Filming of Breaking Dawn continues

After filming Monday at the Orpheum Theatre, Rob and Kristen headed up to Squamish immediately where they will be for the next couple weeks filming scenes at the Cullen House and surrounding areas.

Judging by some tweets from other cast, the entire Cullen Clan is headed up there if they are not already.

Side Fact - One of Daniel Cudmore's first jobs was as a "petroleum technician" aka gas attendant at the Shell in Squamish.


Locals in Squamish spotted Rob & Kristen last night at a movie (Tuesday is cheap night at most theatres ha ha - cute)

Update on Breaking Dawn Filming

Puzzle pieces come together through all the technology and communication. Twitter is especially telling... yay for the internet.

I am grateful also to the people who send me updates since I can not be in Louisiana myself.

This week had some filming in Baton Rouge after some weekend shots in New Orleans.

My friend went to Arsenal Park in Baton Rouge the other day to see filming (non-Edward/Bella shots) and I am awaiting some photos of that.

Additionally I am told Kristen & Rob had a couple days off this week (maybe since she shot over the weekend? also scheduled scenes without them as we know there were volturi in town)

Seems yesterday they did some shots with Kristen being ill....

Also this week there were some shots of the Happy family; Renesme, Edward and Bella together sharing family moments...

This is all so exciting...

I hope to have photos for you next week from Louisiana as well as some local stuff if I have time over the weekend

HARRY POTTER and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Review

I went and saw Harry Potter and the Deathyl Hallows at midnight, because, let's face it, all real fans go at midnight ;)

Overall, I LOVED IT!

I laughed, I cried, I jumped in my seat, there was just so much greatness in this movie.

They split it at the exact moment that they should have. I had lost all track of time and just started recovering from an emotional part in the film when BAM something happened and I froze knowing it was the end - BAM credits... gah!! I want More!!!

Are they seriously going to make us wait for Part 2? Completely unfair!

I have so much more to say but there will be spoilers so do not read on unless you have seen the movie...

OK, let's get into specifics...

First, the chemistry is amazing. At this point, you would expect so, but Harry, Ron, Hermoine are so great together, and Rupert Grint made me laugh and connect... I felt his emotions, which is shocking! I can't believe how old they are, I mean you can see Daniel Radcliffe's 5 o'clock shadow! It's creepy watching the old films, they were such babies and now... they are old....

I wasn't comfortable with Harry and Hermoine parts. First of all, when Ron leaves, Hermoinei s sad. Harry tries to cheer her up and it seems awkward at first. They get close, the prepare to dance, it's almost too intimate.... then, luckily, Harry starts to shimmy and it immediately becomes funny and friendly and perfect. I get they are close, but ROn's fear that they are "closer" than just friends is perpetuated inthe viewers eyes by about 5 seconds of "oh my god no..."

Later, (again if you haven't seen it I will make this broad enough to not spoil it, but if you have seen it you know exactly what I am talking about).... there is a "vision" Ron has that involves Harry and Hermoine and they are all sparkly and creepy and that entire clip was just so wrong. I felt sick ha ha. I get it's purpose, but it was really uncomfortable to watch. I mean everyone sees Harry and Hermoine as sibling like and so any hints at romance seems gross right?

Anyone else?

I loved the effects, the flashbacks, I am anxious to see it on IMAX, I feel that like Eclipse, it won't fair as well on IMAX because of the fast flashes and action. This may make it difficult to catch everything on such a large screen, however, as you will know if you follow my blog and read my Eclipse IMAX review, I love sceneic landscapes on IMAX and Deathly Hallows has quite a few of these scenes which will play out very beautifully on IMAX i think!

I will see IMAX next weekend after going to the Harry Potter Exhbition in Seattle *squee*

OK, more bits and pieces from me...

I wanted more Draco and more Snape. Part 2.... can't wait!

It was strange seeing so much Voldemort. I guess at this stage, we need do, but he was talking and so much more human-like... which, again, is good as far as plot and so on, but it just took me a moment to adjust.

Loved seeing the photo of Jamie Campbell Bower as Gellert Grindelwald. Can't wait for more.

Clémence Poésy as Fleur DelaCour was cool because I FINALLY put two and two together and realized she was Eva from Gossip Girl!

Loved Harmoine's wardrobe.

Enjoyed the subtle changes int he film to keep the movie going, mostly minor, mostly won't effect overall plot. As you may recall from my Dear John Review, when books to movies make stupid changes I flip out... these changes are not drastic and they work well.

I loved the PolyJuice (the Potion that you drink to look like someone else) It was used well in the opening of the film, which was hilarious to see all the Harry's... half naked ha ha and again when the three go into the Minsitry. I especially loved Ron's kiss - - - that's all I will say.

The Weasly Twins are awesome, always and awesome meeting Bill Weasley finally...

I liked that they clearly explained the Deathly Hallows and told the story of the Three Brothers. I do wish they got into the Horcruxes a bit more but I guess that focus will be in the next part.

The Patronus was awesome and I imagine they will do a flash back to that scene when it is addressed in Part 2 if you know what I am saying ;)



What am I missing??? So much greatness!!

Q&A with Daniel Cudmore at Vancouver Twilight Convention

Q&A with Daniel Cudmore.
Daniel arrived looking sexy in his hat. He truly is so tall and sexy. A friend said he reminded her of Dane Cook in his hat and with all his quirky humour.

Charlie Bewley couldn't make it as scheduled and asked Daniel to tell us he was very sorry. I was sad that Charlie didn't make it, however, I had been tweeting Dan all week asking him to come so I was really thrilled to see him there, especially since he is local!

I remember in Seattle he and Charlie were SO funny together, but I enjoyed him solo as he didn’t have Charlie stealing the spotlight ;) ha ha!

Please understand he jokes a lot so it may not come across reading the words but I assure you in person we were all laughing and having a great time!

Here is a summary of what Dan talked about in Vancouver:

- He has done more movies and films than telelvision.

- His fave place in Vancouver is biking on the sewall, except for walkers in the bike lane

- He originally auditioned for the role of the “biker” Bella meets after the movies. He got a call back that he missed and so when he did go in he still had no idea he was doing a 2nd audition but for a new character, Felix. He did a cold read and the rest is history.

- His fave Twilight book is Eclipse because of the battle scenes. It used to be New Moon because he would read it and say “ooh sweet there I am”

- He loved seeing the fight scenes and the wolves. He joked about if he was a wolf he’s truly be a GIANT wolf

- He doesn’t have a favourite colour. He could say blue but then green would be all “what’s up?” He said rainbow before (It was in Seattle, I recall) and Charlie made fun of him (In Seattle this happened, of course rainbow is the symbol of gay pride, so Charlie pretended to be frisky with Daniel, I posted photos and story here) So now he just says he doesn’t have a favourite colour.

- If he could be a different Volturi it would be Jane. He’s sick of her always picking on everyone and would like to not be a giant vampire who always gets beat up by a girl.

- He said it was really hot in Italy and he feared he would pass out.

- Makeup wasn’t too bad it only took an hour or so but the contacts made it hard to see in your peripherals so he worried he would accidentally really hit Rob and knock him out.



- The stunt guy for Rob in New Moon was actually a friend of Dan’s and he had bruises from being thrown around a lot. He said there was a space just the right size for his head when he threw him down and was thankful he didn’t miss. Dan says they are still friends – phew!

- If he could go back and tell himself something he says he wouldn’t change a thing, then he jokes “maybe a few nights I should have just gone home” He then reconsiders “maybe to eat a bunch of junk food and stunt my growth so I would get more roles” Awwn… he mentioned in Seattle also that his height actually hinders him in acting because he is often told he is “too tall” for a role.

- He says he isn’t noticed too much and usually flies under the radar. Mostly people will just stare with that look like “Where do I know him from?” and if it’s in Vancouver, especially when his hair is grown out, they assume he is a hockey player.

- He won’t share any juicy stories about Charlie Bewley because he says it would only start a war and Charlie would retaliate with juicy stories about him and he doesn’t want that. He does say that Charlie makes him laugh, they get along great and he has a ginormous head, not necessarily in an egotistical way but in the actual size of his melon.

- If he could be a woman for one day he would go to naked yoga (Hey Daniel, you can come as you are, we won’t mind!)

- Any nicknames? “Cuddles” he says, though his brother got it too and he isn’t very cuddly. (It has to be because of their last name Cudmore) He says he used to be a short, chubby kid but then he started growing and didn’t stop. It was like his arms and legs were stretched and he was clumsy like a deer on ice (Awn Bambi)

- A Fan asked about White Spot (a restaurant) and he jokes about their “Triple – O sauce”

- Before acting his fave job was as a “petroleum flow engineer” aka gas attendant. He worked in Squamish which is a party town and he would literally work 3 hours shifts after school then go party at the lake with people he had met coming through on their way to party.

- Upcoming Projects? Indie Film A Night for Dying Tigers directed by Terry Miles. (I looked into this, he plays Dave and co-stars include L-Word’s Jennifer Beals and the original 90210’s “Claire” actress, Kathleen Robertson)

- He loved the cast, he says Dakota is 16 but so much more mature than he is, Sheen is amazing to watch because he is so professional and talented. He said Charlie and him are very close, Cam is cool Jamie is funny and always happy and Chris is a blast. He said the Volturi are like a “cool little family”

- When asked about where to shoot Breaking Dawn he said obviously he loves Vancouver but he doesn’t know or decide those things.

- He grew up in Squamish and went to Howe Sound Secondary. He says there were no sports because noone wanted to come all the way out to their small town for a game, so he took a lot of drama.

- His dream role would be a remake of Spaceballs or a wacky comedy with Jack Black or Will Ferell. He isn’t sure he could do it because everytime Will Ferell looked at him with his beady lil eyes he’d probably crack up laughing. (For the record, Dan is so funny I would LOVE to see him in a comedy!)



- When asked where he shops he says “Not Big & Tall, I don’t wear sweater vests” He says he loves Australian stores because they have stuff that fits him. He wants real jeans not capris but stores in Vancouver look at him crazy when he asks for 36 length or size 14 shoes. (Yes ladies, size 14!)

- He loved the wire work in Eclipse, he was floating around, which was cool but his feet would drag or get caught on everything, meanwhile Dakota would start floating sideways and just keep going so professional despite being spun around the wrong way

- He says Rob is funny and Kristen is a sweetheart, both are very cool and down to earth.

- He had a nice conversation with fans about toxic candy like the ones that make your mouth bleed but you are thinking “yum” (flying saucers) or the giant gobstoppers you used to jam in your mouth and suck on then wrap in tissue which would always lead to picking off bits of tissue before you ate it again, or eating tissue.

- He watched Friends, but he doesn’t own the box set…. So he had to think about his fave “Friends” moment – he chose Ross and the leather pants. It reminded him of his outfit in X-Men, to which a fan asked “wasn’t that spandex?” ha ha “No I don’t look good in spandex, it was leather”
- Dan (sadly) is not single… though he did say “I am not single but I am also not married” ha ha

-He hasn’t done stand-up comedy but would like to – or as he says “maybe sit down comedy” ha ha The crowd thinks he should do I t- he had us laughing the entire time!

Official Twilight Convention - Vancouver's Day 2 - Saturday

After a fantastic first day I was ready for Saturday, Day 2 of Creation Entertainment’s Official Twilight Convention.

Hillywood opened again, they are such fantastic hosts. Even though “Bella” was sick, you couldn’t tell she was such a trooper.

Cameron Bright did his Q&A first. It was his first appearance at the convention and he did such a fantastic job. Something about Cameron Bright really appeals to fans. He is so down to earth and real. A true “island boy” (Vancouver Island) he is relaxed, casual, friendly and polite.

What I was looking forward to was Leslie Graham, a local make-up artist who worked on New Moon and Eclipse. I had interviewed her Friday night and learned even more during her Q & A.

Another first, Jodelle Ferland appeared for her Q & A. I must say she is so cute. She is young and talented but in person, so endearing.

Twilight Lexicon did a panel on their experience at Oprah for the Eclipse Screening as well as how the taping went and what we didn’t see on television. It was awesome to hear all the details.

While Cameron Bright & Jodelle Ferland did autographs and photo sessions I whipped out for some lunch. The weekend is so action-packed I had to take a break and be sure to eat. When I returned there was more videos playing with exclusive footage.

A neat add-on at the convention was the private meet & greets. There were some available for individual cast (I met some girls who had an hour with Kiowa and Bronson) as well as a VIP Package some ladies had which got them intimate meet & greets with all appearing cast. How awesome eh?

Charlie Bewley had to cancel last minute because of filming but Daniel Cudmore came in his place and fans were thrilled to see him. Besides being absolutely tall, he is absolutely funny and undoubtedly sexy!

Although all cast had autograph signing and photo opportunities, I only made it to one and it was with Cameron Bright, Jodelle Ferland and Cameron Bright in a group photo opportunity which to me sounded best anyway.

I helped with the auction and saw some great deals with autographed glossy prints, merchandise, banners and other items going into various bidding wars. It was exciting and I got a Spartans Forks Wa Highschool Bookbag for helping - sweet deal!

That night I had planned a group dinner and invited anyone who wanted to come via twitter, my blog and in person at the convention. The ladies from Twilight Lexicon joined us as well as fans who were enjoying the convention. We had a great time talking about everything Twilight as well as crodd-over vampire loves such as Buffy. Afterwards, a group of us went to Chapters to pick up “Black Dagger Brotherhood” books.

Back at the hotel we prepared for the Volturi Ball and enjoyed a fantastic evening.

The Trivia winners had been made over with awesome make-up and hair and got to dance with the celebrities.

Hillywood hosted and did photo ops with everyone and taught us part of their dance from the New Moon Parody.

There were prizes for best centerpiece, best dancer, best costume, best dancer doing the Hillywood routine and just hundreds of dollars in cash prizes and merchandise gift certificates.

There were snacks, soda, water and a cash bar. Kiowa sang for us and danced in the crowd.

Everyone had a great time and looked absolutely fabulous. I got a few photos with the cast mates but I will just post this one because Daniel is so incredibly sexy...

I was so tired after a long day I fell asleep quickly, anxious for Day 3 with Cameron Bright once again and Peter Facinelli.

Twilight Cast to appear at Oceana Naval Exchange

Three hundred people won a drawing to have their photo taken with a cast member from the 2009 movie, “New Moon.” It turns out there will be five cast members from the “Twilight” series at the event at the Oceana Naval Exchange on Wednesday. Appearing at the event from noon to 2 p.m. are Nikki Reed (“Rosalie”), Alex Meraz (“Paul”), Daniel Cudmore (“Felix”), Christian Serratos (“Angela”) and Tyson Houseman (“Quil”). Though the drawing winners were chosen Saturday, the in-store appearance is open to the public.

Charlie Bewley & Daniel Cudmore Summary from Seattle TwiCon

Daniel Cudmore & Charlie Bewley did a Q & A Session together Saturday morning at Seattle Twilight Convention.

I was walking in as they did and saw them - my impression was:

#1 - Yup, Daniel is still tall.
#2 - Charlie's hair is even sexier today.

Seriously Sexy!

I had met them both while they were filming Eclipse in Vancouver, though it was fairly brief, so I was looking forward to seeing more of them during this Q & A.

Luckily I was sitting front and center and even had some interaction with both of them - rawr!

Here is a summary of what they talked about. I warn you that Charlie often goes off on tangents and the two of them are very playful and joke around quite a bit!

When asked about their bad habits Dan said his New Year Resolution is often to eat less sour candies. He will tell himself "Only $1 worth" but ends up with $6. He will put it in a high cupboard so he can't reach it, but, he's 6.7" so that doesn't work either ha.

Charlie jokes Banana with peel on - then refers to the Banana Man cartoon most of the audience hasn't heard of. He says his "bad habit" is procrastination.

Wolf Pack vs Cullens - Dan would rather be Wolf Pack, run shirtless through the forests. Vampires wear runing shoes and he jokes about pumping them up "pump pump pump - oops too much swoosh" (old school pump shoes for those of you lost)

They say as volturi they are just doing what vampires do, drink blood.... not like the "Vegan-Facinelli-Rubbish" He wouldn't want to go hunt deer in Italian gear... unless it was Niek Tracksuits, like a volturi mafia.

Over asked question - Dan says "How tall are you?" then "Did youplay basketball?" which he didn't to which people often say "Well why not?" Dan says he should start asking short people "How short are you? Are you a jockey? Why not?"

Eclipse Fight Scene was aprox 5 days rehersing and 5 days filming 12 hour days.

Daniel would like Edward's Hair, he pokes fun of his hair and points to the banner. He and Charlie banter about hair.

They asked my question to Daniel "Were you worried fans would dislike you for beating up Edward" ;) He said he felt he was doing a good job if they did dislilke him.

They discussed Italy behind the scenes fun sich as Mozzerella Parties and being hung over from Mozzarella. They spent 8 days in Italy and were mostly confined to their area, not a lot of site seeing. Dan talked about the car he had which was smaller than the original mini coop. He joked if he had a bad parallel parking job he could probablypick it up and place it in the parking spot correctly.

Daniel would love to be any character that meant he could work with Will Ferell, though he thinks it would be hard because he would just laugh the whole time. Charlie would love to play a character that was really deep and emotional... or a spin-off about Demirtri.

Daniel wears contacts already so the volturi ones weren't too much trouble, he hates contacts as a whole but wears them everyday. Charlie felt he was instantly dangerous with them on, just like sweet innocent Dakota Fanning.

Upcoming work - Dan has an indie film for February, Charlie has auditioned butnot booked anything yet. He discusses the value of star power and the amount of hard work you need to put into it.

Fave Holiday - Daniel says Halloween, he and friends dressed as Divo - "Whip it" Charlie thought it meant a vacation holiday and said Tokoyo, but was corrected and said Christmas because he can indulge in family, food, emotions, friends, all the things he misses out on usually.

When asked what they would change about their characters Charlie said restraint and Dan said hair. They joked about havnig Kate Gosselin hair or pink pony tails. Joked that when we saw Eclipse we may enjoy the pink pony tail hair Felix is sporting.

A Fan asked about Demitri's "Fierce and driven" character. Charlie had them clarify then suggested Demitri is bored and always seeking action but has charm, sort of like "hey, guys, come with me.... we are nic3e guys" like a good cop/bad cop between Felix and Demitri. Said they love the characters as much, maybe more, than fans do.

Audition process was very fast. Charlie had tried for Marcus also. Daniel had recently lost out to a few roles and had actually auditioned for the "motorcycle guy Bella rides with in Port Angeles" and didn't even know if he could make it back for the call-back because of a job he was doing but managed to go in thinking he'd be a biker and was actualy cast as a vampire and thought "wait - what?" cool!

Charlie said it was falttering that the Cullens wanted to kill him more than any other volturi and he also discussed how when he auditioned he had almost no hair so he took one little piece and swirled it down, like the old school vampires had the "peak" and he thinks that may have influenced his hair style for the movie. Personally, I adored the hair he was sporting at TwiCon. Rawr.

A fan said she loved him, so Charlie replied "me or Demitri?" and she said him, so he said "well I love Demitri so it's a love triangle"

Daniel never had a favourite colour so he likes rainbows. Charlie likes gold and teases Daniel for loiking rainbows.

Charlie teases me offering to throw his water bottle at me. The girl behind me gets excited and wants it. He then teases some fans across the room (while Daniel is talking) and they want the water bottle. He finally tosses it to the crowd.

For open questions in the end they walked around the crowd. Charlie also acted as Demirtri and pretend choked Hillywood Alice. Daniel spoke at the podium for fun and they lounged on the stage.

Overall - excellent, funny time - and a giant reminder on how sexy Charlie is

What I love about this video is that I was in the front and was the one who shouted out "Collosus" to which Daniel Cudmore then started to talk about "No, I'm not going to say my own character.." tee hee.

Seattle Weekend Quickie

So many photos, stories and stuff to blog about.

I am back after a very enjoyable weekend.

I went down to Seattle Friday morning with @nucksgrl and @jbyrnes13 and we had a blast.

Friday we were at Twi Con in Seattle and we saw the Hillywood people, Peter Facinelli's Q&A as well as Twilight Lexicon's panel. Got to meet tons of new people, see old friends and put faces to twitter names.

In the evening we even acted as back-up dancers for the wonderful Candace Charee'

While backstage before the show we got to chat with the amazing Chaske Spencer and Peter Facinelli.

After a long day and late night we headed to a friends to crash.

Saturday morning we were back at Twi Con and saw Charlie Bewley and Daniel Cudmore from the front row and then went for lunch and shopping at the local mall.

We returned for the Auction (so much fun!) and Chaske Spencer's Q & A. We were lucky to again sit front row.

We had to leave after that and went shopping, visited, then went to a friends for Games Night where we had some drinks, laughs and games.

This morning we were up, slowly, and headed home.

Tonight was 100 Monkey's in Vancouver, which was amazing, I will put pics and video's up tomorrow.

I am uploading photos from the weekend and videos from tonight and hope to get them posted by tomorrow afternoon at the latest, so check back often.
