National Lampoon's Christmas Drinking Game

What you will need for this game: an excessive amount of beer, a Santa hat & a single shot of your choice 

Take One Drink Every Time:

• Ellen calls Clark "Sparky"
• Someone is wearing an ugly holiday sweater
• Clark does something awkward
• There is singing or music
• The swimming pool is referenced
• Clark is wearing a sports team article of clothing, unless of course, you are wearing a Chicago Blackhawks jersey, then that means you are a complete badass & you get to give drinks at each of those parts.

Additional Rules: 

The entire group takes a drink whenever an advent calendar door is opened.

You must yell “Shitter’s Full!” any time you leave to use the restroom, otherwise you must finish your beer when you return.

First person to say “Get me somebody! And get me somebody while I'm waiting!” when Frank Shirley appears on screen for the first time chooses a person to finish their drink.

First person to stand up & fully complete the “knock on the door, peek in…” correctly WITH hand gestures during that scene gives two drinks.

At any point in the movie, you can point to someone & yell "RUS!" If they do not respond with "Right here, dad" they must take a drink (max once per person, this could get excessive).

Anytime someone misquotes a line in the movie, they have to wear the Santa hat until it gets passed to the next person. When the movie is over, the last person wearing the Santa hat has to shotgun a beer & finish by saying “Ahh, It’s good, It’s good. It’s good.”

Whoever ISN’T up for watching Home Alone immediately after the movie ends has to take the SHOT! 

More Theo James coming this Christmas

Theo James is reportedly tied to the Christmas comedy 'The Most Wonderful Time'

Keaton and Arkin play Charlotte and Sam, a long-married couple who have been growing apart for decades and decide to host one last Christmas celebration before revealing to their family that they’re separating. Their grown children come home for the holidays with their own relationship issues and personality quirks, completely oblivious to their parents’ turmoil. As the entire family shares memories and creates chaos that includes a shocking episode at dinner, Charlotte and Sam begin to question their decision.

 

“The Most Wonderful Time” does not have a release date yet but Relativity is committed to making the movie in 2014.

This sounds like a cute holiday flick and I would love to see Theo in the lead as a "fake boyfriend" brought home by Amanda Seyfried... Merry Christmas indeed!

Leaving, On a Jet Plane...

I am at Seatac, I am flying stand by and unfortunately my Seatac - JFK flight was full as was the JFK - Orlando, so I swapped to a Boston layover which meant a midnight departure not 9pm....luckily I had a ride down not a shuttle so we went to Red Lobster for dinner.

I had never been to a Red Lobster because 1- we don't have any near me and 2 - I am not a huge seafood fan.... wait - I lie... When I lived in Michigan we went once.... but I was 20... we are talking ten years ago, I barely even remember going....

Anmyways, I had steak and lobster, figured you couldn't go wrong with a surf & turf... it was good...

Now I am at the airport awaiting my flight, it is chilly here at the gate, glad I brought my parka, even though i am heading to sunny Florida... is it weird I want to try some oranges while I am there... I have a vision of myself walking through orange fields, er... orchards... and picking oranges to eat... ha ha unlikely...

I am excited for this trip because I can scratch two more states off my "MUST SEE USA STATES"

Boston MA, although just a lay over, is two hours and honestly, anything more than an hour counts in my books, airport only - or not.....

Then Orlando FL for the weekend... I can't even wait.

I am super excited as it is a friends birthday so a few of us gals are flying in to celebrate :)

When I get back it's work work all week then holidays for the holidays, we aren't travelling, except maybe driving to Seattle, but we plan to enjoy home, Christmas and fun times....

We have our annual Christmas Sweater/PJ Party and family plans and gingerbread house making and present wrapping and hopefully some snow... if not we will probably head to a local mountain for snow tubing or something fun... Last year we went to the local mountain to snow tube then to my aunt's for dinner and an outdoor hot tub in the snow - - epic!

Anyways, this is deffo more personal blog but I am sitting here bored at the airport.....

Breaking Dawn returns to previous sets

With all the excitement of the Cottage Photos I took Sunday, I have neglected the old, faithful, familiar sets of Twilight's past.

Twilight Saga New Moon and Eclipse both filmed in Vancouver and it seems Breaking Dawn will re-use some of those locations for filming.

Last week we saw Bella Swan's house covered with festive Christmas decorations and this week I re-visted some of these familiar past sets to see if anything was noticably different, indicating a possible return for filming the last two films.

Here are some photos of both the Swan and Black house - looking festive with wreaths on the doors.

A Closer look shows the Christmas Lights, wreath and holly decor.

 

Looking closer you can see a small wreath on Jacob's Door... though the Canada Flag likely won't stay ;)

With the cast slowly arriving, including some wolves today (and Robsten arriving last night)filming is sure to start soon.

Where will they go?
 

Here is a list of rumoured scenes to be shot over the next 7 weeks in Vancouver. Of course filming schedules change like the wind... weather, lighting, timing, actors, crew, and numerous other factors can result in changes - but based on the planned scenes to be shot we can assume there will be some use of old sets as well as new sets yet to be discovered.

Where to first?

That I do not know... Here are some guesses based on scenes planned to be shot, gossip amongst fans and knowledge of the local area...

Pemberton or Whistler to film the Denali Clan and some "Alaska" shots?

Bella Swan's for some Christmas scenes?

Jacob's House on the rez for some wolf time? or Future Life with Teenaged Renesmee?

The Cottage for sweet loving?

New locations waiting to be discovered?


Time will tell .... Stay Tuned, you know I will be on it and reporting anything I can find out for fans wishing to keep up-to-date on the happenings here in Hollywood North.

NEW PHOTOS - Bella's House decorated for Christmas

Today my twi-twit-buddy @depechemama popped by Bella's house and got some fantastic shots of the Christmas decor at Bella's House... how exciting!

At first I thought maybe they were using the house for another production (as they did after New Moon) but then I remembered that Bill Condon sent us that wonderful interior set photo of Christmas from Breaking Dawn and now I am fairly sure it is for Breaking Dawn.

With Baton Rouge filming wrapping recently and Bella's house completely up and decorated, it seems certain the cast and crew will arrive as planned in upcoming days.

This is exciting for local fans.

I won't be able to go to sets as often as I did during New Moon, but like Eclipse I will go out when I can and when I can't I will have friends pop by and share photos and stories of what is going on.

Back to Work on Breaking Dawn

According to cast tweets there were some "big" scenes that involved fake snow... thoughts?

Some believe the battle/encounter while others are saying flashbacks and flash forwards (predictions etc) The easiest way to "test" this of course is to consider which cast is in town, what they tweet and then compare to scenes from the books.

I know they only have a few more weeks in Baton Rouge so I wonder which scenes they have lined up? More importantly which scenes will be filmed here in Vancouver?

I am excited that we will get two more movies out of these Saga, but the wait is killing me... at least New Moon and Eclipse was fairly quick, this two parter dragging on and on is making me impatient... just me?

Stephenie Meyers Christmas Story

This is a Christmas Story published in Ensign in 2006 before Twilight was big.

Suddenly everyone was quiet. Even my rowdy children paused, feeling the change in the atmosphere.

Christmas stories happen in the most everyday places. I was part of one not long ago at the grocery store. I hope I never forget it, though the memory is bittersweet.

I had been shopping for almost an hour by the time I got to the checkout lines. My two youngest sons were with me, the four-year-old refusing to hold onto the cart, the two-year-old trying to climb out of the basket and jump down to play with his brother. Both got progressively whinier and louder as I tried to keep them under control, so I was looking for the fastest lane possible. I had two choices. In the first line were three customers, and they all had just a few purchases. In the second line was only one man, a harried young father with his own crying baby, but his cart was overflowing with groceries.

I quickly looked over the three-person line again. The woman in the front was very elderly, white haired and rail thin, and her hands were shaking as she tried unsuccessfully to unlatch her big purse. In the other line, the young father was throwing his food onto the conveyor belt with superhuman speed. I got in line behind him.

It was the right choice. I was able to start unloading my groceries before the elderly woman was even finished paying. My four-year-old was pulling candy from the shelf, and my little one was trying to help by lobbing cans of soup at me. I felt I couldn’t get out of the store fast enough.

And then, over the sound of the store’s cheery holiday music, I heard the checker in the other line talking loudly, too loudly. I glanced over as my hands kept working.

“No, I’m sorry,” the checker was almost shouting at the old woman, who didn’t seem to understand. “That card won’t work. You are past your limit. Do you have another way to pay?” The tiny old woman blinked at the checker with a confused expression. Not only were her hands shaking now, but her shoulders too. The teenage bagger rolled her eyes and sighed.

As I caught a soup can just before it hit my face, I thought to myself: “Boy, did I choose the right line! Those three are going to be there forever.” My mood was positively smug as my checker began scanning my food.

But the smiling woman directly in line behind the elderly lady had a different reaction. Quietly, with no fanfare, she moved to the older woman’s side and ran her own credit card through the reader.

“Merry Christmas,” she said softly, still smiling.

And then everyone was quiet. Even my rowdy children paused, feeling the change in the atmosphere.

It took a minute for the older woman to understand what had happened. The checker, her face thoughtful, hesitated with the receipt in her hand, not sure whom to give it to. The smiling woman took it and tucked it into the elderly woman’s bag.

“I can’t accept …” the older woman began to protest, with tears forming in her eyes.

The smiling woman interrupted her. “I can afford to do it. What I can’t afford is not to do it.”

“Let me help you out,” the suddenly respectful bagger insisted, taking the basket and also taking the old woman’s arm, the way she might have helped her own grandmother.

I watched the checker in my line pause before she pressed the total key to dab at the corner of her eyes with a tissue.

Paying for my groceries and gathering my children, I made it out of the store before the smiling woman. I had made the right choice of lanes, it seemed.

But as I walked out into the bright December sunshine, I was not thinking about my luck but about what I could not afford.

I could not afford my current, self-absorbed frame of mind.

I could not afford to have my children learn lessons of compassion only from strangers.

I could not afford to be so distant from the spirit of Christ at any time of the year—especially during this great season of giving.

I could not afford to let another stranger, another brother or sister, cross my path in need of help without doing something about it.

And that is why I hope never to forget the Christmas hero in the grocery store. The next time I have a chance to be that kind of a hero, I can’t afford to miss it.

Christ Colfer wrote and will star in a movie set to film next summer.... Struck by Lightning. Could be cool.

White Twilight Saga Book Covers - Limited Edition Collection

TheBookSeller.com has reported that there will be limited edition white copies of Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn available this fall - Just in time for Christmas!

The white titles will only be published between October and Christmas 2010, replacing the usual black jackets. The titles will have crimson-edged pages and crimson back covers, with text confined to the spines.

A £75 hardback box-set of the Twilight Saga, plus the novella The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, is also being released on 12th October.
