American Hustle - Jennifer Lawrence steals the show!

I went to see American Hustle with my friend and I have to say, it was not what I expected. It had a very retro-indie feel to it, there were a lot of moments that seemed to fall a bit flat, but, the acting was second to none!

Christian Bale with a horrible comb-over, Jeremy Renner, Amy Adams and her almost breasts (not joking, she puts new meaning to the word "v-neck line"), Bradley Cooper with curls and a hilarious character, but honestly, the star of the entire film was Jennifer Lawrence. I don't just say that as one of her biggest fans, I say that in a legit way! Her character was hilarious and she pulled it off perfectly!

If you haven't seen the film, I suggest you do... it's not a must-see in theatre film, but it is a must-see soon film! Jennifer is amazing!

American Hustle Photo Call in NYC

Jennifer Lawrence is a beauty in blue as she poses at the American Hustle photo call at the Crosby Street Hotel on Sunday morning (December 8) in New York City.

The 23-year-old actress was joined in the pictures by her co-stars Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale, Amy Adams, and Jeremy Renner, as well as director David O. Russell.

FYI: Jennifer is wearing an Alexander McQueen dress, Lanvin shoes, Anita Co jewels, and Wolford tights.

Hunger Games Catching Fire Cast's favourite YA novels

EW readers are in the midst of a bitter battle to crown the greatest YA book of all time. So who better to influence your opinions than the cast of one of the most popular young adult series of the moment — The Hunger Games.

Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss): “Harry Potter. I was so crazy about Harry Potter I read it twice. All of them twice. I didn’t have a favorite, I thought they were all amazing.”At the London premiere for the upcoming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (in theaters Nov. 22), Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and more opened up about their favorite YA series.

Josh Hutcherson (Peeta): ”I kind of, unfortunately, stuck to what the school made me read. I didn’t get to step out of that zone. I had the opportunity but I just didn’t take advantage of it. But my favorite book growing up was probably Catcher in the Rye. I loved that; it’s a great book.”

Elizabeth Banks (Effie): ”It depends on my age. I guess for the same age as these guys, I was a big fan of the Flowers in the Attic series. I was not really allowed to read those, but I snuck them anyway. I love those books.”

Sam Claflin (Finnick): “Mate, I don’t read. That’s why I got into acting, so I wouldn’t have to read books. I basically played a lot of football growing up — or soccer, whatever you want to call it. Basically, any class at high school that I didn’t have to read or write [in], I got involved. So no, absolutely not, no favorite book or book series…My wife will tell you that I do not read. I literally read Lord of the Flies about a year ago, I’m not kidding. I think this is the third project that I’ve been involved that’s based on a book and, until this franchise, I hadn’t read a single one. But then I did read all three of these in five days.”

Jeffrey Wright (Beetee): ”I was a big fan of The Hardy Boys when I was in elementary school, primary school. So they were probably my favorite series…it’s really pretty cool that we’re part of this franchise that encourages kids to read, much like the Harry Potter series. It also encourages them to take into consideration some of the challenges that we face, contemporarily in society, issues of classism and war and all of those things that as the world gets more and more kind of daft in its interests, you know, that we can encourage younger audiences and younger minds through a popcorn movie to focus on and ask questions about these things. I think it’s a really healthy thing.”

Willow Shields (Prim): “I like any book by John Green. He’s my favorite author ever. He’s amazing. I love him. But right now, I’m reading the last Divergent book [by Veronica Roth], which is really exciting. I’m kind of nervous. I love those books, too.”

Francis Lawrence, director: “I’m not sure about book series. I remember loving — although I guess it might have been when I was a little younger — all the Roald Dahl books. Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, The Fantastic Mr. Fox. I remember those were the big books for me when I was a kid.”

Jon Kilik, producer: “The things that I think kids like about this are what I liked about Brave New World and Lord of the Flies and 1984. Those were the books I grew up with and that’s what I immediately connected with when I read [The Hunger Games]. I thought this could be that for kids today.”

Nina Jacobson, producer: “I was a huge fan of the Narnia series. I loved them and had the good fortune to get to make those when I was at Disney. I couldn’t get enough of those books when I was a kid.”

Catching Fire reviews are in.... and I am excited!

I am so excited to attend the premiere in L.A. next week, and these reviews make me even MORE excited...

Maybe we were distracted by Effie Trinket's special walk (or maybe it was Caesar Flickerman's cotton-candy hair), but we didn't see this coming: The first reviews of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" are in, and they're pretty much awesome across the board (with 14 reviews in so far, the film is currently registering a 93 percent approval rating on the aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes). In fact, many of them assert that not only is the franchise's second installment a solid film on its own, but also that it's leaps-and-bounds better than its predecessor.

Also, a new Catching Fire trailer will be revealed this Saturday at Comic-Con International - I will be there to share all the goodness I can!

What do you think of this still? I am in love with Peeta's hair. I love it. I usually don't like the slimey greased back look, but I have been really digging it on Justin Timberlake for example. Even the Beibs. there is something almost trendy about Peeta... sexy! Also loving Effie, as always... Katniss looks good too...

Anyhow... what do you think of the costumes and look?

I am loving all the Catching Fire character posters coming out - I mean, it is only March and we have 8 months still to go... gah!

No more nude Jennifer Lawrence in next X-Men

"I'm so excited because I'm going to wear a body suit," she told E!. "It will be from neck down so it will cut out time and the blisters."

A doctor had to be called to the set to treat her during filming of Matthew Vaughn's film.

The actress added that filming will begin around May.

"I haven't read the script yet," she said. "I haven't had 30 minutes. They literally gave me the script and I was like, 'I can't read this until Monday'."

I am so excited, I love X-Men and all the actors....

She will rejoin X-Men: First Class cast members James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult in the film.

Bryan Singer has also secured the return of Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore from the previous trilogy, with Halle Berry "90% sure" that she will also be back.

Game of Thrones Peter Dinklage will star as one of the film's villains.

Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence talks to MTV

MTV interviewed Francis Lawrence on Catching Fire:

On whether there are major changes from the book:
"No, not really, I would say that it’s a really faithful adaptation. You know, whenever you're adapting something that’s a 12- or 14-hour read down to something that has to be around two hours, there’s going to be some cuts. We definitely made some cuts. I don’t want to go into that, but we did it with Suzanne, and I would say that it’s very, very faithful. We tried to get as much as we could in there."

On the scenes he's most proud of:
"It's interesting because there’s a very small blur—I want to say it's a paragraph long in the book—but the moment in the arena when the gamemaker starts to spin the cornucopia, and I’m very proud of that. We designed a very cool sequence and created a spinning island, and that’s going to be very, very cool. So that’s kind of fun and very unique. I’ve never seen anything like it. It's cool.

"You know one of the very first things we shot that I like quite a lot is, there is sort of a goodbye before she goes into the arena with Liam that I like a lot. And it was actually—we shot it because we needed summer foliage and summer flowers and things like that. We actually shot it while we were in prep. Very first thing we sort of went out into the meadow, out in the mountains in north Georgia and shot this sequence over three or four hours or so, and I really like it. I think it’s really nice. Jennifer and Liam are really good in it. It’s very nice."

On whether those IMAX rumors are true:
"Yeah, the idea is that it’s sort of mixed formats. But yeah, that’s the idea is that the arena is in the IMAX format so that once you go in the elevator and it opens up."

On whether his actors' jovial natures ever lead to disruptions:
"You know what? I believe that the process could be fun, I just think that making movies is really tough. And it’s stressful as it is, and I think that most of us got in this business because it’s fun to make movies. I think it should stay fun. And it’s a really fun group and a very talented group. I would say only occasionally, maybe once or twice, did it get a little rowdy on set. We had to sort of clear everybody out because it is a little distracting. Or you just nicely say, 'Hey guys, why don’t we take this off the set and go somewhere else?' And I will say you go with that combo of Jen and Josh and Woody together and it can be mayhem."

On "Mockingjay":
"Nina, John, Suzanne and I have gone through the book and created the beat sheets for it. And started going through all that and at least marking our initial ideas of what the moments would be and how it all breaks down. And Danny Strong, who’s writing the first one, is working now. So yeah, we’ve actually done a fair amount of work. We're starting to think about where we could shoot it and all of that."

I really enjoyed the SAG Awards tonight. I liked the pro-union messages, the charitable work showcased and all the pretty people!

I was super impressed with Jennifer Lawrence's win and Anne Hathaway and Claire Danes....

Downton Abbby cast looked so shocked "Shut the french windows" ha ha

Argo win was good, Ben Affleck is amazing though I still have not seen the movie yet... I have heard great things! I also loved Ben's speech - I have loved his wife, Jennifer Garner since Alias.... which Bradley Cooper was also in by the way (his movie was nominated too and I was rooting for it, Silver linings playbook, for my own bias reasons....

I love jessica chastain, so it was nice to see her present and look back at those we lost this year.

I loved the intros "I am an actor" especially Sophia V from Modern Family... "thanks to these I always look like a hooker" ha ha

What were your fave moments from the SAG awards?

Jennifer Lawrence has Pneumonia....

It is award season and Jennifer Lawrence has been nominated for a number of awards and been on the go... at the last awards (Golden Globes I think) she was saying she would celebrate by going home to rest because she was sick.... looks like it was a good idea, she then came down with pneumonia...

US reports:

Get well, Jennifer Lawrence! The Silver Linings Playbook actress, 22, is dealing with a bout of pneumonia. Her costar in the acclaimed film, Jacki Weaver, announced Lawrence’s illness at the the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday, Jan. 26, where an absent Lawrence won the Best Actress trophy.
“I’m going to receive this on her behalf,” Weaver, 65, said at the podium. “Poor Jen is really sick. She really is sick. She has pneumonia.”

I just saw Silverlining Playbook and I loved it - what a cute and fun movie! Jennifer Lawrence was amazing in ti, Bradley Cooper was perfect and the whole story was just so excellent!

I can't wait for Catching Fire, but all the J/Law promo is making me happy and keeping me excited!
