Once Upon A Time finale filming

Today my family went to Steveston, B.C. for a nice day of sunshine and to see some of the sets used in 'Storybrooke'

Even though we don't live too far away, we had never had the time to go check it out, so today was the day - and a great day it was.
We found out they had filmed that morning and got to watch them film two different scenes.

The first scene was Gold and Belle and the second scene involved the dwarves. We also saw a quick scene involving some extras
We found out the finale would air early or mid-May and it was a two-hour finale (not sure if two hour on one night or two separate nights)

*SPOILER*

Gold walked out of his shop in a suit and sun glasses, looked around then Belle came out of the shop in a tight black mini dress. She looked around then said something we could not hear before giving him a hug.

Next the extras, one girl and two boys, ran down the sidewalk past Golds shop. They could have been running from something.

Last the dwarves were in the main street. We left as this scene began.

Here are some photos from today. I know they will be taken and used elsewhere, so I should care and tag / watermark them all, but to be honest, I am very tired from a day in the sunshine, so I will just ask that if you use these photos you link back to this post as the source. Thank-you in advance.

Before filming, we were taking photos outside Golds and noticed this happening inside... very cool preparations for filming!

Was super cool of the cast to wave good bye and stop to talk with fans, I am regretting not going to see filming sooner, but excited to catch part of the season finale filming

Love in The Wild Finale...

I fell behind with this show but watched the last three episodes back to back this week and was pretty happy with the finale....

Yanina and Ken won. thank goodness because they were the first couple to get serious from day one.

I was rooting for Summer and Chase, but NOT Ben and Michelle (Sorry, I liked Jen!)>

Basically the top three competed and third place wasn't eliminated. THEN in the final three's next competition, who ever came in first would choose their competitor.

Although Yanina and Ken were better friends with Chase and Summer, they chose to compete in the final competition with Ben and Michelle, which was a smart move as they were a newerf couple and less competitive.

Then men used walkie-talkies to radio the girls directions to find different items, which they then brought back to the men and put together a tandem bicycle and rode to town.

In the end they won the trip around the world and I am pretty thrilled about it - they deserve it.

In the after credits we learned all three final couples are still together. - yay!

ANTM Winner

ANTM crowned Sophie Sumner, a 5' 9" 21-year-old from Oxford, England, its first-ever British winner.

"Yes, I did it! When my picture came up, I was like, 'What?!' My reaction was just like, 'Oh my God!' I never thought a Brit could win America's Next Top Model. I'm America's Next Top Model! I've been fighting for this for years and years and I've done it," Sophie laughed after her victory was announced during Wednesday night's finale broadcast of America's Next Top Model: British Invasion, the reality franchise's eighteenth edition which featured seven amateur American hopefuls battling seven all-stars and former Britain's Next Top Model contestants.

Mandy's Mind: I loved her from the start and was so thrilled she won! I wasn't a huge fan of Laura, she kind of reminded me of a drug addict or street whore... too judgey? She's on reality tv.... I am allowed!

x-factor results - spoilers

If you haven't seen or don't want to know yet do not read on...More... Well - Melanie won.

Not shocked, she had the most amazing voice.... though I was rooting for Chris Rene since day one because of his performances and his story and how entertaining he is.

To be honest, Drew, Rachel and Chris were my favourites.

After waiting in line for hours to be in the audience (with tickets) and not getting in, I started to dislike the show. That and I missed seceral weeks because I was travelling.

Then Drew was sent home and I couldn't believe it.

Then Rachel's departure was devastating.

Ah well... Melanie did not even MAKE it originally, then Simon of course changed his mind and brought her back and here you go - she won!

They will all do well, apparently Rachel already signed a contract with Disney? (So said judges on Jimmy Kimmel last week)

Annnnnnyways.....

I enjoyed the celebrity guest performances with contestants. Especially Justin Bieber and Drew - she must have been absolutely DYING inside!?!?

Astro and 50 cent was good too as was Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Marcus Canty.

It was a great show - I am still bitter about not getting inside to watch it while in L.A.

@17foreverlisa and I were sooo excited, then so upset to not get in... 'tis life.

Next Year....

So - who were you rooting for? What did you think of finale?

Hell's Kitchen Finale

Hell's Kitchen came to and end and I have to say, out of the final two, I thought Will would win, but I am not disappointed with Paul. Both were talented and theonly complaint I had about the finale was that Elise was in it! Really? Top 3? She was not even top 10 in my book! Tommy's gf and mom came to visit and the young girl was really attractive, much to everyone's surprise. Paul's brother came, Elise's son and husband and Will's wife and mother I think.... Paul won the first challenge in replicating a dish Chef Ramsay made. He and his brother got to go to a dodger's game where Ramsay threw the first pitch! In the cooking challenge it was close, but Will came out on top allowing him first pick of team mate int he final dinner service. The final challenge of course had them create their own menu items and past cooks returned, they picked teams and did the final Hell's Kitchen Dinner Service. Overall this wa a good season, I ahted that they kept "drama Elise" for ratings, to be honest, she made me not want to watch the show, she wasn't even the "fun" kind of drama. Ah Well. I hope they do another season soon, I would love to attend Hell's Kitchen to eat once.... More Fall TV

#bb13 Finale

Adam, Porsche and Rachel remain as the final 3 and tonight the winner was announced! More... Rachel won first round, as we knew from live feeds. Porsche won second round, as we knew from live feeds. Tonight in a live show down Rachel beat Porsche, but ultimately took Porsche with her to the final two. Adam was hilarious with Julie Chen and the jury asked good questions and had a good discussion. In the end Rachel won. Jeff - R Jordan - R Brendon - R Shelly - R Dani - P Adam - P Kalia - P Crazy Eh? Jeff won America's Fave Player - which brings his total to $40k this season. Not bad since POrsche got $50k at 2nd place ha ha ha! What do you think? I am happy with results!

Bachelor Pad 2

I can't believe Kasey & Vienna are still kicking it. I really don't get how or why people keep saving them? Well, I do know why, they have percieved power... but it is not real! Clearly! Erica and Blake let them have the safety roses so that they could get everyone to vote for them to stay, but Michelle and Graham wouldn't do it and so Blake & Erica left, leaving Kirk and Ella to keep playing, which I am happy about.

If Vienna or Kasey win I will boycott!

At this point, all the crew are filming their finale and I tweeted with a few of them about it. I am excited to see Jackie (who is not with Ames anymore and was feeling nervous about the taping, porr thing, I told her to be honest and be herself because that is what we love about her right?) and Gia, who you remember left in tears unable to hack it, she is just too sweet for the show I guess.

Anyhow, a few weeks left and we get a winner. I would love to see Ella/Kirk get it. I do not want Kasey and Vienna to, I don't like Holly, though I do like Michael (and hear they are back together?!?!) I didn't like Michelle and I don't remember Graham, but I like them now... I don't know I am rooting for Ella at this point - yes, her "story" is moving.... Sue me for having emotions!

Master Chef Finale

Tonight we saw the final three; Christian, Adrien and Jennifer, compete to become the next Master Chef.

The show was two hours and opened with a mystery box challenge which brought the cooks full circle - - Chicken!

They had 60 minutes to prepare an entree that would wow the judges.

Christian

He created a Bacon wrapped chicken with French Onion Sauce and acorn squash. He had good taste but poor plating.

Adrien

He created a Briased Chicken thigh with acorn squah and asparagus on rice. He used herb oil and had a salsa verde. He was complimented on both plating and taste. His asparagus was cooked in rendered bacon fat which added a nice flavour according to the judges.

Jennifer

She also did a Bacon wrapped chicken with apples and jalepeno. She stuffed her chicken and although it was strong creatively, it feel short in some technique as the thigh was undercooked slightly.

The judges decided who was weakest, who won the challenge and then they moved onto the Pressure test....

Read on for results, recap and spoilers....

Jennifer's was the weakest according to the judges and Adrien won the challenge, giving him first pick of the three choices of ingredients in the Pressure Test.

Choice #1 - Veal
Choice #2 - Mushrooms
Choice #3 - Octopus

Adrien went on a limb and chose Octopus for himself. A risk that could make or break him given the difficulty of the ingredient.

Christian had second choice, ultimately choosing for Jennifer also. He chose veal, leaving Jennifer with mushrooms, which he hoped would be a challenge for her. Unfortunately for him, she grew up near mushroom capitol and is VERY familiar with the various types available for this challenge.

They had 10 minutes to gather ingredients only, 60 minutes to cook and then present to the judges. All previous contestents were brought back to the gallery to cheer the final three on.

Christian

Planned a complex veal dish that fell flat half way through and so he changed it up to be a simple veal, mashed potatoe and vegetable medley. He made themistake of serving bone-on veal atop the mashed potatoes, which led to an embarassing moment of Joe cutting it off the bone and replating it for him. He was complimented on good taste, even cooking of the veal but fairly simple dish.

Adrien

He created a pan seared octopus with saffron rice and watercress salad. It was beautifully plated and he was complimented on the flavour, technique and overall skill.

Jennifer

Took a huge risk creating a Mushroom and egg raviolo with mushroom ragu. She changed her pasta up part way through opting to do the ravioli and creating an egg yolk pasta where if cooked correctly would ooze over the dish and if cooked incorrectly would create a tasteless dish clearly under or over cooked.

In the end the judges chose Adrien and Jennifer to move onto the finals, leaving Christian utterly shocked!

Christian joined the gallery upstairs and we moved onto the second house of the two-hour finale with the final two ready to roll.

Jennifer and Adrien's families were brought in to cheer from the gallery and the challenge began.

Task:

2 hours to prepare an appetizer, entree and dessert.

Appetizer

Adrien - Spot Prawns Taquitos with avocado sauce and microgreens. He used jicama not tortilla's and it was described as a light but fresh flavour.

Jennifer - Seared callops and quail eggs with cream corn and pea puree. It was complimented for excellent cooking and taste.

Entree

Adrien - Beer Braised Short Ribs

Jennifer - Stuffed Quail with Jalepeno and chorizo.

Both entree's were complimented on amazing plating, taste and skill.

Dessert

Adrien - Chocolate Torte with blood orange, passion fruit and chipotle. Judges were disaapointed with it overall.

Jennifer - Pears and Apples in a wine sauce. Chef's liked flavour but thought it was too simple.

In the end the winner was announced......... Jennifer!

I was pretty shocked! I had been rooting for her and Adrien for a while now, especially after Ben left. I did not like Christian or Suzy but feared Christian may win or make the final two, despite his ego.

I am pretty happy with the results overall... it was a great season!

Are you happy with the results?

True Blood Finale

Wow! Whatta season, whatta SHORT season, I know we always say we can't get enough of our favourite shows but season 3 felt really short. Why of WHY is TB only 12 episodes a season? It makes me sad... even sadder WHY OH WHY does TB have such a LONG GAP between seasons?

Season 1 ran September 2008 - Nov 2008
Season 2 ran June 2009 - September 2009
Season 3 ran June 2010 - Tonight

and apparently we now wait until NEXT JUNE 2011 for Season 4?!?!?!

This is not acceptable!!!!!

But instead of rant about the wait, which I will do plenty in weeks and months to come...

Let's talk about tonight's episode.. DO NOT READ if you HAVE NOT SEEN

Alcide is yummilicious, I saw him on the VMAs and then on True Blood and it wasn't enough... he tweeted a lot and I RT'd some on twitter... that Joe is one sexy man... apparently we will see more of him in S4 YAY! i WILL BLOG MORE ABOUT HIM IN UPCOMING WEEKS

Sookie finally grew some balls and was tough and even malicious *giggles* in this episode. Taking back her invitation to vampires to enter her house, smirking as she poured Talbot down the drain, fake bargaining with Russell then spraying him with liquid silver, telling both of her vamp men off, it was just nice to see her toughen up for once.

Eric, oh Eric, so glad Sookie saved him, grossed out by the charred Russell this season has successfully made me groan in thrilling disgust a few times - from backwards head sex, Tara and Franklin sex, Franklin brain bashing, Talbot in a jar, and much more (another post for upcoming reading...)

I love Pam - still

Hoyt's intervention cracked me up

Crystal leaving was bizarre, Jason taking care of the inbred were-panthers will be interesting..

Am I the only one that kind of hopes Tara leaves and doesn't come back.. I mean I like her new hair but she drives me bonkers, I don't like her one bit, she is annoying

Arlene wasn't too present

Sam is less crazy but still off... I don't think his brother is dead

I was pissed when Bill put Eric in cement but so happy he got out and told Sookie the truth

GODRIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew he HAD to be in this episode because Allan Hyde tweeted he would be...

I hate that the books and television show are so different but it's good too I guess

The Fairies came - to get her. now what?

If Andy doesn't get his damn wrist cast off by next season I will flip out ha ha

I laughed at "Uncle Daddy Calvin" bahahahaha

I love Jesus, I want to know more about his witchery and wtf is up with Lafayette's visions, I thought it was from the V-blood but there is something more going on for sure.

That's all for now - but expect more TB blogs coming soon I will be craving the show so bad I am bound to do random posts on cast and past seasons :)

What did you like most about the finale?

the season?

Lost Finale

I watched tonight and had high expectations of loose ends being tied neatly in a bow and complex questions being answered.... instead I got a very general conclusion that still magaed to satisfy my desire for the series I have devoted so many hours of viewing time to.

They didn't solve all the islands mysteries, but they brought everyone together and ended it together.

Theories have run wild for years and with each passing season of Lost the speculation mounted. I am anxious to hear other's point of view on the finale - I was still clueless when it ended, but later at a BQQ while explaining it to a friend, found I understood it more when reflecting on it in an explanation to someone else.

The island was real, their experiences were real... so real and so important that even after life they were all stuck in a purgatory until they could meet again and move on together.

Incredible.

Here are some explanations from various other sites I found:

Island Crisis explained it like this:

As it says “Viewers, where are we? The answer: Almost anywhere we want to be”! The simple answer after the final show is that the whole story was not purgatory but only part of the last season was!

Everything that you saw in the show happened. Starting from the plane crash, moving through the smoke monster to the protection of the island and others. In simple words, all the flash forwards and flash backs of the show was in fact the reality and things that happened.

Confusing series right? That is what the producers wanted. Each character which died in the show in fact died in the real universe to be then transported to a single point in purgatory. The final aim was the after life, so everyone had to die to reach that point including those who managed to escape the island.

Now coming back to our real life, the question is if fans are happy with the series ending. Some are more confused than ever while some are quite happy to have predicted the right meaning of the show.

Lost and gone forever examines the "Flash Sideways":

Flash Sideways. Finally, it all makes sense. Although this is definitely up to some interpretation, here's my Cliff's Notes understanding of the Flash Sideways.

1.The Flash Sideways were, effectively, purgatory.

2.The world in the Flash Sideways was somehow mutually created by all of the Lost characters, as a place to "meet up" before moving on. Per Christian Shephard, "this is a place that you all made together so that you could fine one another. The most important part of your life was the time you spent with these people. That's why all of you are here. No one does it alone. You needed all of them, and they needed you." For what? "To remember and to let go."

3.The Flash Sideways were a place to work out and accept the things that each person did in life, to come to terms with their lives before moving on to the afterlife - whatever that may be. It's a beautiful symbolism that ties into the overall Lost theme - finding redemption in life, accepting those decisions in death - and then MOVING ON.

4.Everyone dies - but they didn't all die together. We're trying to fit the Flash Sideways in a very linear timeline, and that's the problem. "There is no now, here." They're a different world - separate from the physical one that we live in. Some characters died long ago (Charlie), some died in "The End" (Jack), and some are going to die, even though we don't know when or how (Hurley, Ben, Kate, Sawyer, Frank, Miles, Claire... and even Richard Alpert - although I didn't see him in the final scene).

Beautiful, hopeful, powerful stuff.

ACN wrote:

To those that still don’t get it, here’s my best explanation of the show’s ending. The first key to understanding the finale is that the “flash sideways” reality of the sixth-season actually takes place in the distant future, rather than parallel to the events of the regular timeline. The “flash sideways” is type of purgatory that is created by the souls and spirits of the castaways after their death, not a parallel universe that was created by the explosion of the atomic bomb and the end of the 5th season back in the 1970’s. In the “flash sideways”, the characters, who are all dead, have to remember their lives before they can move on to the final afterlife.

We might not have gotten every last question that we wanted to answered (What was up with the time differential on and off the island? Where did the big statue come from that was destroyed by Richard’s ship? What was the energy under the island?), but that was a very respectable and solid ending to a show.

Here’s to the last six years.

Overall, there were a lot of things that were never answered - but I feel like the idea of purgatory, reuniting, remembering and moving on trumped any other minor (or major) detail that the series included. I am satisfied and not left in complete frustration.

How did you feel?

Jersey Shore

I had heard so much about this show so I checked it out and secretly, I got hooked. I hated everything about it, the fake tans, the strange lingo, the slutty ways.... but I couldn't stop watching....

I can't imagine a daily schedule that included "GTL Baby" - Gym, Tan, Laundry, nor would I be able to pull off the house bump, grind, bounce, shake and of course "fist pump" - in fact, me and the beat often fight... but I always lose.

I have no nicknames as quirky and fun as "Snooki" or "The Situation" and I use minimal hair products, but somehow I still enjoyed this reality show, secretly.

I've found friends who are closeted fans also and we are starting a support group....

actually, we are planning a Jersey Shore Theme Party... with house music, fist pumping, bump hair, fake tans (ok I am going to lather myself in bronzer) and whorey outfits.... There may some smooshing after too much Ron-Ron-Juice but it's all good, we can be as trashy as we want, afterall, that is the point of this show no?

Many Italian-Americans are ashamed and even outrages by the portrayal of their culture on this show, but as Pauly D said last night on the finale, he isn't trying to represent any culture or group of people, only himself... and represent himself he does well accurately.

I can't believe Pauly D is 29 years old... and "The Situation" is 27... I mean Vinnie is only 21 and the most mature of them all.

I was glad Angeline left, I didn't like her at all.

Snooki really grew on me, after being punched in the face by a man and all hre failed attempts to hook-up, I jsut started to feel for the girl.

The drama was never-ending all season and with talks of a season 2 I think I would actually want the same housemates again...

Anyone else a closet Jersey Shore watcher?

What were your overall thoughts on the show?

I want to go to the Jersey Shore... ha ha...

I found this photo and it just doesn't seem right too me, too classy for the trashy non?

SYTYCD Season 5 Finale

First and Foremost - Congrats to Jeanine.....

She was not a favourite from the start for me, though I always found her stunning, but she worked hard and definately pulled ahead. And 21.6 million votes came in... amazing!!!

If twitter's trending topics had anything to say about it (and really, they do when it's a fan voting based show) Jeanine was predicted to win as of last night when she was ahead of the other four for trending topics.... and then today when her name was the only one still in trending topics....

It was an amazing Top 4 and I was really thinking Kayla could have won but Brandon would, simply because men always seem to win on that darn show.

I have to say I really thought Brandon would win it... I am so glad Jeanine did... was shocked Kayla came in 4th, however, she is such an amazing young lady I see a bright future for her regardless.....

Evan... oh Evan... underdog since day one and a HUGE fan fave...

Pure SYTYCD had an insider tidbit from the Performance show last night:

“…the amount of criticism the judges gave Evan became torturous (they cut a lot of it from the actual show) to the point where everyone felt so bad they started chanting Evan’s name. Sympathy win is more than possible – its likely. However, Jeanine had the most fans there. I would love to see her win it.”

I love Evan and can't wait to see his brother on Season 6 startnig in September.

Other highlights from the finale of course include:

  • Amazing favourite dances from the season
  • Judges included in part of one routine
  • Preview of "Fame" which Kherington stars in and Debi Allen also stars
  • Seeing all the top 20 dance
  • Lot's of tears and ovations
  • Tyce's friend Michelle (whom he choreographed the "breast cancer" routine for) is cancer-free :)
  • 5500 people at the theatre live

If you missed it - you missed a great episode.

Congrats again to Jeanine.... amazing woman!
