FORKS 2011 - Let the Recovery Begin

I have to say that this recovery may take longer than usual.

It isn't just the hangover that lingers, nor the aches and pains from beautiful hikes and my sweet dance moves.... no, this recovery is deeper than that.... it is that small piece of my heart that breaks leaving that amazing place and more importantly, the amazing people!

Last year I only stayed one night and the connections I made were incredible... This year, I stayed two night and had the most amazing time. The memories and friendships will last....

Where do I begin....

The drive and ferry trip was beautiful! The sun was shining, my music blaring and I enjoyed the trip, even though I was missing @Lorabell who joined me last year.

I arrived Friday in Port Angeles for Bella Italia with some of the group.

Then it was off to Forks where I quickly changed and we went to the Elk's Lodge where the Twitarded Party was getting started.

My roomies were @red_bella @defenderofmice @starlitviolets and we had a blast..... our room was HUGE... it was a suite with two beds in the room, another bed in the living room and a full kitchen and bathroom.

It was a rather tame first night after a long day of travel and a busy Saturday ahead of me, but we visited, danced, giggled and caught up with old and new friends.

Despite my lack of social skills that evening, I did get to chat with @17foreverlisa - love that girl!

There was a photo op station and I let Eddie wear my Canadian beads to show his support.

Karaoke was in full swing and I have to say that there were some awesome singers... regardless of the skill level we had a blast singing and dancing the evening away.

There are more pics of this "Bloward" doll... he has a peen... and it came out.. a lot... I posted those pics on FB (Mandy S Mind)

There was corn on the cob and salad and pasta and other great food, but I had eaten at Bella Italia so I didn't get any... I heard it was delicious though!

I missed the shuttle home and got a ride with @Trixieandtess @allthingsHHH and @JiffSimpson who were heading to the bar.

I was sad to be so tired that night because it meant I didn't go to the bar to socialize more, I didn't really talk to many people that night and sadly some people were leaving... in particlar @misstejota but the good news is I did get a quick visit with her, got her the abduction t-shirt she won on my blog AND arrange BD tix for NYC this November... score!

When i got to the room I was exhausted and it didn't take long for me to crash - hard!

Saturday I planned to sleep in, but my body wouldn't allow it. I woke up and we went for breakfast. Here are my fabulous roomies:

Then we drove out to the Hoh rainforest (yes... the "ho" ) where we took the "Hall of Mosses" trail... absolutely stunning!

Again, I have many more photos of trees and moss and the beautiful trails on my FB album

After that @red_bella and @defenderofmice went shopping while I trained @starlitviolets on the art of jello shot making (she aced it by the way!)

then I went to do a bit of shopping before the Twilight Tour with Travis. Let me just say, last year we did the drive on your own tour, which was cool.... but Travis is so hilarious and informative... I highly recommend paying the money to take his tour! His humour and knowledge was so great. He had theme music, random Forks and Twilight facts, trivia, jokes, and even Quileute words.

I took a ton of photos on the tour here are a few...

I could do a whole blog JUST on the tour (maybe I will) but trust it was great fun and well worth the trip!

Forks 2010 Photo (with forks) on my phone...

I had a water bottle with me for the tour... only it wasn't water, it was Bacardi Strawberry Daquiri and I drank it all... so after the tour when i stumbled back to our room I was feeling pretty tipsy!

I was anxious to see if jello shots were ready.... they had been ready... and had been consumed... and had been ditributed door2door at the motel.... This made me sad because there was only one peach jello shot left... my fave flavour *gasp*

To be fair, I didn't ask them to save them for me, but that was because I didn't think they would be ready before I got back... ah well.. I gave @Starlitviolets shit... and plenty of it ha ha!

After far too many jello shots we shuttled to the Elk's for round 2 Twitarded Party... pizza, nacho-bar, salad, we snacked and danced and mingled and... drank.... a lot....

What was most awesome was that everyone got a string of tickets for prize draws (which when dropped on the floor apparently resembled a red snake.... ready to attack *ahem* anyways..) the amount of donation of prizes was epic.... unfortunately that meant we spent a shitton of time drawing prize winners... instead of dancing.... c'est la vie!

I am not complaining, I won a ton of cool stuff.. the trick was to put your tickets in the Jacob stuff because hardly anyone wanted that stuff tee hee... well a few of us did!

I won a diary tin box, the jacob barbie (which I really wanted for my daughter), mascara (which I didn't even realize I entered to win make-up), then @mama_cougar had to leave, and everyone else who left had given her their tickets so she passed them onto me and I got some comics (which I may use as a giveaway in the future)

Anyhow, after what seemed like hours of giveaways it was time to clean up.... @Starlitviolet is so sweet she collected all the helium filled balloons....

then....

SHE POPPED THEM!

@alltwiedup has a great photo of my reaction to this horrifying occurence... Posted the photos from @alltwiedup... I wanted to bring them all in the shuttle home to our room... what a party that would have been... oh wait.. it was a party.. but I will get to that ;)

Anyways, @alltwiedup and I sucked some helium and talked dirty about beanie Rob... tee hee

Thanks @alltwiedup for these pics

I hopped on a shuttle and was educated on the fact that FSE is not an STD, but in fact an abbrieviation for "Full-Size-Edward" (almost lost my e-card for that epic fail - thanks @lindsayrae114)

Went to the room where I popped @ChloeCougar and @LoriAnnTwiFan jello-shot-cherry

Slowly more people arrived by shuttle and/or from their own rooms to our room. Since it was a Suite, and at the end, and had a fridge of jello shots... it became the go-to party spot and we had people coming and going all night... such fun! the majority of those photos I can't post... we were all intoxicated and there are some not-so-flattering-drunk-pics as well as some awfully-drunk-or-i-wouldn't-be-doing-this pics and the internet is simply not the place for some of those photos ha ha. Oh and @norcaltwitard said she would kick my ass if I posted some... ha ha

Speaking of... she @amandakmelby and me did some loving walkie-talkie style messages to @twikiwi50 Needless to say there was a lot of alcohol consumed and laughs had... It was awesome getting to know more people better and enjoy the last night.

My drink of choice was Orange Soda with Whipped Vodka, though I ended the night with Orange soda and cake vodka... ha ha...

By the time everyone left it was just after 4am and we slowly crawled into our beds to crash...

This morning I woke up hungover still drunk.... so I had some water and went back to sleep... the second wake up was not much better, but I had a shower and packed up then we went for breakfast before saying our good-byes.

There were tears and hugs and love all around as people left... such bonds formed amongst all the ladies... I drove home my mind full and heart heavy after such an amazing experience over the weekend.

No words can describe how AMAZING some of these women are... I only wish they all knew how absolutely beautiful they are inside and out....

So as Forks 2011 comes to an end (though some lucky ladies are still there a day or two more) the recovery begins... while the hangover and exhaustion will probably fade first, my full mind and heavy heart will last... I FLOVE THESE BITCHES!

MSN apologizes to Quileute Tribe for Video

LAPUSH -- MSN.com is set to offer a public apology to the Quileute tribe today for a video shot on Stephenie Meyer Weekend in September that showed unapproved filming on the reservation -- including scenes of the cemetery and graves, said tribal spokeswoman Jackie Jacobs.

Jacobs said she was first alerted to the video on Nov. 12 -- just two days before she and tribal council members left for the Los Angeles premiere of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."

"It was such a bittersweet trip because I found out just two days before, and I knew I would be going to this huge celebration and would have to sit down and tell the council about it," Jacobs said.

"I couldn't really reiterate verbally or adequately convey what those images were like."

The film crew shot images of the Tribal Council building, totem poles, First Beach, the Senior Center and the Quileute Cemetery.

The film was set to dark music -- described by Jacobs as "macabre" -- and was filmed in an amateur documentary style.

Grave of chief

Repeatedly zooming in and out on a grave of a Quileute tribal chief -- who Jacobs did not name -- also added to the dark, suspenseful nature of the short film.

"As a native woman, I was astounded and sick to my stomach -- especially knowing I was the person who would have to tell the family about this," Jacobs said.

When Jacobs spoke with MSN on Nov. 12, it took the video down within minutes, she said.

Jacobs said the filmmakers had contacted the Forks Chamber of Commerce for permission to film points of interest for a virtual Twilight tour.

Meyer is the author of the Twilight series; she was not associated with the MSN project.

She said no one at the tribe was contacted for permission to film on the reservation.

"Anyone who is conducting business on our sovereign nation should go through the proper channels," she said.

Her contact information as well as the tribal numbers appear on the Web sitehttp://www.quileutenation.org/, she said.

Pain and suffering

"This situation has caused an enormous amount of pain and suffering to the Quileute Nation as a whole, but especially to the descendants of the Quileute chief," she said.

"An apology will never erase that hurt.

"Besides heartbreak, I was in shock and perplexed that an organization that presents itself as culturally sensitive and aware to indigenous people's plights all over the world could make such an egregious choice in their own backyards."

Jacobs said the tribe plans to work with MSN, which will produce a series of educational videos that the tribe can use to teach about its culture.

"We need to use the situation as an educational opportunity to teach the world how to conduct themselves when visiting a sovereign nation," said Carol Hatch, Quileute tribal chairwoman.

Among the etiquette guidelines the tribe posted on its site http://www.quileutenation.org/indian-country-etiquette is: "Burial grounds and religious ceremonies are sacred and are not to be entered."

"You can't really erase these situations," Jacobs said.

"But you can utilize it as an educational platform."

If you read the leaked script..... *SPOILERS OTHERWISE*

So my inbox received a nice gift yesterday that was the alleged leaked script of Twilight Saga Eclipse.

I did not read the New Moon script when it circulated, then again, I had Eclipse coming to town to film and entertain me.

Now, however, there is no news of Breaking Dawn public yet, no new information on anything Twilight, so this script was timed just perfectly... almost too perfectly don't you think? ;)

I do not have a link to the script, I advise people NOT to try and download from a link - there are many people out there who are truly Malicious (and not just using it as a nickname ;) tee hee)

You could end up with a vampire virus and/or get into trouble for downloading.... though I think enough people have copies circulating if you wanted it I am certain you could just ask someone to email it to you.

Ok, enough about that - on with the details...

There are 114 pages of the July version script.

When I list page #s below, it's based on the .pdf page # [if you don't have 114 page version - last page is blank anyways it may be a page ahead/behind from what I list]

Filming started August 17 and so there may be some minor changes from script to movie, plus of course FX, cgi, actors impromptu parts, ad lib and camera angles will make the movie - but for the most part I believe this script to be legit and accurate.

**All links in this post will take you to other photos and posts of mine from previous months when there was live filming here in Vancouver. Enjoy!

Here are some reasons why I think this script is legit:

Opening Scene - Riley in an alley being chased by a shadow after leaving a bar. (p. 2)

This was filmed in three locations in Vancouver. The locations filmed at locally suit the script description perfectly (down to the cobblestone and alleyways) and rumour around the set during filming was that it was going to be the opener, this is completely unlike the book so therefore seems accurate in this script.

Under the bridge - Riley and Victoria under the bridge kissing. (p. 71)

There were photos of them kissing. In the script this is exactly the same and it differs from the book also so it seems legit.

While filming:

PunkD Images Photo from Lainey Gossip:

My Photo the next day:

Upside down Car in "Seattle" - There was an upside down car, a fire and newborns going crazy as Volturi look on. (p. 55)

We saw the upside down car, fire and other fans photos on the scene of Dakota Fanning and Charlie Bewley at their dressing rooms. We deduced that it was a Seattle scene where newborns go nuts and Volturi observe. These very specific details are different from the book but seen in this script. They play out well in a movie as it's a very visual cue to the audience that the Volturi know what's going on now and aren't happy.

Set:

Upside Down Car:

Future Life with Jacob - Bella imagines a future if she chooses Jacob. (p. 95)

We saw the changes to the Swan house and props that included a rocking chair and children's toys. A neighbour reported there were children playing and filmed at the house. There was also the tweet about Charlie in old man make-up (A tweet quickly removed and then covered up as a "joke" between Billy Burke and David Slade) Fans are smarter than that and We guessed it had to do with Bella imagining having kids... perhaps a future life if she chose Jacob or how she couldn't have kids as a vampire.... The script proves this "life with Jacob fantasy" is indeed correct.

Back-Story Jasper - Jasper's History of becoming a Vampire and his experience with newborn armies. (p. 67-69)

The script clearly addresses this as Jasper tells Bella about his past. Casting information told us also that this was going to happen (Kristen Prout as Lucy and Catalina Sandino Moreno as Maria.) We also knew he'd been filmed on horseback (the first day of shooting actually)as well as the interior of a barn, which is exactly what we saw and predicted was filming (Jasper's back story) though we weren't sure details of what in his past was shot, the script shows Jasper following orders from Maria, terrible orders (killing the boy newborn).

Barn Set:

Back-Story Rosalie - Rosalie's backstory and how she became a vampire. (p. 51)

Again, thanks to casting announcements we knew Jack Huston had been cast as Royce King II and therefore there would be Rosalie's backstory. The script discusses her desire to have children and the perfect life as human and also her attack from Royce and friends before becoming a vampire. We saw filming of Nikki Reed in high-class old fashion and the very jacket and brass buttons the script mentions.

Arrival of New Borns - The newborns led by Riley, emerge from the water. (p. 86)

This is not in the book but is in the script and there are photos in my blog from this scene being shot. The new borns all come out of the water and Bree is with them. Also when I met Xavier Samuel I asked him "was that you in the water the other day? Someone was trying to say it was a double" he told me it was indeed him in the water.

Trip to Florida - Bella and her mom talking in Florida. (p. 13)

In the book I believe she and her mom walk along the beach talking. The script however says they sit in lounge chairs in a bungalow, which is exactly what the photos show from filming. This continues to show this script and it's fine details match what we saw live in Vancouver, even the slight differences from the book.

Forks Police Station - Edward and Bella visit Chief Swan (p. 12)

We saw them filming Edward and Bella going to the Police Station and insiders said it was to bring up the trip to Florida. The script shows the same scene with both interior and exterior shots.

Trying to Catch Victoria - Victoria Jumps over a ravine. (p. 16)

We saw them prepare a massive "ravine" with fake trees on one side and harnesses for stunt work. Victoria's stunt double was in the forests for much of these scenes.

Outside Jacob's - Dr. Carlisle comes to help heal Jacob (p. 108)

I remember seeing Carlisle's car outside Jacob's house along with Bella's truck. I couldn't think of why Carlisle would be there with wolvesuntil someone reminded me of this scene possibility. Sure enough, Cullen's are allowed on to Quileute land at this point. Jacob's bones are re-broken and set correctly. Bella comes to visit.

Outside Highschool - Jacob arrives on motorcycle. (p. 18)

The script says Jacob wears a tight black t-shirt and no coat in the cold. We saw the exterior school with the motorcycle as well as school bus, and other vehicles. We also saw photos of Taylor Lautner in the same outfit looking super hot.

The Third Wife Tale - Bella joins Jacob and the Quileute at the bonfire. (p. 35 - 38)

This was filmed in the back of Jacob's house. In the books it was at the beach and we assumed they just filmed it behind Jacob's to avoid moving set, but in the script it actually says behind Jacob's house. Also the scene where Bella sees herself as the third wife (foreshadowing her actions later when Riley and Victoria show up at the tent (p. 104) to fight) was filmed separately (the first week of filming).

Graduation - Outside Party (p. 54)

In the books the party is at the Cullen's. It still is in this script, but while filming they had a "graduation party" outside the school (at a local park) and at the time I wasn't sure if they were using the park as the Cullen's yard or what. The script tells us that after graduation, everyone is outside the school.

Other bits I saw filmed / reported on:

-Angela and Bella doing graduation invitations (p. 31)
-The graduation (p. 54)
-The Cannery with newborns (p. 42 & 59 & 83)
-The woods (fight training, fighting, etc.) (p. 62 & 97 & throughout)
-The Tent Scene (exterior filmed on the mountain, interior filmed in studio) (p. 88)
-Lainey reported Bella piggypack on Jacob and blood drippings
-Highschool shooting (though this set I didn't go to in New Moon or Eclispe during live filming - too chaotic)
-Jacob's House and his Garage.

What surprised me/didn't know or anticipate:

-Bella's dream of Jasper with red eyes as Victoria appears beside him, tipping her off that the newborn army is Victoria's doing. I didn't know about this scene at all and think it will be awesome. (p. 70)

-Riley's parents at the Forks Police Station and the "missing person" posters were a nice edition to tie in the story, especially when he is in the Swan house and sees Charlie sleeping and his own photo in the file.

-Alice and Edward in the volturi chairs, showing the Volturi's goal of having them and their talents part of their team. (p. 41)

-The Cullen's have a television and watch CNN (p. 39)

Cool Parts:

-Bella punching Jake after the kiss, Charlie's response (p. 47)
-"Doesn't he own a shirt" from Edward about Jacob (LOL) (p. 34)
-Marriage/Sex Talk with Charlie (everything with Charlie is always great!) (p. 78)
-The almost sex scene including a "shirtless" Edward. "It's not old fashioned, it's ancient" ha ha (p. 80)
-The Jacob/Bella consensual kiss (p. 90)
-The proposal(s)
-Addition of Leah as a wolf and her transformation

Notes:

-It doesn't "SAY" leg-hitch but I am sure it will be included by actions in the film.

-The newborns emerging from the water was filmed where my husband proposed to me <3 (p. 86) -I wanted more banter between Edward & Jacob and I feel like through filming and ad lib the final product may have more than the script shows (hopefully) (p. 88 & throughout) -Part of the fight scene has a log breaking (p. 101) and I remember seeing the fake log that was broken as well as giant boulders that were actually light as air... hoping to see them be thrown in the film though the script doesn't mention it. -In the tent as "sleep takes over" (p. 90) I would have preferred to see her "dream" of a future life with Jacob as opposed to how they have her wake up and have Jacob overhear they are engaged, chase him, kiss him, imagine future... I dunno... just me? -Most of the forest scenes were shot in three different forests and two of those were used in New Moon. Two of them were on private property so no one could get close to see but the circus (hair/make-up etc.) was away from the private property and fans often waited by it to catch a glimpse of their fave cast. Some had successes, some did not.

-The ending is rumoured to be slightly different than this script - I guess we won't know until the June release of the movie, but overall I think the script is fairly accurate.

-All my set reports for Eclipse run from August 17, 2009 - October 31, 2009. Go to my archives to view again and compare to script if you wish <3

Julia Jones talks about Taylor Lautner

Twilight actress Julia Jones recently dished on filming Eclipse and shed a bit of light on the celebrity diets of the vampire and werewolf franchise.

“We ate a lot of chocolate, anything round that was throwable,” RadarOnline.com quoted Julia as saying. She almost mentioned co-star Taylor Lautner had the best target practice of the bunch.

"It got very competitive," she told Radar. "[On] how many grapes or chocolates could you get in someone’s mouth.”

As for the star, we're hoping she fueled her body with more than just sweets. Speaking of the scenes in which she transforms into a werewolf, Jones says her arms hurt so bad from the filming work that she couldn't use them for days after.

"I realized after 18 takes that I was landing on the ground and I had dirt on my chin," she said. While co-star and werewolf Taylor Lautner had the martial arts training to back up his Eclipse power moves, Jones found breaking in the training a bit more painful.

She told Radar, "I couldn’t lift my arms for four days!”

More cast listings for Twilight Saga Eclipse

Twifans posted this:

From IMDb, in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse page, we can see a list of the cast, and there are 3 actors that we did not know of. Here they are:

Monique Ganderto

She appears as a Beautiful Vampire.

Ben Geldreich

He will play the role of John.

Justin Rain

e is going to play the role of a Quilieute warrior.

What do you think?

Mandy's Mind - I love that Twilight Fans are caring about minor characters, I mean, getting known is how actors make it and paying attention to these minor characters is awesome in my opinion... I especially like that New Moon & Eclipse were filmed in Vancouver and cast quite a few Canadians and moreover local BC actors... yee-haw!

Tinsel Korey gives a special holiday gift to Quileute Children

This just in from the Quileuete Nation:

“Twilight Saga:New Moon” actress Tinsel Korey who portrays Emily in the franchise gave the Quileute Tribal School students a special “Christmas Treat”.

Each student at the school received a personalized autographed photo from Tinsel on the last day of school before Christmas break. “Tinsel autographed the photos after her visit in the fall for each student and I wanted to them to receive them for a special occasion, states Jackie Jacobs. ‘I thought it would be a special treat for them to receive them for Christmas!”

“I was moved to tears when she requested the student list from Stephanie at the front desk of the Tribal School and when she proceeded to write each students name on her photo I actually did cry knowing how much that would to mean to the kids”, says Jacobs.

“The students love Tinsel and this latest gesture is yet another example of the beauty of her spirit”, states Chairwoman Carol Hatch. Principal Al Zantua said, “This is going to make them very happy, it truly will be a surprise for our kids.’ Thank you Tinsel, for remembering the kids at Quileute.”

In addition to her generosity for the Quileute students, Korey also led a success coat drive to benefit the Navajo community.”

This Week in Eclipse Filming....

So far I have been 7/7 for sets... though it is 7/8 if you count the misinterpreted joke that led to twitter-drama the other day

Monday - Wednesday was filming meadow and beach scenes with Kristen & Taylor as well as Kristen & Robert. It is a familiar set for New Moon Set-Stalkers and is a great set for the cast and crew as it is impossible to get too unless you are working on the set.

I went by to snap some photos of the "border" (no not the Quileute / vamp border... the fan/cast&crew border LOL)

These are from a photo in which I cropped to ensure contact information and specific details weren't put on my blog.

This matches Lainey's Report that:

The main stars have been hard at work this week. David Slade tweeted on Monday that he shot with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson
[“Shot with Rob and Kristen today, both gave great performances. Lots of frustrating noisy planes overhead but beautiful scene regardless.”]and I can tell you exclusively that Kristen has also been working with Taylor Lautner this week. “Bella” goes on a piggyback run with “Jacob” and they run through the forest. She also drops blood everywhere, and at some point she punches him in the face after he kisses her.

And for the Twi-Hards, Slade’s Tweet referred to scenes between Stewart and Pattinson that took place in the “meadow”. My source tell me that they talk about getting married, they roll around a little, and they agree on a wedding date.

Today they are filming at the School Set... there were a lot of people there yesterday after some misinformed person who is obviously clueless about the workings of a film industry tweeted they were going to be filming. (It was just being set up)

But fans are excited that Rob was seen Read More on Today's Set Here

More Sets, More Filming and More Reports from me.... Very Soon!!! :)
