November Twi-Trip

November is going to be absolute insanity. I have likely bitten off more than I can chew, but that tends to be how I roll!

I am drowning at work right now, not only is it the busiest time of year for me, my daughter has been sick, I am planning a trip next month and I just feel like I am going crazy... that is why the bloggy has been lacking...

I apologize! Real Life sometimes creeps in and kicks my butt!

More... So Basically the next week is absolutely nuts. Then after next weekend, I have less than a week, in fact, 3 or so days, to get packed and prepared for my trip.

Here is my plan (tentative and still working out kinks)

-Wednesday Nov 2 - Drive to Seattle and Fly to Cali

-Thursday Nov 3 - Check out Grauman's Theatre where a certain trio are getting their hand prints done in the cement.

-Check into hotel and hopefully relax, unless I have tix to a talk show, I applied for a few ha ha

-Friday 4th - Sunday6th is the Convention, Saturday the BIG day with a certain trio on stage in the early evening and most of the cast on stage throughout the day.

-Sunday 6th -Wednesday 9th- move to my cheap hotel ha ha relax for a few days with friends, site-seeing, talkshows maybe... open for suggestions

-Wednesday my buddies arrive and we check into new hotel and prepare for "premiere camping" this will be my first experience (ok WFE NYC but I have scratched that from my memory forever) so I am not sure what to expect but there IS a group of us who plan to do hotel/camp rotations however often permitted by security

-That weekend will be a blur of rotations, mingling, and likely some debauchery

-Monday 14th is the premier, I don't knwo what to expect but if things go well some red carpet action and maybe seeing the movie, to be honest, I would rather see it than red carpet it because I guess I am weird that way LMAO

-That night we have a hotel near LAX and in the early morning fly to NYC

-Check into Hotel, friend has classes while there, but I have other friends living or visiting NYC that I get to see, we have a few things planned such as a BD Screening and a BD midnight release and maybe take in some talk shows and/or broadway shows (I did rush seats in April and got $30 row 4 to How to Succeed in Business and then met Daniel Radcliffe out back... so worth it!!)

-Stay at friends last couple nights, just enjoy the city

-Sunday Nov 20 - FLY HOME!!!!

Tell me I am not crazy......... because I am feeling pretty damn crazy!

After this crazy October though, I deserve a break and this is a little bit more than a break but will be a blast!

When I return it is down to Seattle for USA Thanksgiving with the family and then December is staying home for recoop ha ha

I promise to take tons of photos and tweet lot's and blog lot's and share the experience for those who won't be there!!!

For those that WILL be there (or for at least part, be it the convention, the premiere, nyc, or where ever....) please let me know! I would love to meet up with as many people as possible during this adventure :-)

Christina Perri: A Thousand Years (Music Video/Song Released)

Mandy's Mind:

At first I was curious, then I thought the words were annoying, then the flowers came and I said, they need to do the red ribbon and chess, then they did and I was like, "This is clever"

I really like the song, I think the video is a creative and clever way to be obviously Twilight to the Twilight fan and a little abstract to the regular person.

Verdict: Love it! How about you?

Mandy's Getting Older

Today was my birthday and although I didn't plan to do anything big this year, I did want to do a post called Mandy's Favourite Things... not to compare myself ot Oprah LOL but I like the idea of giving stuff away on my birthday.

Last year in Vegas I took 300 glow sticks and handed them out at the bars and clubs and on the street... I had my Canada beads on and I just told people it was my 30th birthday and I wanted to give out glow-sticks...

Now... this year I wanted to do a draw/give-away of a few of my favourite things... but Real Life kicked my ass today... it usually does in October but today was especially rough!

Allow me to vent:

I am always emotional on my birthday, it's stupid!

I worked unexpectedly long today!

My new cable was installed, so I had to cancel the old and do a bunch of crap - but I have my new net, phone, cable WOOOO!

I had a brain freeze and went to a meeting at 3:30 forgetting it was moved to 5:30pm which meant I couldn't go out for my birthday dinner

It was just a clusterfuck of a day!

And so....

I did not do Mandy's Favourite Things Giveaway post... instead.... it will wait... maybe at Christmas, but probably sooner, I have some sweet stuff I got especially for the post ;)

October kills me!

Stress City - but November is coming and THAT will be amazing!!!

Anyhow, thanks again for all the birthday love - you made a long, tiring day a little brighter with your love <3

Stay Tuned for more posts as we enter Breaking Dawn promo season !

Breaking Dawn "Camping" Rules

Summit sent out these rules for the Breaking Dawn Premiere... Of course, their Ecipse rules were apparently not enforced, so let's see how this year rolls... Of course they just want publicity shots of crazed fans camped out for days - but if the line can't start until 6am Thursday and wristbands are issued then and there, wouldn't that mean that you could leave and return with wristband on event day? no?

And how the HALE are they going to keep people from milling about before 6am Thursday?
If I ruled the world - I would say line starts Thursday evening 6pm wristbands are given out... a day or two after... then you can leave until day of - that way they get their "promo" shots, fans get rest, everyone is happy - but this... this will not go smoothly ha ha

Here are their "Rules"

TWILIGHT Fans are allowed to begin lining up for camping in Tent City at NOKIA PLAZA L.A. LIVE at 6:00am PT on Thursday, November 10, 2011. No fans are allowed to line-up prior to that time.  The location and start of the official fan camp line will be set by Summit Event Security and all other non-official lines will not be recognized.

Overnight camping is allowed in designated areas only, starting in the Nokia Plaza. Please follow all directions advised by L.A. LIVE and Summit security. Please note, that special wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and each fan must be present to receive a wristband. Each wristband will be numbered and reserves a space in the Fan Viewing areas for the BREAKING DAWN – PART 1 Red Carpet arrivals in sequential order. Every individual who is granted access into Tent City will be entered into a database that matches them with their unique wristband number. The wristbands DO NOT enable access to the Movie Premiere.

Fans will be asked to change location as Premiere set up begins in the Nokia Plaza on Monday morning November 14 at 6:00am PT. This will be the only relocation during the camping event.

PARTIAL LIST OF RULES AND CODES OF CONDUCT:
·    ONLY Standard Sized Pop Tents will be allowed (4'x4' [16 sq. ft.] or less. No oversized tents, staked tents, etc., due to limited space)
·    ABSOLUTELY No Drugs or Alcohol allowed on premises
·    No Cooking On-Site or open flame
·    No horseplay. If anyone dumps food or beverages on another camper, they will be subject for removal
·    No amplified music. All music devices must be used with headset or earphone
·    Smoking in Designated Areas Only outside of the NOKIA Plaza boundaries
·    Fans are responsible for their own property. LA Live, AEG, nor Summit is responsible for any lost or stolen items
·    Everyone must please pick up after themselves. A fine will be enforced for anyone who litters on Nokia or LA City property
·    Please only use the restrooms designated for fans and respect the other area businesses
·    Guests must follow the rules and directions of L.A. LIVE Management/Summit Security at all times

THANK YOU for your cooperation and adherence to the above to help ensure a safe and entertaining experience for everyone!

WRIST BAND DETAILS AND EVENT DAY LINE UP TIMES

Twilight fans will be given wristbands starting at 6:00am PT on Thursday, November 10 2011. Wristbands MUST be worn until the premiere is over.
