#SNL: Paul Rudd and One Direction FTW

It's been a while since I enjoyed SNL so much!

From One Direction, Special guest appearences by Kristen Wiig, Steve Carrell, Will Ferrell, Fred Armisen, it was star studded.

I loved the new and improved Santa with his "ho ho ho" the opening monologue, Weekend Update, Sound of Music spoof and almost every sketch was pretty awesome. One Direction performed awesomely, I just really enjoyed the whole episode! My favourite, after the opening monologue, was probably Paul Rudd as the creepy #1 One Direction Fan - ha ha so funny!

“The Sound of Music Live & Condensed,” and featured a surprise appearance by Kristen Wiig as her now classic character Dooneese! The sketch ended with another surprise appearance by SNL alum Fred Armisen reprising his Lawrence Welk spoof! 

Host, Paul Rudd came out with One Direction during his opening monologue. Paul wasn’t to be uptstaged by another musical guest and brings on his own “man band” which features his Anchorman 2 cast Steve Carrell, David Koechner and SNL alum Will Ferrell. Paul affectionately names the guys on the stage Nine Direction as they sing the song “Afternoon Delight.”

Darren Criss filming 'Imogen' PHOTOS

Darren Criss is in New York filming with Kristen Wiig in 'Imogen'. He will be staying in NYC a lot this year and next, as he takes over for Daniel Radcliffe in 'How To Succeed' on Broadway. Also, his Character Blaine on Glee will be leaving Private School to join the crew at McKinney.

Darren Criss cast in 'Imogen'

Glee, Broadway and now a movie? Darren Criss has come a long way since youtube ;) and I am thrilled! He is so talented and sexy... I can't get enough of him!

Darren Criss will co-star opposite Kristen Wiig in the comedy Imogen, which is shooting later this summer. He will play her potential lover! Bow chicka wow wow!

Kristen Wiig is a playwright who fakes a suicide to win back her ex-boyfriend and then must go back home to New Jersey to live with her mother (Annette Beninh who will "chanel her inner snooki". Darren Criss will play a new (and younger) love interest, and hopefully the sparks will fly.

Summer House to play at Toronto Film Festival June 1 - 6

HollywoodNews.com: In a few weeks time, The Worldwide Short Film Festival will be screening “The Summer House”, a short film in which Robert Pattinson plays. The short film is an adaptation of a coming-of-age story in which a teenage girl (Jane) summering at an aunt’s chateau in rural France discovers the complexity of romantic relationships—both those of certain family members, as well as her own.

The film was shot in 2008, just prior to the release of “Twilight”, the final buffer between Rob and international mega-stardom. In “The Summer House”, Rob plays the role of 18-year-old Richard, the love interest of Jane. Having broken up with her to date another woman prior to her departure for the summer, once dumped by the other, he appears unexpectedly at Jane’s retreat to win her back. Through a series of benign advances (e.g., love letters) and other more forceful attempts, he pushes Jane to come farther into herself.

The film’s official web site describes Richard as a “good looking boy, with an ambivalent feminine side, skinny and androgynous in the fashion of that time. He is narcissistic and entirely self regarding, his is a solipsistic universe with only one golden person inhabiting it; himself.”

The festival will run from June 1st to June 6th in Toronto, Canada, and will feature a series of celebrity shorts. In addition to Robert Pattinson in “The Summer House” other notable celeb appearances include Vincent D’Onofrio (“The New Tenants”), Saturday Night Live’s Kristen Wiig (“One Night Only”), and the voice of Meryl Streep (“There Must Be More to Life”).
