2013 another year for Channing Tatum?

Last year i wrote that I would meet Channing Tatum in 2012 and I did!
[read story here]

It was a lot of planning and hoping and luck... I had planned to go to SNL but couldn't, then to The Vow premiere, but didn't, finally I was in LA for Hunger Games and caught the 21 Jump Street premiere and after party and also Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel - EPIC!

Now, I want more... never enough Channing.... 2013 looks like a good year for him again... I mean he was voted sexiest man alive (rightfully so, I have said so for years!) and is up for nominations for some of awards season.... but besides all that, 2013 is more movies... I can NOT wait~!

First of all, Upcoming movies:

New movies means movie premieres, maybe I can score a cheap flight down to LA for one of these upcoming movies....

GI Joe Retaliation

Finally, this movie was pushed back at least two times I can recall and it is one of the Channing Tatum movies my husband won't complain about going to see. Channing returns to his role as Duke and I am sure will be looking good while kicking ass.

Side Effects

This movie looks amazing. Plus Channing is in it so I will love it for sure. The same people who did Contagion which creeped me out, this one looks less gross and more psyho-thriller.

White House Down

This movie recently wrapped filming and is post-production. There was a clip from "behind the scenes" that i posted here. Man, I love Channing in action, he is just so rawr!

Fox Catcher

Is filming now and schedule for late 2013. I wish I could go to PA. to set stalk ha ha. Just Jared posted pics the other day on set and writes:

Foxcatcher is the story of John du Pont (Steve Carell), who suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and killed Olympic wrestler David Schultz (Ruffalo). Channing plays David’s brother Mark, a fellow wrestler.

The Contortionist's Handbook

There is no date for this yet, but it has been mentioned for over a year, so I am anxious to get more information on this. The Wrap writes:

Tatum will play John Vincent, a young man born with an extra finger on one hand, whose disfigurement leads to an interest in sleight-of-hand. Escaping his troubled past, John grows up to be a drug-addicted forger whose strict code of conduct keeps him from getting caught while assuming various identities. He begins to break his own rules when he falls for a beautiful woman with her own dark secret.

21 Jump Street 2

A sequel.... yes... no dates or details on this yet, but it is sure to be amazing!

Jupiter Ascending

This is scheduled on IMDB for 2014, but we all know how reliable IMDB can be ha ha I knwo nothing about this except that the siblings (Wachowskis) who did Cloud Atlas are set to film it in early 2013 and it will be 3D. It sounds like a crazy film, but Channing Tatum in 3D has be there in a heart beat! Movieline writes:

Jupiter Ascending is set in a universe where humans are quite low in the evolutionary hierarchy. There, Mila Kunis plays an immigrant cleaning lady who is targeted for assassination by the Queen of the Universe because she possesses the same genetic make-up and therefore poses a threat to the Queen's rule. Sounds like a very specific variation on the Engineers hatred of the human race in Prometheus, no?

Word is Channing Tatum plays a bounty hunter sent to eliminate Kunis' character, who instead falls in love with her. Just guessing here, but I bet that means more bounty hunters are dispatched to track down the lovebirds.

So there we have it, another year (or two) of busy Channing Tatum. He will be lonely away from his wife... maybe I can go visit him for a weekend?!?! ;) I am just kidding (unless you gonna do it) haha

He also opened his new resturant in New Orleans, which is a city I love so I must plan a visit there soon and preferably on a weekend he is there... tee hee!

So much Channing love

Haywire - AFI Secret Screening Nov 2011

Today is the release of 'Haywire' in theatres. I have to say, it is a film you don't want to miss! It is action-packed and brings Gina Carano, MMA superstar, to the big screen. With some sexy Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor and Michael Fassbender, it's a movie you have to see in theatres!

I was lucky enough to attend a secret screening of the movie back in November at the AFI Fest in L.A. at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

Besides seeing some awesome red carpet arrivals, we got to see the movie with the director and cast, then do a Q&A with them hosted by Joel McHale, after the film.

Here are some photos from that night:

I had posted some of these back in November tagged, I trust that posting these untagged, people will stil link back to this page with credit to me as photographer. Thanks.

And go see Haywire - it's bad ass! Go Gina!

More from L.A. - Wrapping up Convention, Hollywood and more

Last night was the "Wedding Reception" where Booboo, Charlie, Mia, Christian and Tinsel came to hang out with fans.

Once again Booboo and Tinsel showed their committment to fans staying quite late. Mia disappeared early on again and Christian stayed quite a while chatting with fans.

I had a great conversation with Christian Camargo, I totally love him! We chatted about Whistler, Vancouver, Olympic Village, Dexter.... gah!!! I also got a photo with him - totally amazeballs!

I also chatted with Charlie about Vancouver and skiing. Then this morning was the breakfast, a lot different than usual. Charlie had to catch his flight so he did a quick autograph and no table circulation.

Alex, Christian and Daniel, however, did the rounds at the tables and then autographs.

Daniel was sweet as ever, we chatted about bars in Vancouver and how he was wearing a poppy to represent Canada.

Alex was cute and cocky as always, but super sweet. We talked about Vancouver, in particular Coquitlam where Jacob's house is (for the films) I told him some history on that land/area and he shared some fun filming stories.

Christian bumped his leg on our table when he went to sit down. We had a brief chat, I stayed mostly quiet because I had chatted with him for so long last night, but a friend at the table said to him that I was a huge Dexter fan, and he said he knew and reminded me what he had said the night before... Stay tuned for more ice truck killer on dexter... *squee*

After autograpsh (I got a double of Daniel because one was for my roomie Juaan who sadly had to leave to catch her flight) I met with new roomie Lisa and we took a cab to our new hotel... it sure isn't the Hyatt ha ha  ! Then our other roomie Dez joined and we went to Hollywood for the Marilyn Monroe movie premier red carpet. We missed Emma Watson but saw Michelle Williams (barely)

Right after was the BUTTER premier at the AFI Festival and we saw some more celebs as well as some convention friends. Here are the red carpet photos for Butter featuring Jennifer Garner and Olivia Wilde....

It was awesome because we called for Jenn and she waved to us mid-interview... Olivia Wilde arrived quite late and did the carpet very quickly. Ashley Greene, Hugh Jackman, Alicia Silverstone among other cast were not seen by us. Not sure they attended.

Then we went to eat at Hooters and used our 4square check-in to get free appies - score!

Then we went to the AFI people and won tickets to the advanced screening of Haywire.

I am, as many know, a MASSIVE Channing Tatum fan, sadly he wasn't there because he is filming, but after the awesome movie there was a Q & A hosted my Joel McHale with director Steven Soderbergh, and actors Ewan McGregor, Gina Carano, Michael Fassbender.

How incredible!

We got photos with Gina after (I used to watch her on Gladiators)

After that we tried the Metro and found it super fast to get to our hotel - SCORE!

Now it is ZZzzzzz time as tomorrow is another long day with Jimmy Kimmel to see Taylor Lautner as well as the Immortals Premier (no I amnot doing both, the cloning experiement failed unfortunately)

Wish you were all here - Having a blast!
