two, thank goodness for PVR (fast-forward the annoying parts)
Last Night Leah Miller:

Master Chef Finale
The show was two hours and opened with a mystery box challenge which brought the cooks full circle - - Chicken!
They had 60 minutes to prepare an entree that would wow the judges.
Christian
He created a Bacon wrapped chicken with French Onion Sauce and acorn squash. He had good taste but poor plating.
Adrien
He created a Briased Chicken thigh with acorn squah and asparagus on rice. He used herb oil and had a salsa verde. He was complimented on both plating and taste. His asparagus was cooked in rendered bacon fat which added a nice flavour according to the judges.
Jennifer
She also did a Bacon wrapped chicken with apples and jalepeno. She stuffed her chicken and although it was strong creatively, it feel short in some technique as the thigh was undercooked slightly.
The judges decided who was weakest, who won the challenge and then they moved onto the Pressure test....
Read on for results, recap and spoilers....
Jennifer's was the weakest according to the judges and Adrien won the challenge, giving him first pick of the three choices of ingredients in the Pressure Test.
Choice #1 - Veal
Choice #2 - Mushrooms
Choice #3 - Octopus
Adrien went on a limb and chose Octopus for himself. A risk that could make or break him given the difficulty of the ingredient.
Christian had second choice, ultimately choosing for Jennifer also. He chose veal, leaving Jennifer with mushrooms, which he hoped would be a challenge for her. Unfortunately for him, she grew up near mushroom capitol and is VERY familiar with the various types available for this challenge.
They had 10 minutes to gather ingredients only, 60 minutes to cook and then present to the judges. All previous contestents were brought back to the gallery to cheer the final three on.
Christian
Planned a complex veal dish that fell flat half way through and so he changed it up to be a simple veal, mashed potatoe and vegetable medley. He made themistake of serving bone-on veal atop the mashed potatoes, which led to an embarassing moment of Joe cutting it off the bone and replating it for him. He was complimented on good taste, even cooking of the veal but fairly simple dish.
Adrien
He created a pan seared octopus with saffron rice and watercress salad. It was beautifully plated and he was complimented on the flavour, technique and overall skill.
Jennifer
Took a huge risk creating a Mushroom and egg raviolo with mushroom ragu. She changed her pasta up part way through opting to do the ravioli and creating an egg yolk pasta where if cooked correctly would ooze over the dish and if cooked incorrectly would create a tasteless dish clearly under or over cooked.
In the end the judges chose Adrien and Jennifer to move onto the finals, leaving Christian utterly shocked!
Christian joined the gallery upstairs and we moved onto the second house of the two-hour finale with the final two ready to roll.
Jennifer and Adrien's families were brought in to cheer from the gallery and the challenge began.
Task:
2 hours to prepare an appetizer, entree and dessert.
Appetizer
Adrien - Spot Prawns Taquitos with avocado sauce and microgreens. He used jicama not tortilla's and it was described as a light but fresh flavour.
Jennifer - Seared callops and quail eggs with cream corn and pea puree. It was complimented for excellent cooking and taste.
Entree
Adrien - Beer Braised Short Ribs
Jennifer - Stuffed Quail with Jalepeno and chorizo.
Both entree's were complimented on amazing plating, taste and skill.
Dessert
Adrien - Chocolate Torte with blood orange, passion fruit and chipotle. Judges were disaapointed with it overall.
Jennifer - Pears and Apples in a wine sauce. Chef's liked flavour but thought it was too simple.
In the end the winner was announced......... Jennifer!
I was pretty shocked! I had been rooting for her and Adrien for a while now, especially after Ben left. I did not like Christian or Suzy but feared Christian may win or make the final two, despite his ego.
I am pretty happy with the results overall... it was a great season!
Are you happy with the results?
SYTYCD Canada Top 12 becomes 10 on Tonight's Results Show
Top 12 Routine
"Dirty Dancer" - Enrique Inglesias
Results....More...
Results:
Melissa & Adam - safe
Jordan & Francois - safe
Lindsay & Christian - in danger
Geisha & Joey - in danger
Denitsa & Matt - safe
Yulia & Shane - in danger
These reults were not too surprising, but I really thought Geisha and Joey did well last night.
Solo's
Lindsay
Jason Derulo - "Whatchya Say"
Amazing to see her dance her solo, stunning!
Geisha
Robyn - "Indestructible"
A regular in the solo's. She did well but not mind-blowing.
Yulia
Cherry poppin' Daddies - "Jump Jivin' & Wail"
Same as usual, great technique in her own style... not very good in anything else, always in the bottom and always saved by judges - Lame!
Christian
AfroJack - "Take Over Control"
Great to see in the solo's he is absolutely amazing to watch!
Joey
Michael Bublé - "Feelin' Good"
Fabulous dancer, amazing solo, I just adore him!
Shane
(Unknown which artist did this version) - "Stand By Me"
Really brought it in his solo, which was a surprise, I thought he would go based on the other two in the bottom.
I was shocked to see Geisha and Joey sent home. I knew Geisha or Yulia would leave, based on the number of times they have been in the bottom, but Joey? I am stunned! He is amazing!
So now we have our Top 10... Jordan is still a favourite but she is being outshined by Melissa as of late. Joey was my favourite male dancer and now that he is gone... I am sad!

BB13 Updates July 29
More...
Adam fell off first and opened a snowball to be awarded an elf suit. It is actually really cute on him - he looks like one of Santa's helpers! Ears, bells, a hat, it is funny!
Lawon fell off next and got a Have-Not Pass.
Brendon fell off next (yup! tee hee!) and got a Have-Not Pass.
Jeff fell off next and got $10k - woot!
Jordan fell off next and got a Have-Not Pass.
Porsche fell off next.
Shelly fell off next.
Then Kalia and Dani made a deal - a dumb deal.... Kalia will never win anything... Dani should have let Kalia win this one - because she doesn't know what next comp will be and NOW Dani can't compete in it...
Yes, Dani won HOH!
Got her HOH room - awwwwkwarddd! After the house fight, some of which was aired Thursday evening. It was lame seeing them all, not even TRY to seem interested in her HOH room - also Dani refused to read her letter from home out loud!
Anyways, Kalia was all up in Dani's grill - new besties... Lawon is parading around in the HOH Robe, the vets are debating how the throw down will go and Shelly is listening and floating around cleaning.
Jingle Bells - Adam's elf suit really is cute!
Anyways, today was nominations and Dani put up Brendan and Rachel.
Here is how I hope it plays out from here:
#1 Option - no veto used
#2 - if veto is used Rachel comes off, Brendan goes home (whichmay mean putting Jordan up since no one will vote her out?! Too risky?!?!)
I want Brendan gone because I predict there will be an America's vote to bring back a HG.
Noone wants Keith, Cassi would be fun but I think Dom leads the votes to return based on the three gone... however, if a vet or a likable person leaves this week - then Dom wouldn't be voted back in, the new likable vet would...
Jeff or Jordan - America loves and would vote in over Dom.
Rachel - America loves to hate and MAY vote back in over DOm
Brendan - no one likes and Dom would probably be voted in before he was
Lawon, Kalia, Porsche, Shelly - would also stay gone over Dom, but I don't think Dani would nominate any of them as replacements - who knows!
EXCITING!!
Brenchel is all dramatic - I may not see my fiance alll summmer wah wah wah
GAG
Not a Fan!
So that is what happened - what do you think????
I can't wait for Thursday's eviction and new HOH and TWIST!! I may be out of town so I will be anxious to see results!

SYTYCD Canada - Top 18 Results - now we have 16
The opening number
Last night Leah Miller was raving about the opening number tonight and I have to say, it was good, but she really over-sold it. There was tango, there was ribbon acrobatics in the air, it was very cool, but not jaw-dropping.
CTV describes it:
The choreographer of “Jersey Boys” and “Memphis,” Sergio Trujillo, created this incredibly dramatic Argentinean tango number that saw the dancers suspended and spinning from the red fabric.
For the music lovers it was from the Moulin Rouge Soundtrack:El Tango de Roxanne by Ewan McGregor , Jose Feliciano and Jacek Koman
Results
Geisha & Adam - no safe
Jordan & - safe
Shelaina & JP - safe
Francois & Yulia- not safe
Melissa & Joey - safe
Shane & Lindsey - safe
Denitsa & Matt - safe
Carlena & Kevin - safe
Teya & Boneless - not safe
I have to say, I was really unsure about my power rankings last night, but seems I was right on target - yay me!
Solo's
Geisha - Unknown song
She did well, nothing mind-blowing, in fact, I felt it was pretty average and she may be the one to go!
Yulia - Tuttie Frutti - Little Richard
She did well. She always does in her style, but I feel like doing well in your genre will only take you so far. After Leah said she looked nice and she said, "I made it" (referring to her dress) I don't know Yulia just rubs me the wrong way.
Teya - Party ROck Anthem - LMFAO
I actually liked her solo, it was old-school hip-hop, very cute, but not very complex. Super fun though!
Adam - Dancing Machine - Jackson 5 (I think, based on lyric search)
Lot's of rolls and flips. Overall entertaining.
Francois - Uknown Song
Like Yulia, he is very good in his style, but comes across a bit cocky in coversation and attitude.
Boneless - Teach me how to Dougie - Cali Swag District
Like Teya, very entertaining. He did popping and some fun moves.
In the end
Teya and Boneless went home. Judges said it was unanimous for Teya but not for Boneless. Carlena lost it, like shaking violently as she cried, when they announced Teya. Leah Miller said he whiney sympathetic goodbye.
Music for the "look back" video montage:
Life After you - Daughtrey
Now we are down to 16 dancers who will perform next Monday, August 1, 2011.

SYTYCD Canada Top 20 Results - Down to Top 18
But before that, the opening was an amazing Bollywood routine by Slubdog Miilionaire's choreographer, Longinus Fernandes. I have to say it was absolutely amazing. I will try to post a video for those of you who missed it or don't get CTV.
For now here is a rehersal photosm as CTV hasn't posted tonight's photos or details yet.
Then were the results...
Results:
Lindsay & Christian - safe
Geisha & Francois - safe
Jordan & Joey - safe
Carlena & Boneless - dance for your life
Yulia & Adam - safe
Denitsa & JP - dance for your life
Melissa & Shane - safe
Shelaine & Matt - safe
Lauren & Rodrigo - dance for your life
Teya & Kevin - safe
What a shock! When it came down to Teya and Kevin or Laurenand Rodrigo I thought for SURE Teya & Kevin would be dancing for their lives... wow!
Solo Music:
Carlena- Jessie J - "Do it like a dude"
Denitsa- (not sure?)
Lauren- (not sure?)
Boneless- "Yea 3x" - Chris Brown
JP- "See You in Everyone" - survivor
Rodrigo- "Hit the Lights" - Jay Sean (ft lil Wayne)
Then two were sent home... Lauren & Rodrigo.
The judges, Rex in particular, mentioned that Rodrigo being sent home was not unanimous, but was based on votes!
What did you think about the results??
It just shows how important voting is, it seems that the dance for your life did not make the decision for the males tonight, it was just who had the lowest votes - too bad!
More random Leah Miller dislike... The way she delivers the news....
"You are..."
-in the Top 18
-in danger
-dancing.. Next week
-dancing.. For Your Life
Its spoken too fast and monotone... Annoying! I get they are supposed to be suspenseful, but Leah doesn't pull it off. At least her outfit tonight didn't hurt my eyes :) A cute little black cocktail dress.

Master Chef Winner Whitney

Reality World wrote:
"I'm so excited and I just want to tell everybody that you know what, if you have a dream go after it. My dream the title of America's first MasterChef and I can not be any more happy than I am right now!" the perky 22-year-old college student from Poplarville, MS gushed after her victory.
"It's just indescribable! I don't even know how to explain how happy I am right now."
As MasterChef's first-season winner, Whitney will receive $250,000 and a cookbook publishing deal.
Whitney defeated David Miller, a 29-year-old software engineer from Newton Centre, MA, to win MasterChef's first-season title.

More...I am happy that my power rankings were correct this week.
Here is a Summary of Tonight’s Results Show:
Opening Number:
"Jai Ho" - Slumdog Millionaire
Longinus Fernandes
This was amazing! The colours, the moves, the synchornization, everything was absolutely stunning!
Judges:
Luther Brown
Tre Amrstrong
Jean-Marc Genereux
Special GUest - Mia Michaels
First 5 Couples out:
Charlene & Jeff - SAFE
Nathalie & Mackenzie - SAFE
Claudia & Yonni - Dancing for their lives
Kloe & Jonathan - SAFE
Julia & Jesse - SAFE
So far my Power Rankings were correct... let's see how the rest of the results go...
Next 5 couples out:
Kirsten & Jera - Dancing for their lives
Danielle & Sebastian - SAFE
Amanda & Denys - SAFE
Bree & Edgar - Dancing for their lives
Janick & Shavar - SAFE
After last week's horribly inaccurate Power Rankings, I am glad to see I was accurate this week.
Solo’s – Dancing for their life:
Males:
Yonni - sexy and great attitude
Jera - beautiful, acrobatic with lot's of spins a nice combo of his styles
Edgar - smooth but hard, great swagga
Females:
Claudia - Sexy but didn't bring as much as I would expect dancing for your life
Kirsten - beautiful movement she seemed really nervous and shakey
Bree - my favourite of the three ladies she used the whole stage high and low
Sent home:
-Hanni – not unanimous
-Shelaina – injury related.
Thoughts:
Bree danced the best solo but was weakest out of the three when looking at their entire body of work so far. I was shocked by Yonni the most, I thought Edgar would go home.
And now we have a Top 18, check back next Monday for power rankings and next Tuesday for results. We will also have other fun things posted throughout the week.

Big Brother 12 Spoilers August 12, 2010

For the third time this season we have an HoH competition extending after the live show on Big Brother 12. This is getting ridiculous, and CBS must really hate the viewers or they must be desperate for people to buy the live feeds.
">I don't have live feed but this site posted great spoilers:
And the winner is ...
BRENDON IS THE NEW HOH!
This wasn't even close, he demolished everybody. The smaller people were way back and even the other strong guys didn't put up much of a fight, because they didn't need to.
The hilarious part is that Brendon only thinks he just avenged Rachel's eviction and now gets to turn the house on its side. The truth is that Brendon will be able to do what the Brigade wants done: evict Ragan or Britney. Then next week's HoH competition will have all four Brigade members competing against Kathy and either Ragan or Britney.
Thanks to Matt's Diamond Power of Veto, even in the worst case scenario of two Brigade members being on the block, Matt can use it, save one, put up someone else and the Brigade has three votes to save their remaining member.
In other words, there is absolutely no way that anyone from the Brigade will be evicted this week.
However, we still need to go through an awkward week of Brendon as HoH where no one wants to go see his room or hang out with him. This began right away with Brendon gloating as if his victory is proof that he's superior to everyone and that Rachel's eviction has some meaning.
It didn't and Brendon just did the best thing possible for the Brigade. I love this alliance more and more every week, because even in defeat they win.

Reality TV Updates - August 10, 2010
Hell's Kitchen
Tonight's finale was awesome! I was hoping Holliw ould win but predicted Jaywould. What a great surprise to see Holli walk through the winners door! She truly did grow the most and I think she will be very successful and give her son a good life overseas!
Master Chef
New fave show. Though tonight's episode made me want to barf... I can NOT handle eggs... ew! I eat them OCCASSIONALLY in small portions, cooked a particular way... but anything runny, gooey, eggy = pukey!
SYTYCD
Season finales this week. Robert will place 3rd I believe and Lauren and Kent will be a close one... I think little girls are in love with Kent and will vote more so I predict Kent wins and Laurens 2nd place, but either way they all did fabulous. I am more looking forward to the dances and season favourites...
SYTYCD Canada
Starts Sunday. I am back to guest blog on Pure SYTYCD Canada. Excited to see what this season brings.
Bachelor Pad
I am really excited about this. I posted details here. Hacing watched most seasons of both the Bachelor and the Bachelorette, this is exciting.
Last Comic Standing
The finale was this week and I was so happy Filipe won. I loved his big, burly stature and delivery of jokes. I was really glad the older jerk guy didn't make it in top 3... he annoyed me! I guess everyone has different senses of humour but sheesh! Anyhow, Loved Filipe and was rooting for him! Glad he won! On a different note, the judges performed and not well... wtf?
Next Food Star
I started watching late and so I am PVRing new and old episodes making it difficult to follow. I just enjoy the challeneges in these cooking shows because I am a horrible cook myself ha ha.
Big Brother
My most fave summer reality show escape. I am not happy with spoilers for this week. I don't know who goes home obvious as it will be live Thursday... but either way I am not happy.
Jersey Shore
Yes it's back, and apparently preparing to tape season 3 as season 2 airs - with yet ANOTHER pay raise... but it's my guilty pleasure... Snooki is a train wreck you can't help but stare and with Angeline back and the break up between Ronnie and Sammi, it is just too much - - - oh and aul D being himself and Situation - dood he is like the Jersey Grampa - he is way too old to behave how he does! I really love Vinnie - though the previews impy he may sleep with Snooki which is kinda gross... ha ha we shall see! How can you NOT be hooked on this horrible waste of time?
Dating in the Dark
I watched a few episodes in the first season and I really liked it. The first episode of season 2 is on my PVR and I will get to it.. since eachepisode is a new set ofpeople it's not a big deal if you miss a show or watch a few days later... but it's interesting to see how these people act and their opinions on people they can't see - then how/if it changes once they see what they look like... cracks me up how shallow some people are!
Am I missing anything?
am such a reality tv addict I know....

Big Brother Spoilers for this upcoming week
If you do not want spoilers, go away - - if you DO - click More...
More...So Matt won HoH and of course puts up Rachel and Brendan. In POV It's Matt, Brendan, Rachel and the three names drawn are Brittney, Cathy, Enzo. Well, Britt won it and Cathy seemed THRILLED Brendan and Rachel didn't and Brittney CLAIMS she isn't going to use it - so we will see... Also, Matt had the Pandora's box and I guess he took it and TELLS the house guests he won $1 - - but he also unleashed a new Sabateur.... America voted for Ragen, so I am assuming he accepted, Pandora's Box released him and we will get more details on air.... Sad that Brachel will end soon - - - though I won't miss her friggin laugh (I assume she will go, though it is smarter to send Brendan he is the harder player to beat, though Rachel is straight up annoying...
Anyways, that is what has been going on n the big brother house and what wil air all this week.
Sunday, Wednesday and live eviction Thursday on CBS

SYTYCD Season 7 Top 3
Top 4 Group Routine
Choreographer: Dee Caspary
Song: Florence + the Machine’s “The Drumming Song”
Loved the song, loved the choreo, the style - awesome!
Musical Performance: Janelle Monae
Enjoyed this though it was a bit strange to start.
The Solos:
Lauren - “Wasted Time”
Kent - Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” –
Adechike - “Sir” by Various Artists.
Robert - “Mr. Muscle” by Rusko.
Professional Performance:
Dancer: Desmond Richardson
Song: The Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy for the Devil”
Musical Performance: Flo Rida singing “Club Can’t Handle Me” – from the Step Up 3D Soundtrack
Loved the all stars dancing to this.
Adechike is eliminated to the goodbye song: Black Gold‘s “Shine” – from their album Rush.
I predicted he would go home, lets be honest, everyone did.... I think its between Lauren and Kent at this point... both rock.. and I do love Robert, but he will place 3rd I think.
Big Brother 12 Spoilers
Last night's HoH competition was for endurance and that means it didn't air the winner but went on into the evening and will reveal the winner next episode (Tuesday)
SO Kathy was out first and she is the ONLY Have-Not this wee - poor gal. I really wish someone would tell her that Brittney, Hayden, Kristen and everyone were going to replace Kristen with her and send her home...
Anyhow the new HoH is Matt - again.... I predict he will put up Rachel and Brenden, then Branden will win Veto and take himself off and then Cathy will go up and hopefully go home?
THough Matt may switch it up and back door Brendon - we will see.

Jeff Probst Blogs about Survivor Finale - "Nobody outplayed Russell"

Okay, now that the show is officially over I’m going to take off my hosting and producing hat and just give you my personal reaction to what went down last night.
I think Russell was the victim of a jury of bitter people. I am not taking anything away from Natalie, she clearly did a great job of reading the group dynamic of the jury and as a result she deserves the money.
Oftentimes on Survivor, the vote does come down to a choice where a determining factor is “how nice someone is” but that’s usually when all other criteria being considered is equal. That doesn’t hold up this season. This season was so lopsided in terms of one person (Russell) completely dominating the game that to not give him the money and the title is a bit silly.
If I were playing Survivor, no matter how much I despised someone, if they kicked my ass in the game I would give it to them. Period. Outwit. Outplay. Nobody outwitted or outplayed Russell. Not even close.
I was a bit surprised at Erik’s nod to Natalie during the final tribal council. I think he certainly helped Natalie and definitely hurt Russell. I also think that when Erik watches this season again in a few years he will regret not giving his vote to Russell. Erik is the kind of guy who I thought would respect a player like Russell. I think Erik was still smarting from the whole Galu disaster.
I do not believe the jury voted for Natalie, I believe the jury voted against Russell.
Russell was clearly upset last night and I think a lot of people understand why that would be. He played a very risky and creative game and he wanted to be acknowledged. As for the audience, they spoke quite loudly when they awarded him the $100,000 from Sprint by an overwhelming 46% Russell to 10% Shambo… and 7% Natalie. Not even close. I put myself in that same group. Again, I’m speaking as a fan, not as a host or a producer.
But hey this is how it goes, it’s why Survivor is so fun to watch, you can never predict the outcome. So…
A FEW QUESTIONS…
Q. Can you be considered the greatest player ever if you don’t win? Hmmm. It’s a tough question for me. On one hand, it’s a no-brainer, absolutely not. Survivor is a social game and to win you have to vote people out in a way that compels them to return and vote for you to win the game. It’s extremely complicated and Russell did not achieve it, therefore he cannot be considered the greatest player to ever play. On the other hand, I can’t think of anybody who has ever played a game like Russell played. It was so dominating that I am still shaking my head that he didn’t win. The only guy I could even see having the talent and guts to do something equally dominating would be Boston Rob. So I am on the fence on this one. But this much I am certain of – Russell is without any question ONE of the greats. No doubt about it.
Q. Did Natalie play a better game than Russell? For me, that’s a bit easier to answer. I do not think that Natalie played a better game, but rather was the right person in the right position who made one very good strategic move and that was to stay out of Russell’s way, and as a result she ended up with the money. But to be fair – a very good counter argument is that Natalie used her strengths, avoided her weaknesses and by taking this active approach to the game, she put herself in position to win the money and it paid off. It’s a counter argument, but not one that I’m that fond of supporting.
Q. Was this a great season or a lame season? For me, this is another easy question. Survivor: Samoa will rank as one of my favorite seasons and for one reason: Russell Hantz. He single handedly kept this show interesting week after week after week. But I know some will argue that because it was “The Russell Season” it lacked having more big characters and therefore does not rank as high. This is one that will be debated by Survivor fans for years to come.
LIFE GOES ON AND SO DOES SURVIVOR
I hope you’re all jazzed about Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains. I think you are going to really enjoy it! We have an all-star cast returning. A lot of people you will expect and want to see and a couple of surprise choices that may leave you scratching your head, which we love, by the way.
