New Moon Cast on Entertainment Tonight

Stephenie Meyer on Oprah November 13th

This on Stephenie’s Official Website:

“I wanted to apprise you all of a few upcoming things.

You know I’ve been doing the hermit thing this last year, in so far as media is concerned, and I’m not changing that now, but I am making an exception. I’m doing this for a good reason: I am so pleased and amazed and thrilled with what Chris Weitz has done with New Moon that I want to talk about it, and to show my support for him. And since I’m only doing one interview, better make it big. Really big. So….I will be on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday, November 13th. Check the local listings on Oprah’s website to find out what time it will be on where you live.

Of course, most of the questions for Oprah will be designed for a broader audience than just die-hard Twilight fans, and I imagine people who read this site and other fansites will already know most of the answers. To rectify this, I’m going to answer your more specific questions on-line. The official Twilight Saga website (www.TheTwilightSaga.com) will be taking any New Moon movie-related questions you might have for me, and then I’ll answer those most frequently asked. I’ll post the answers on the Twilight Saga website and also here on my own site. Questions can be submitted to TheTwilightSaga.com from noon (Eastern Standard Time) on Monday, November 9th through noon Tuesday, November 10th. The answers will be posted Monday, November 16th—or New Moon Premiere Day, as it is known around my house. (Details about submitting the questions will be posted first thing Monday morning at TheTwilightSaga.com, you can also get more information below.)

I’m so very excited that you’ll all get to see New Moon in just two weeks! Then you’ll see what I’m going on about. Until then, think up some good questions for me.

Love,

Steph”

Taylor Lautner says Robert Pattinson does a lot of boxing in his time off.

Taylor and Rob have argued between themselves who would win in a fight, Jacob or Edward. Taylor says that it's still up in the air.

THE EAGLE HAS LANDED. ROB IS IN THE ROOM, Y'ALL!!

Robert Pattinson is drinking a coke out of the bottle. Wearing a red plaid shirt and leather jacket.

Rob on the scene whr he comes 2 the light: I guess its kinda 1 of the clsest momnts Ive rly felt 2 ppls emotnl attchmnt 2 the char.

How has regular life changed for Rob: I don’t know what that really is like bc I have not had a sustained period where I’m off.

Would Rob fight Taylor? "Maybe if I had some kind of weapon" Hahah! #newmoon

Rob seems very confident answering questions, and his hair is only moderately messy today. :)

Robert Pattinson connected to New Moon the most out of the Twilight series. #newmoon #robertpattinson #rpattz

On Rob's appearances in New Moon: I was so worried that it was going to be random scenes. #newmoon #robertpattinson #rpattz

Rob on serending someone: You need to have so much balls to do that, Jesus Christ. #newmoon #rpattz #robertpattinson

Robert Pattinson - I’ve got to stop being so self deprecating bc people are starting to believe it. #newmoon

From HitFixDaniel:

"I don't know bwn me and Rob. He does a lot of boxing in his time off, so it might be a good matchup." - Lautner v. Pattinson?

Some guy named "Pattinson" is up next. Y'all probably don't care, right?

"He is like a saint. He's one of the best people I've ever met." - Pattinson is a big Chris Weitz fan.

"It's not Edward you're playing. It's a manifestation of Bella's loneliness and desperation." - Rob on being an apparition

Pattinson says that he's had three days off all year long, so he doesn't know how the "outside world" has changed.

"Looking at Taylor's martial arts videos from when he was like 9, I wouldn't want to do anything." Rob vs. Taylor?

"I think it's actually a *fact* that Edward would win. If I read the books correctly." Rob on Edward vs. Jacob

I do not believe that my hair would do what Rob's hair is currently doing. Nor am I certain I'd want it to?

"You've just got to remember that you're being paid." - Rob on distinguishing between on-screen love and off.

Rob says that loads and loads of apparition footage we shot and have been cut out. And he's happy with that.

"No, I don't think so." - Rob on whether he's ever had his heart broken like Bella's is broken in the movie.

"I actually can't think about a single romantic thing I've ever don." - Rob

"I really like Wesley Snipes. I think Wesley Snipes is great." - Rob struggling with his favorite movie vamp

"I've got to stop being so self-deprecating, because people are starting to believe it." - Rob

Rob says he things "Breaking Dawn" is tentatively scheduled to begin shooting next fall. But he isn't sure.

That's all, folks. WHEW. Thanks for following along.

New Moon DVD Info on Deleted Scenes and Extras

When you attend a press junket, you never know where and when you’re going to land a scoop. Sometimes you get a great story during a roundtable interview, and other times you’re sharing an elevator ride with the director of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” and you ask him about the DVD. Which is what happened to me today.

On my way to do an interview with producer Wyck Godfrey, I happened to run into director Chris Weitz. Since I didn’t have a chance to ask a question during the press conference, I used my shared elevator ride to find out what extras would be on the DVD and how many minutes of deleted scenes “Twilight” fans could expect. While he confirmed the usual stuff like a commentary with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, the big news is he told me there would be around ten minutes of deleted scenes. More after the jump:

From the way Weitz spoke, I believe the DVD is going to have the deleted scenes placed back into the scene so you can watch the full scene play and not just see the stuff that was cut out. I’m not sure if the movie will be an extended edition, or if the deleted scenes will be in a separate area of the disc. I’m sure we’ll hear about that soon enough.

The big news for fans is you’re going to get ten extra minutes whenever the DVD/Blu-ray gets released.

Here’s my conversation with Chris Weitz. Due to the short amount of time, I was unable to find out exactly what was cut out.

Collider: What can we expect on the New Moon DVD?

Chris Weitz: On the DVD there will be some deleted scenes, there will be a commentary with me and I think Kristen, Rob and Taylor at the same time, and some making of and behind the scenes type stuff.

My big question is how many minutes of deleted scenes?

Weitz: I think it’s around twenty.

Is there really going to be that many minutes?

Weitz: Yeah, but sometimes it’s just showing a whole scene with bits that have been cut out. There is not like twenty minutes of stuff thrown out. It’s like here is the fully expanded scene.

Here’s my question….the Twilight fans are obsessed with seeing stuff they haven’t seen before. So how many minutes do you think of footage that’s not in the theater would be on the DVD/Blu-ray?

Weitz: I’d say a good ten minutes of groovy stuff they haven’t seen.

So why did you cut it?

Weitz: The running time of the film and the cadence of how I wanted the film to play.

Whatta great day for Twilight Fans ;)

Robert Pattinson has Breaking Dawn on his agenda....

Though Breaking Dawn has not officially been confirmed to #1 - happen at all #2 - be one or two movies #3 - be filmed in Vancouver or Portland or elsewhere or #4 - have a set date to film, Rob mentioned it today during the press conference. Although it really doesn't confirm anything official one way or another, it's hope that we will know eventually answers to #2-4 and that #1 is a yes!

Fearnet wrote this:

Rumors had been swirling about the last chapter in the Twilight Saga film franchise: would Breaking Dawn get greenlit or not? While everyone from Twilight producer Wyck Godfrey to star Kristen Stewart managed to stay tight-lipped about the unconfirmed sequel at today's New Moon press conference in Beverly Hills, our hopeful hearts got a piece of very big news about the film from none other than Robert Pattinson.

Answering the last question of the day, Rob shared his shooting schedule for 2010 – including, at least for now, filming the novel adaptation Bel Ami, the western Unbound Captives, and yes, Breaking Dawn.

"I think the tentative time for Breaking Dawn is fall of next year," Pattinson said, adding that Summit "may well change that."

"Depending on how things go I'm doing a movie called Bel Ami in February, which is an adaptation of a Guy de Maupassant novel," he continued. "And I'm doing, I hope, a Western with Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman called Unbound Captives sometime around there as well.

He described his role in Unbound Captives, which coincidentally will bring Pattinson in close contact again with Native American culture – not Quileute, but Comanche. "I'm playing a kid who is kidnapped by Comanches when he was four years old, and he is brought up by them. His mother spends her entire life trying to find me and my sister. When she finds us, we can't remember who she is and can't remember anything about the Western culture she grew up in. I speak Comanche the whole movie. You can't really speak more differently from Edward."

Of course, Breaking Dawn remains officially unconfirmed by Summit. Even screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg was mum on the subject when we spoke with her earlier this month. The hesitation concerning Breaking Dawn may involve the mature nature of its plot points and the rumored possibility of dividing it into two separate films. But if Pattinson's penciling Breaking Dawn into his schedule, then so are we.

Interview with the Humans

Twilight Lexicon posted this:

About 10 different Twilight fansites had a phone interview with Anna and Mike. The questions are from the following websites: Twilight Examiner, Twilight Series Theories, Twilight Facebook, Twilight Moms, His Golden Eyes, Twilighters, Twilighters Anonymous, Twilight Superfan, Twilight Source/Imprint, Bella and Edward, Twilight Lexicon.

Q: In New Moon you have a kind of love triangle going on. I’m curious to see how that ended up playing out for you.

M: There are a couple of different love triangles there. There’s obviously the one between Bella and Jacob and Edward that Mike is trying to squeeze into. More of a love rectangle. And I guess there’s the one between Mike and Jessica and Bella. You know, Jessica likes Mike. Mike likes Bella. Everybody likes Bella. And it sort of doesn’t turn out great for Mike or Jessica. A lot of this is very indicative of high school heart ache in general, but it’s sort of heightened with these supernatural characters.

Q: Both of you have a background in theatre. I wanted to know how that has helped you with your roles for Twilight and New Moon?

A: Well on a logistical note, there was a scene when Jessica and Bella go to the movies, when we were shooting that outside there were like hundreds of girls standing and watching as we shot it. It was just a nice tool to have experience in front of a live audience. It seems like a silly comparison, but honestly it helped to kind of block out the fact that all these fans were watching us and to try to just focus on the scene and ignore the fact that they’re all kind of videotaping us from the side lines.

Q: What was your favorite scene to shoot?

Mike: My favorite scene by far was the kind of three way date that happened between Mike and Bella and Jacob. That horribly awkward moment when Mike asks Bella out to the movies and she tries to turn it into a group thing and then it ends up being the worst case scenario which is that that three way thing. You know, I’m sure it was certainly not a lot of fun for Mike to go through. I mean, I can relate, as I’m sure a lot of us can, but it was a lot of fun to do.

Anna: And I would have to say that there is a scene where Jessica and Bella go to the movies. That was fun because Jessica really likes to talk about herself and Bella is really depressed. She’s not saying much. We were just kind of trying to do it all in one take, and Chris told me to just keep talking until we came to a natural stop. So I stopped and just kind of monologued as flighty, silly Jessica which was a blast.

Q: Does having different directors and different visions for different movies cause any confusion for how you should play your character?

Mike: I think that the directors that we’ve had are very different in terms of style and process, but there seems to be a singular vision in terms of our characters. Everyone seems to be pretty unanimous about it, and that basically is that we are there to add levity to the franchise and to just represent normalcy in Bella’s life. Represent just kind of a real high school experience to give the story some grounding so that people are able to believe the more supernatural fantasy elements.

Q: You talked about the monologueing. Can you give us some examples of ad-libbing that you were able to do?

Anna: Well, I don’t want to give anything away. Honestly, we were doing these takes where I just had to keep talking to fill space. So I am wondering what exactly it was that I ended up saying just as much as anybody. So I’m looking forward to seeing it and finding out because I have almost no idea what I ended up saying.

Q: You guys are both so great about adding that comedic element into the movies. You both seem to be able to say a thousand words with your facial expressions. So I was just curious who were your comedic inspirations as actors?

Mike: Well, for me the whole reason I became an actor was because of Jim Carrey. I probably watched Ave Ventura Pet Detective a thousand times as a kid. Man, other than that, a lot of comedic inspiration and actors… guys like… I’m just going to stick with Jim Carrey for now because he sort of jump started the whole thing for me.

Anna: I would have to say Parker Posey has been a favorite of mine for a long time and all the players involved in Christopher Guest films. But then at the same time more traditional ladies of comedy, you know, the Tina Fey and Kristen Wiigs of the world are very inspirational, I think, as far as women in comedy go.

Q: New Moon is definitely a darker film, but can we expect the same humor that we got form your characters in Twilight?

Anna: I hope so. I hope that we add some humor, that certainly was the goal. The films do get darker but the scripts seem to include a little bit for the humans to do, as Mike said, to kind of add a realism and a grounding point for a franchise that is set in a fantasy world.

Mike: Yeah. What’s a lot of fun for me is that the high school kids really are very isolated from the rest of the story, so even if the overall tone does get more intense as we go along, our role really doesn’t change in that respect.

Q: This question is for Anna. Melissa Rosenburg, the screen writer, said that she wrote your role kind of as a combination of Jessica Stanley and Lauren Mallory. I was wondering if you keep that in mind or do you just kind of stick with Jessica’s mind set.

Anna: I have heard that and I know that she wrote some elements in to incorporate both characters. I know that they are both kind of the alpha female mean girls of the novels. One thing about my playing this role was that I felt like the only real way for me to play a girl who, in spite all accounts, should really be tall, thin, and blonde, was just kind of make it really desperate and needy and just a girl who is constantly trying to be liked, and comes of a little pathetic doing it. So I know that elements of both of those characters are incorporated into the script. I think the humans have a little more leeway in terms of how we play our characters. It really only made sense to play it a little awkward and a little desperate. But really, underneath it all, that’s really what those girls are. It made sense for me. That may be what it is on paper, but there’s only so much I can do to make it kind of mean girl-y.

Q: What’s the most rewarding things that you’ve been able to do with the fame that you’ve achieved from Twilight. If it’s charitable or something with a fan. What’s the most memorable experience due to your fame from Twilight.

Mike: One of the things that I – well really it was a mutual decision that my family and I made really early on is to be committed to some kind of charity work as a way of just keeping me grounded and keeping a good perspective while working in the entertainment industry. So I have been working with an organization called “Kids With a Cause” for a number of years and we’ve done a lot of really great work. It’s sort of in transition right now. With this franchise – with Twilight specifically I was able to raise a decent amount of money for “Kids With a Cause” that went to help feed a lot of kids. We go down to orphanages in Mexico quite often and bring a lot of supplies and things that they may need. You know, generally it’s not really charity if you talk about it, but it’s been an incredibly rewarding experience. And that aspect of it – I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Q: You guys portray the nice people in the series, does it feel ostracizing to not be included in the fight scenes or action sequences?

J: Well, I love being on the lighter side of things. I think it is definitely needed in the film. It can’t just be dark moods, love triangles and stuff like that. I think that it is refreshing to us to act in those type of scenes too. I very much enjoy it.

C: It would be fun to get to do some of the training, but it’s still nice to have this brighter, lighter role where I can bring some comedy to it.

Q: What do you think the fans will be most surprised by in New Moon?

J: They will be very surprised when they see how amazing Taylor looks without his shirt on.

*J & C laughs*

C: Each film is definitely growing, and getting slightly darker as each movie/book goes on. So I think it’s going to be the same but better… a little edgier.

Q: We’ve heard a lot about Chris Weitz, and we’d like to know what you took away from working with him?

J: What i took away is how important it is to be meticulous and thorough in pre-production and planning for a movie because once we got on set he had done all the work in terms of setting things up. So all we had to do was come in and just play. So, it was really relieving and it just shows because I am just an actor but with working with different directors, he really was on the ball with this stuff.

C: The thing about Chris was that he was on point. We got there, and he had already had a phone call with each of us. He was really into getting to know each of us. He was probably one of the best directors I have worked with, but he wasn’t like a ‘director’ director. He was like this friend that just happened to be amazing at directing! He knew what he was doing and he had a vision. He made sure we incorporated what we wanted to, but still got across what he wanted to, and it has created this awesome flick.

Q: At the end of Twilight we see that Eric and Angela are a couple at the prom. Do they stay together in New Moon, and if so, how would you describe their relationship? Are they quirky, silly, or cute?

J: Yeah, they stay together.

C: They are together through it all. They are very silly, and very quirky. They’re an interesting couple.

J: Quirky, but at times I don’t even know. It is like, they aren’t even together, but they are. They are very much together, but, you know how those couples that will fight in front of everyone else but in private, they will be as sweet as can be.

C: They’re that cute bickering couple.

Q: Since you have played your characters for two films, and you play them so well, is there a point where you ad lib a line or tweak something in the script? Or do you think that your character might say something other than what is written?

J: Well, it is really up to the director on how he feels that the scene ultimately should be shaped, but if there is something that we feel that might be more effective by tweaking it a little and we will do it and see what the director has to say. If he likes it, he will keep it in. If not, we’ll just continue to explore the options.

C: We’re really encouraged to speak up and let someone know if we feel it would be better to do this… everyone is encouraged to speak up because we are trying to make the best movie ever! We’re trying to nail it, and if we feel something coming out of our mouth, then we’re encouraged to speak up.

Q: Do you have a favorite line from New Moon that sticks out to you?

J: Yeah I think I do. But, honestly I haven’t seen the movie yet, so I think I will probably pick one when I see it.

C: Yah, me too!

Q: In Twilight you guys contributed something personal to your wardrobe. Did you do that again for New Moon?

J: Not so much so. I think it was more settled on what we’d wear this time around and our characters are more established and they kind of take it from there this time around.

C: I have been wearing my own glasses through the whole saga; they are pretty much Angela’s glasses now. I auditioned with my glasses, and I wore them for Twilight, and they broke. It was a lot of wear and tear on my glasses so they had to special order the exact same pair from Gucci with my prescription in them and everything. So if I am wearing those and not wearing any animal products then I am good!

Q: In Twilight your characters are the comic relief, after intense moments with Edward and Bella. Will that continue in New Moon?

J: I think so yeah.

C: That’s pretty much our purpose.

J: We are definitely there to make sure that it isn’t too serious to where people want to -

C: Scream, yah! We’re the comic relief. We are there to brighten things up!

Q: How much has your life changed from Twilight to New Moon, as far as doors opening or media scrutiny on you guys?

C: There have been minor changes. There’s a little more attention, but we get the laid back version of the attention aspect of it. So, that’s been pretty cool!

J: Yeah, I agree with Christian. We get a lot of the benefits without the drawbacks. Me and Christian can still walk on the street and be fine.

Q: Have you taken any souvenirs from the Twilight or New Moon sets?

J: Mm, not me. I haven’t taken anything. I am a good little boy.

C: He set that up because of what I’m going to tell you. Yah, I took some bracelets! I forgot to take them off, and then I realized I was happy I forgot to because I had an ‘Angela souvenir’.

Q: Since you haven’t seen the film yet (New Moon), can you tell us what scene you are most looking forward to seeing, whether you were in it or not?

C: I’m excited to see the cliff dive and the Volturi come into the mix for the first time.

J: Yeah, I am really excited to see how the Volturi’s appearance is and how they act. I’m also excited to see Taylor/Jacob ride his motorcycle and really tear it up.

Q: Have you ever been on your own and thought, “What would my character (Angela/Eric) do?” Has it affected any of your choices?

C: Not really.

J: Not too much. Because Eric is – I don’t think I would make the same decisions as he does. But you know, Erik is a little smarter than I am in real life.

C: I think so too!

J: *laughs* Yeah, maybe I should start thinking “What would Erik do?”

Q: We love the human characters, but if you could choose one of the more serious characters to play in New Moon, who would you pick?

J: I would like to play Alex’s role, Paul. He just has so much testosterone going on. So wild you know?

C: If I could play another character, I think it would be awesome to take a shot at playing Leah. She’s got an awesome sass about her, and I think its fun to play sassy characters.

Q: Has your association with the Twilight Saga movies inspired any of your friends or family to come out of the Twilight Closet, and reveal their obsession with the books or the movie?

C: Oh, yah! I know a lot of people. One of my friends, when I told them I was working on this project, went out and bought the books and fell madly in love with them! What’s awesome is that I, my family and some of my friends are taking this journey together.

J: My sister is a huge fan of Twilight. So, she can’t even believe that I am a part of this. In a way it is like, she wishes I wasn’t in it, because when she sees me it is like, “Oh, now I know that it is a movie because my brother is in it” you know? But my sister loves the whole series.

Q: Have you guys had any crazy or memorable fan experiences?

C: None very crazy. They have all been really respectful and really chill. They have all actually all been really cool people.

J: The craziest I have seen is with a girl. She tattooed Twilight and New Moon on her body. I thought that was pretty wild.

Q: Because the fans are so dedicated, have you ever been huge fans of something (experienced that for yourselves with something other than Twilight)?

C: I have a huge obsession with So You Think You Can Dance. It was an obnoxiously large obsession. I even went to the SYTYCD concert.

J: I had a huge obsession with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when I was a kid. They even had a soundtrack on cassette tapes back then, and I bought all that stuff. I bought action figures, and t-shirts…

C: That’s weird!

J: …that fake green ooze. Yeah I was just really obsessed with it.

A-Team Filming in Vancouver

A-team is filming in Vancouver.

They are preparing to film people going up or down the side of a tall building and in preparation for that were hooking up pulley's and testing them with sand bags outside my friends office windows.

We all agree seeing Bradley Cooper whiz down a wire outside your office window would be rad.... sadly, stunt men, not Bradley Cooper or main cast, will be the ones gliding several stories up and down the sky scrapers.

It's so cool to have A-Team filming here. I loved A-Team as a kid.

Last month I saw them filming at what seems to be an "army base" though I obviously can't be certain. It was awesome to see the tanks and tents and equipment. Apparently a lot of pyro was planned at this site.

Awesome huh?

Also a couple weekends ago they were down town filming. I was lucky enough to be stuck in traffic but as I approached could see the blue flashing lights of "cop cars" and people running as a "machine gun" shot off (we could hear the sounds)

A friend who was closer actually got video of it all - I will ask her to email it for me to post if you are interested?

The new version of A-Team Stars:

Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton 'Faceman' Peck

Liam Neeson as Col. John 'Hannibal' Smith

Jessica Biel as Amy Allen

Sharlto Copley as Capt. 'Howling Mad' Murdock

Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson as Sgt. Bosco 'B.A.' Baracus

My husband would LOVE to meet Rampage Jackson as he's a massive UFC fan... myself, strictly interested in Bradley Cooper... though Jessica Biel would be fun and Liam Neeson... well - - obviously a welcomed sighting ;)

They are scheduled to be here til mid-December filming.

“ @LarryCarroll: “New Moon” was genuinely awesome. A lot of people are about to be very happy.”

-------------------------------------

Personally I can't wait - though I have become so much less of a fan of Summit so that "Summit was fabulous" quote can be flushed.... they have been doing douchey things to good people lately.... grrr... 'nuff said...

is it November 19th yet??

MTV asks Fans Questions to Cast.

MTV posted this:

All week long, we've been bringing questions straight from the mouths of Twilighters worldwide to the stars of this month's "New Moon" You guys have already been able to get them to open up about online haters, vital plot points and even "sexual white chocolate."

Now, the fun continues with part four of "New Moon" Stars Answer Fans' Burning Questions, starring three of our favorite "New Moon" males. Read on for their revealing thoughts on iPods, extra scenes they wanted inserted in the sequel and why it ain't easy being Robert Pattinson.

Jamie Campbell Bower
Q: What is Rob Pattinson like behind the scenes?

Campbell Bower: Well, he's into his music. He loves all kinds of music. I don't know if there's a tidbit I could give, a snippet of his life that I could give. He's just a normal guy. I feel for him already, because people just want to know everything about him and feel like they own [people who are that famous]. It's tough, man. It's tough for them.

MTV: But Rob's experience could be a preview of what's to come for you after "New Moon." Does that kind of fame concern you?

Campbell Bower: I don't know. Probably not, just because of the character. I think people won't be as in love with the character Caius as they would be in love with Edward. [Laughs.]

Kellan Lutz
Q: We know there will be more Edward in the "New Moon" movie than there was in the book, but did you and the other Cullens ever try to lobby for more screen time as well?

Lutz: I think I really tried to. I tried to throw in my two cents, to see if Emmett and Rosalie could have a honeymoon again in Italy so we could be around and be part of the whole situation of Edward, Alice and Bella. [But the script] has to really follow the book, because the fans are so die-hard about what happened in the book. I mean, I had a line that was in the ["Twilight"] trailers that wasn't in the book, and I heard some of the fans saying, "That's not in the book!" Like, "What the heck is up with that?" So, in "New Moon," the script is very similar to the book and the Cullens are in where they would be in, and they aren't put in anywhere else.

MTV: It would be kind of cheesy if Edward and Bella just happened to bump into the Cullens in Italy.

Lutz: [Laughs.] Well, I thought it would be a fun idea. Because my character, as well as Nikki Reed's Rosalie, we go away to college. We're a year older, along with Jasper and Alice, so I think it could be a cool thing to maybe show a clip of them somewhere — a fun honeymoon, away from the rest of the family. But, no.

Billy Burke
Q: What music is on your iPod playlist?

Burke: I have a huge, hugely eclectic collection. There's a lot of the stuff that's swimming out there right now. I'm a big Kings of Leon fan, then I like some of the older [stuff]. I like old Billy Joel, old Elton John. I'm a huge Tom Waits fan. I have his entire collection. And a lot of Peter Murphy's stuff with Bauhaus. Then the other side of that, I like country music as well. I've got a lot of country music on there. So, it runs the gamut.

MTV: We all remember those shots a few months ago of the "Eclipse" cast at the Kings of Leon concert. Were you there?

Burke: I was not there. I was gone. I come to the set for a week, two weeks at a time, and then I'm away. And I happened to be away at that time during that week, which was kind of a pisser.

MTV: That must have sucked, to see the photos online of your friends at a concert by one of your favorite bands.

Burke: Yeah, and they probably got carte blanche to do anything they wanted, like hang out, go backstage, whatever. But you know what? That's OK, because I probably would have felt like the old guy hanging out with them anyways.

American Idol Executive Producer to do Bel Ami?

LA TIMES posted:
Well, sort of. "American Idol" executive producer Simon Fuller has signed on to executive produce "Bel Ami," an erotically charged period drama starring Robert Pattinson and Nicole Kidman.

The film, an adaptation of French author Guy De Maupassant’s novel, revolves around a young man's rise to the top of Parisian society in the 1890s via the beds of the city's most glamorous and influential women.

Stage directors Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod will direct from a script by Rachel Bennette.

Mandy's Note - Um, I thought GossipCop said NO to Nicole Kidman? I wonder..... I wouldn't believe any of this either way 100% - - I prefer to wait until it's officially announced...

Rachelle LeFevre in Gotham Magazine - Stunning

Rachelle is feautred in the upcoming issue of Gotham Magazine:

With long, curly red hair, porcelain skin and a loud, infectious laugh, actress Rachelle Lefevre is hard to overlook. But until she appeared as the bitchy bloodsucker Victoria in the 2008 smash hit Twilight, she'd been a relative unknown. Now with the hotly anticipated second film in the series, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, hitting theaters November 20 and two more films in the works, Lefevre is about to find herself in the glare of the spotlight.

"When I first got to LA, everybody said I was too 'girl-next-door' for edgier roles," she says. "I ended up playing a stripper, an escort, a vampire and an off-her-rocker troubled poet. I keep playing roles that are not even close to the girl next door."

While Lefevre's upcoming projects will certainly keep her from being typecast, they also give the actress a chance to walk a mile in some very different shoes. In Barney's Version, she plays the manic-depressive, hippie-poet first wife of costar Paul Giamatti. In Casino Jack, she's a Washington, DC, power player (opposite Kevin Spacey and Jon Lovitz), a character that's based on real life press secretary Emily Miller.

"We'd gotten the suits together and [when we went] shopping for shoes, I bought these intensely spiky Fendi and Christian Dior stilettos," says Lefevre. "I felt she was a little bit 'vanity first,' and it helped me find her as a character. And I do that without judgment— depending on how you grow up and the circles you move in, you value different things, and I saw her as valuing really good heels."

When she's not on set, the 30-year-old Montreal native prefers J Brand jeans, tees, boots, blazers and a signature piece of chunky jewelry. Her last fashion splurge: a gray patent leather Chloé Eloise bag. And while she’ll also cop to Balmain and Stella McCartney obsessions, it’s at New York City's myriad vintage stores, including Cadillac's Castle and Zachary's Smile, that she gets her best retail therapy.

However, dressing up for Gotham's fashion shoot gave the actress a whole new appreciation for modern design. "There's quite a difference between putting on a regular dress and a dress that has a bodice built into it, and boning and all this invisible stuff underneath," she says. "I literally had a different body in these dresses. They're designed to physically make you, from the neck down, a better woman."

Julia Jones Interview with Lime Life

If you could ask one question about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart...what would it be?

We know ours. Here LimeLife wraps up a two-week series with the gorgeous Julia Jones, who will make her debut in the Twilight saga as Leah Clearwater in Eclipse. Over the last two weeks Jones has filled us in on answers that Twilight fans can only hope for the chance to ask: on-set and cast secrets, how an actor lands a highly-coveted role in the series and how Twilight, as she said, changes lives.

For the final part of our series, Julia was gracious to answer one question for us about what it's really like to work with her co-star Robert Pattinson...and she even opened up about working with Kristen Stewart. We were also so curious whether Robert Pattinson was like some other actors we have heard about about who don't break characters, even when filming has stopped. Is he a hard-core method actor, only responding to people when they call him Edward? Check it out!

LimeLife: Okay Julia Jones, if we could ask you anything about one of your co-stars, it would be this: Does Robert Pattinson speak with an American or a British accent between takes?

Julia Jones: (laughs) Yes, Rob is British, he has a British accent, and he speaks like that when he's not acting! His [American] accent is so good, actually. Sometimes hearing him speak in his normal British accent, I get a little thrown off, because his American accent is just perfect.

LimeLife: Can you tell us whether he is actually a pleasure to work with?

Julia Jones: Oh, he's an absolute pleasure to work with. He's great. He's thoughtful and he's generous and he's laid-back. He's got all the qualities that you'd look for in somebody you'd be working with.

LimeLife: Would you say the same for Kristen Stewart too? We love her.

Julia Jones: I have a lot of respect for [Kristen] because she's just sort of got this balance of being cool and doing her own thing, and then also being very professional and really pushing herself in front of the camera. It's a hard talent to have, especially as a young actor. I was really impressed with her.

Funny Look at Harper's Bazaar Photo Shoot

Lainey friggin' rocks. Here are her thoughts on the Harper's Bazaar Photo Shoot... I love it...

As for what I think of the HB shoot…

You know I am all over Kristen Stewart. She’s a bitch and she’s figuring it out and she’s thoughtful and she’s trying and she’ s an individual. She knows what she likes, she doesn’t want to look like anyone else, and she’s totally confident that in not looking like anyone else, it means she looks good. She looked good in Allure – really, really good – and she looked f-cking crazy good in Interview.

[Mandy's Note - hell yea she is a bitch and not in a bad way - she owns it she is coming to realize it too - and it's this sassy, bad-ass, awesomeness... ]

Harper’s Bazaar?

Well…

The face is there. It always is. And it’s unquestionably, compellingly beautiful.

But the styling is for sh-t. The antithesis of esoteric. The styling is Prom Night meets the Pageant. Because that’s the HB readership. They’re old. There’s no sassy edge. And they did her a great disservice.

That Alexander McQueen bubble gown is not Kristen Stewart. Maybe Charlize Theron. On Kristen Stewart, who is actually quite short, it drowns out some of her best features. Too heavy around the shoulders, too long covering her legs. And the black slinky number against the pillar was made for Sharon Stone. They wanted to make her look more mature, instead they made her look 12.

Don’t mind the shredded leather skirt but the shoes are a cop out and while I’m down with what they’ve put her in on the motorcycle I wish he would get out of the way so we could see more of how it drapes across the chest. It’s a fashion magazine after all.

Also, the image they’ve used on the cover is an engagement photo from Sears. The kind of couple that would run a cash bar wedding.

[Mandy's Note - I seriously laughed OUT LOUD at this... too funny... I thought at first those shots were manips... they are so awkward... though they are great for making manips of xmas cards and wedding invitation as seen on most fansites now ;) funny]

As photo shoots go, Pattinson’s solo Vanity Fair was far superior. For high fashion and tone, I’d love to see what Joe Zee would do with her. Because this effort was totally uninspired. Kristen Stewart has funky mad steeze. And they turned her into a Mall Girl. Blasphemy.

Here’s a much better iteration of Stewart in Mexico with Taylor Lautner on New Moon promotion earlier this week. See? Personal style. You can’t teach this. What you can do is mute it with bland water and cheese. Enter Twilight and Harper’s Bazaar.

And here comes the hate.

Lainey makes me laugh... it's true... though I don't complain, bring on the photo spam, even bad photos are photos... but Vanity Fair's shoot last year was the better shoot.... and for solo's shoots, ROb's Vanity Fair and Kstew's Interview and Allure were better shoots... DEFFO

Dakota Fanning does New Moon Promotion too

I have always loved her interviews since she was a little girl doing the circuit for I Am Sam. So Poised for a young girl... and now, all grown up it should be good....

Tú magazine’s NEW MOON Feature

Tú magazine’s latest issue has new interviews with Taylor, Kristen, Michael, Nikki, Jackson and Kellan. Twilight Poison split this post into three, so you’ll see Taylor and Kristen’s interviews first.

All the interviews are new, since Tú traveled to Vancouver to speak with them

Taylor Lautner.

How has your life changed since the success of Twilight?

The Twilight experience has given me a new life. My daily schedule has changed a lot, I’m very busy now. We filmed Twilight and when we were done, we started doing promotion tours and all these fun things. Until the movie came out we were able to rest and go home, but then almost immediatly we went back to film New Moon.

What do you think of the fans of the saga?

The fans are very cool. Very passionate. I’ve had some crazy encounters with some of them, but it’s been fun so far (laughs). I’m very thankful because if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be here.

Do you think hey helped you keep the role of Jacob Black?

Definitely. I know I could’ve worked just in Twilight, and that would’ve been my whole involvement with the saga. That’s why I thank them for their support. It’ll be cool when I finally get to thank them in person.

Has fame changed the way you present yourself to the audience?

Sometimes I’m afraid of going out, especially when there’s a lot of fans who want to come up to you, but I try to have as much fun as possible with the fame. Sometimes I have to hear a hat and glasses to go out and not be recognized. Depends on the day.

What are the differences that you find between the two directors of Twilight and New Moon?

Both are great, very talented. Catherine’s mind is very quick and she has many great ideas. She loves working wit young people. Chris is very calm and cool.

How do you feel about working again with Kristen and Rob?

Kristen is great, I have a lot of fun with her, we’re very close and the chemistry we have behind the scenes will be reflected in the movie. Rob and I are friends in reallife, but when the cameras start rolling we loathe each other.

Kristen Stewart

How do you feel about returning to the set for the sequel of Twilight?

It’s so surreal to be back. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a year, and now it’s happening. I could not wait to be back.

What were you doing in the months prior to starting the filming of New Moon?

It was hard. Usually you do a movie and there’s a long grieving process after you’re done filming it, and you let go of the character. You need to let this character leave your mind. But I could not get rid of Bella. I worked in other projects and it wasn’t hard to go back to Twilight.. Maybe it was because I had the book as a reference, or because I knew I was coming back.

What happens with your character in New Moon?

Bella loses the guy she’s in love with. I’m sure that’s happened before to many people. She forgets all about her life plans and she’s too young to experience something like that. She glorifies her own bad break-up, the worst break up anyone can go through. She questions everything and she even jumps off a cliff onto the frozen ocean.

Is this a test for Bella?

She’s a very brave woman, but she’s going through something that’s ripping her apart. It doesn’t matter how perfect Jacob is at the moment for her, she’s still faithful to Edward, even if it’s not comfortable, unpractical and not a good idea.

How much did your life change after Twilight?

My life hasn’t changed. Most of the circumstances in which I’ve found myself are very different from what they were a year ago, but I personally haven’t changed, just the normal changes of an 18 year old girl and all she can grow in 365 days.

What’s your responsibility wit the fans of the book?

It’s weird to give life to a character that people know so well, so you don’t know if you are going to meet their expectations or not. But they read the book in a very different way. Sme people pay attention to certain details, and others follow the story differently. But we do have a huge responsability with the audience and the fans of the books, and that’s why we’re here. We thank the fans who let us do what we love, and that is the biggest pleassure.

What is it like to work with a different director for the sequel?

As an actor you never work with the same director, even if it is a sequel. I love Catherine, she’s a dear friend of mine, but now I think Chris understands the story better and identifies himself more with it. Aside from all the technical things, he’s very devoted to it, it’s weird that a guy is so passionate about it, but I can tell you that he’s one of the most compassionate human biengs I’ve ever met. He worries about the story so much, and we need that to be able to develope our characters, so he’s the perfect director for New Moon.

What can we expect in this movie?

You’ll see a girl whose life is in order, and then all of a sudden her existance stops being the way it was. It’s about how you have to recover and be fine again. There’s vampires and werewolves, so this confrontation for her love makes it more exciting. Rob looks very handsome in this one, so does Taylor, so the fans will not be disappointed. Both are great in this movie.

Twilight Poison will post the interview with Michael Welch in part 2 of the post. Click here for the scans.

James Franco on General Hospital?

Craziness. He is also doing 30 Rock and a ton of new films.... this excited me as watching him in Pineapple Express and Spiderman on repeat is getting old... jsut kidding... that will never get old, but more is more... rawr!

Lainey Posts:
Have you seen this? It’s the first look at James Franco on General Hospital. Don’t ask me about the storyline. I don’t care about the storyline. What I do care about are the scenes. Soap opera scenes are long and drawn out. Takes them days to have one conversation. Excruciating ordinarily but in this case, it means every day during the week there’s a long long LONG close up on James Franco for at least cumulatively 10 minutes an episode. Happiness.

As mentioned earlier, Per Ausiello, following his GH run, James will also guest on 30 Rock. And of course he already has several films in the can including the comedy Your Highness with Natalie Portman, Eat Pray Love with Julia Roberts, and Howl in which he plays Allen Ginsberg.

James is the current Independent Spirit Award Best Supporting Actor. And he still wants to know how it is to rough it on daytime. It might be time to move him off the Freebie 5 and onto the Lifetime List.

Eclipse Poster?

RobstenLovers posted this New Eclipse Poster they found via DeadNetCentral.

I do not know how or where this came from or if it is legit but it looks cool either way.

Is it weird I am already counting down to June 30, 2010?

More Harper's Bazaar Interview

For the record, I still think they were itnerviewed seperately and though they definately show a liking for each other I do not believe this proves Robsten is real - yet... sorry Robsten Fans... I just can't committ to it being fact based on this!!!

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart's Wild Ride

With Twilight, the young actors found themselves thrust into the spotlight. Now, while their characters are torn apart in New Moon, they couldn't be closer. For more, see pictures from their cover shoot and video with a sneak peek at New Moon. Plus, 11 things you didn't know about Rob & Kristen.

By Laura Brown

...See previous post of the first half of the article here

In the corner of Rob's hotel room sits a stack of boxes. "Most of it is my dirty washing from New York," he says shamefacedly. "I didn't do any washing the whole time I was there. I just put it in boxes and shipped them up here." When his clean laundry runs out, he steals socks and underwear from sets. I find a suspicious lump in his jacket pocket, which turns out to be a pair of black socks. "Oh, God!" he says, bursting out in laughter. "See? I'm a klepto."

Famousness, it seems, hit Rob before he could coordinate his infrastructure. The most functional parts of his hotel room's decor are a couple of guitars and a box of Ray-Bans. "Do you want a pair?" he asks, thrusting them into my hand. "I've got 16." At least he's prepared to withstand the glare of the spotlight. He chuckles and says, "My dad says he likes to bask in my glow."

Rob might want to stash some of those sunglasses, because the excitement about next summer's release of Eclipse, in which Bella and Edward get engaged, might, yes, eclipse New Moon. The tabloids are excitedly reporting that Rob and Kristen are "Engaged!" based solely on them calling each other "husband" and "wife" on set. So it seems only appropriate to hit them with a newlywed game of sorts. ...

Who spends more time on their hair?

Kristen: "Rob."

Rob: "I have weird personal-space issues, and so I can't stand people -- um, I'll do anything to not have any touch-ups."

Competitive?

Kristen: "Rob. In a very childish way, in every aspect of his life. He'll literally start talking in a different voice if he's won something. He sounds like a five-year-old."

Rob: "I'd say it was even. She said me? Really? When I really win things, it's just like..." [Kristen is correct: He makes a noise like a five-year-old.]

Athletic?

Kristen: "I'm definitely claiming that one. Rob can barely jump rope. I call him Flippy because when he does his stunt rehearsals, he flips around [makes a gesture like a penguin]. And, God, when he tries to run ..."

Rob: "Kristen. You notice it in the film; she looks so much more athletic than I do. And I'm supposed to be the superhero."

Egotistical?

Kristen: "I'd have to say him. I hope he says him too actually. Like every time he looks in the mirror and he twists his hair. Actually, he could give a fuck about his hair. I hope that sarcasm translates."

Rob: "It's kind of a tie. We're both pretty proud people. Her ego is more solid than mine, but mine has soared to such peaks, it's ridiculous. Mine's more erratic, but it can get to a point when it's, like, godlike. Only in my eyes, of course. Sometimes just when I say hello the right way, I'm like, Whoa, I'm so cool."

Who Googles themselves more?

Kristen: "Rob."

Rob: "She would say me, but I reckon [Mandy note - he said RECKON?] it's her. If either one of us catches the other one doing it, we're like, Jesus Christ, is that what you're looking at? And the other one's on their phone pretending to text. I look up my competition more than she does. I'm incredibly shallow. I think she just looks at herself."

Who's the better musician?

Kristen: "Rob. He's a great singer. Heartbreaking."

The most outgoing?

Rob: "I was once, but not so much anymore. Kristen's a little more open now."

Better sport?

Kristen: "Who can hang? Definitely me. He's very sensitive. He's got a fragile ego."

{Mandy's Note - yet she got offended by Peter's card to Rob, to her about finding a job you are good at LOL]

Superstitious?

Kristen: "Rob. He's a little bit more paranoid, so that feeds into superstition more."

Rob: "I am. I believe a lot in karma and stuff. Like when I end up with egg on my face, I'm like, Fate! I was born doomed. But I think it's more being an idiot than superstitious."

But perhaps it pays to be a little paranoid. Whatever it takes for Rob and Kristen to live their hothouse lives as normally as they can -- until the November 20 opening of New Moon, anyway. In the interim, CNN will report whenever Rob gets a haircut (it already has), and girls will get mad at Kristen for not wearing pink tube tops and taking their dream man away.

They both fantasize about what they would do if nobody could see them. "I'd like to say something noble," Rob says, fiddling with his hair, "but I'd probably spy on people to hear what they think of me -- and then hate them for it afterward." Kristen is, as ever, a little blunter: "I'd go for a walk."

Rob lands in L.A. - - - I question the relationship of fans/papz/star

I have such mixed feelings about this all. I mean, fans want photos, though we are greedy (hello Vanity Fair and Harper Bazaar and we still want more!) and the Paparazzi's job is to take photos, and somewhere in that mix the movie stars job has become hiding from photos.... which sucks for fans... can't we all come to a happy medium - like fans be less greddy, paparazzi be less agressive and movie stars be more relaxed... it'd be a triple win in my books. I mean what would the harm have been really if paps got a few more shots of him inside the vehicle rather than a jacket?

Am I wrong here?

Thoughts?

Sesame Street's 40th Anniversary

Google Doodle today features Big Birds Legs:

Today is Sesame Street's 40th Birthday....

I remember as a child watching Sesame Street. It used to be a kick-ass show back in the day. They had celebrities and fun episodes.

When tuning in more recently, I didn't enjoy it as much... it didn't seem to have the same appeal, perhaps I am just older and jaded.

Even my daughter outgrew the show quicker than I expected. There are too many fancy shows on now to catch their eye I suppose. They need to make Sesame Street cool again, and going into their 40th season it looks like they plan on it.

After 40 years of broadcasting, an amazing 122 Emmy Awards, and shows in more than 140 countries, the longest-running program in the history of children’s television is coming to you on November 10 with an all-new look and format that will knock your socks off.

“When you turn on your TV on November 10,” says Executive Producer Carol-Lynn Parente, “you’ll see a brand-new and spectacularly beautiful opening sequence. We’re also launching an entirely new format for the show ... this format emulates children’s current television experience, Parente explains. “When the show first started [on November 10, 1969], we followed what was on the air at the time, so we used the techniques of commercials and variety shows to teach children. These days, however, there are entire networks devoted to preschool programming, and our show is an hour long, which is unique in preschool programming. So we thought, our hour really is a block of preschool programming, so let’s look at it that way.”

One of the new spots features 3-D CGI (which is shorthand for “three-dimensional computer-generated imagery”). that were created by Peter de Séve, who designed the characters in Ice Age.

[Mandy's Note - I knew this would happen, gone are the fuzzy furry friends, replaced with CGI *sigh* But I think this is just for some of the characters non?]

“The new season will be star-studded,” Carol-Lynn Parente says. “We have Cameron Diaz in our premiere episode, and Adam Sandler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kobe Bryant, Eva Longoria, Christina Applegate, Ricky Gervais, Greg Kinnear, and more — we have over 30 celebrities this season. And we also have First Lady Michelle Obama!”

That's what I am talking about - - - let's expose these youngin's to famous people early ha ha ha I've also read that Jake Gyyllenhaal will guest appear.. fun!

“It being a special season, we wanted to pick a special curriculum focus,”

In addition to literacy and numeracy they are going to focus on "Green" and "Nature" which I think is a great idea for children to learn early on.

Sesame Street’s big anniversary is being marked by a number of events across the country.

Awn - Sesame Street Rejuvinated... makes me wanna have more kids... almost.
