RObert Pattinson filming Water for Elephants in Georgia

Robert Pattinson films new scenes in Georgia for his latest movie "Water for Elephants" in which he co-stars with Oscar winning actress Reese Witherspoon. The British actor filmed scenes outside a farmhouse in rural Georgia where he can be seen getting out of a vintage Ford and leaving his family wearing a tweed suit and bow tie

Robert Pattinson filming Water for Elephants in Georgia has drawn in a lot of fans. I know quite a few fans who have taken a few days off to drive over to the area. I also have been getting emails from friends who were there. One got to see Rob, though she didn't get to talk to him / he couldn't come over to say hi. Once she sends photos I will post.

Good Luck to all the fans near the set - I hope Rob comes out to say hello.

100 Monkey's Vancouver - July 30, 2010

Let's get to the basics:

The Show Rocked! It was so good to have them back in Vancouver. I really loved seeing them again!!!

They played a ton of classic faves (ha classic, like from the last album and their singles) and some new stuff also so it was a good mix of stuff to hear.

There were 4 fedora's going around and 2 headbands... ha it's always strange seeing them come out on stage with dry, clean, flowing hair at the start, because they do some much running around between instruments by the end they are all a hot, sweaty, mess - the head bands and fedora's help ;)

At one point Jackson had 2 fedora's on and my friend Nat and I were making fun... I mean how many fedoras does one band need? ;)

THey all had tons of energy and were so interactive - like always!

They didn't play "Keep Awake" which I was upset about since they ALSO didn't play it last time - but there were plenty of other faves to keep me happy!

The traditional improv song was based on the word:

PLEASURE

I have to tell you, hearing Jackson sing "ooh my pleasure ooh" repeatedly was a PLEASURE for everyone I think.... seriously! Sexy!

It was a good crowd, though not sold out....

Mostly girls, a few men in the crowd and I think a couple were even straight!!!

Lot's of estrogen and screams as per usual but the funniest was at the very end of the show when Jackson went up to the mic and did this "squee" which was HILARIOUS but clearly imintating some of the girls there - hilariously cute!

What I really love about 100 Monkey's is not just their talent and the way they move around and trade instruments showcasing their multi-talented skills, and not just the high energy and interaction they provide their fans, but the facial expressions as they sing - ha!

Jackson gives those "come eff me" eyes and smiles with those dimples and it is amazing... Ben G grins that giant mouthed grin and it is awesome... Jerad smirks and it is cute.... You don't get too much from Ben who is mostly on drums or singing and Uncle Larry you can't even see his eyes to know if he is awake or just pounding those drums as he sleeps - I swear he could play in his sleep, he is so amazing!

But the expressions from Jerad, Jackson and Ben G are so animated - it draws you in.

You will see in my videos some of those sexy eyes and expressions I am talking about in case you haven't had the privvy to see them yet or if you somehow didn't notice what I am referring too.

Anyways, tonight was fantastic, great to see so may girlies I adore and rock out with some great music.

Stephenie Meyer talks about waiting for marriage for "Happy Time" *ahem sex*

Here is another bit of chatter from Stephenie Meyer when she met with the Twilight Fansites in June. This is from TwiFans and explores "sex" and the morals and positive message from Twilight.

---------------------------------------------------

Waiting for marriage is the condition, you hussy, Bella!

Stephenie Meyer conjured up the morally ethical vampire, Edward Cullen. So who better to ask why? Why is he so good at keeping Bella's virtue intact? Why is it so important - really?

Twifans.com: Stephenie Meyer discusses why Edward Cullen wants to make Bella wait until marriage by twifans

Transcript
Q: I’m curious about Eclipse because at the point where…I love Eclipse because Edward becomes a lot more flirtatious, and you get to kinda see that.

SM: They have some moments, which are hard to do with fiction because everybody wants constant pacing. I tend to slow down. A lot of what my editors did was cut. Because I just wanna sit and “Let’s have a nice moment. Let’s have a happy time.”

Q: One of the most “nice moments” is when they’re in Edward’s room in bed, and he proposes, okay? There are lots of people that have asked questions, I’ve probably had 10 or 20 just within that one scene. But the one I want the answer to the most is: Edward at one point, he kind-of caves. Just a smidge. When he says “no, no, stop, we’re not doing this until we are married” — is it more out of a moral issue, or is it more out of “I want to make sure you keep up your end of the deal”?

SM: They’re equal parts. There are a couple of things. One is, Edward was born in 1901. And in his mind — he understands the world more clearly than we do. He hears everybody’s thoughts. But to him, this is kind of a…for him it’s a very disrespectful… And he can’t get away from the taboos of his youth. It would be wrong to take advantage of her, in his mind. And obviously, she has a completely different viewpoint. Her viewpoint of it is very modern. She knows that she is with him forever, and she doesn’t see his point. But he just comes from a different place. And I really like, every place I could put in, that would really date him. Because I like when he is…..109.

Q: Chivalrous!

SM: When he’s different, because he has a lot of different experiences. Part of it is, he is stalling for time. He wants to string the…..because there is that part of him that knows it would be better if she went with Jacob. For her, in his mind. He never foresees her being a happy vampire. In his mind, it’s all the Rosalie reaction. He just thinks she will be miserable and there will be so much pain, for her. He wants her to be happy, so he thinks “the longer we string this along, maybe she is going to change her mind, maybe she’ll say yeah, I wanna stay human, I’ll do this.” And then there is just absolutely the physical fear. Because he is really worried about that part of it. The pain of becoming a vampire is not a joke! All this timing, the way I envision it, it’s a big deal. Some say “just bite her, just bite her.” Wouldn’t that just give you so much pause? It’s like you want your husband or your loved one — you want him to be like you, but you’re going to have to torture him for three days. It’s a long time for anyone and bad enough that it went on for three days. It’s a huge deal. That’s a big thing for him. Even knowing that she’ll get over it and it will pass…those three days are a gigantic hurdle.

Q: Do you think that the way that she fears…the fact that before she’s going to turn, she thinks “well what if after I turn, I’m not going to love him anymore or I’m not going to feel the same way?” Does he ever fear that at any time?

SM: Oh, he fears that. He does. She doesn’t much, because she feels that, ya know, “I’m gonna love you forever,” and he knows that things change. And after having just gone through this horrible thing, there could be part of her that turns around and says “you did this to me. I just went through all this horrible stuff because of you. Now my family is going to die, and I’m going to have to watch that.” He just only sees the negative. A lot of him becoming an optimist is, her reaction to being a vampire and seeing…she was right.

----------------------------------------------------

Did you sit watching Eclipse thinking, wow Edward Cullen is quite the gallant gentlemen to guard Bella's virtue? Did you feel a lovely dovey after-school-special message when Edward put the kabash on aggressive Bella?

We wanted to know if she saw the same thing we did and what her thoughts were about that.

P.S. We love aggressive Bella. You go girl. No lie, it's nothing we all wouldn't of tried!

Twifans.com asks Stephenie Meyer how she feels about Eclipse sending a good message to girls (PSA) by twifans

Transcript
Alison: We both have teenage girls.

SM: I’m sorry.

(laughter, chatter)

Alison: The virginity talk in Eclipse is one of our favorites; we were rolling. But…Did you….I almost feel like there’s almost a PSA that comes through in the movie.

SM: I wish it didn’t. I do see that.

Alison: That’s what I want to know.

SM: I feel like people take it as a message. When again, this was something that was just….I wanted Edward’s character to feel of that period. Ya know, he is a different character than a modern character. He is not the same. And I wanted that. He had all these motivations. And to top it, that was fun to write. Ya know, I was surprised, actually, that my editors didn’t have more of a problem with it. But it’s something that people actually could say if people were coming from those two mindsets. And there are people of both mindsets in the world right now, and it felt very real to me. It was never meant to be…none of it’s ever meant to be. I hate it when it comes through PSA.

Q: Are you saying that in the movie, it comes across as PSA?

Alison: Yeah. But for my thirteen- and sixteen-year-old daughters to watch it, I was like, “See?? You gotta marry the guy!”

SM: I don’t like for people to feel like this is anything to apply to your life. One thing is I have had letters from people who’ve said that, you know, who had somewhat abusive boyfriends, and after seeing a character like Edward said “love doesn’t do that”. And in that case, take it as a PSA and run with it. Leave the guy. That’s fantastic. I’m glad for that.

Kim: I like that it’s brought back that outdated concept.

SM: I’m an outdated person, I’m LDS as well, so it was…I mean….I am in some ways, from that earlier time period. And to me, that’s real life. And that’s something that can be very realistic. I do think that there are people who haven’t had experience with that in their life, like they aren’t part of that world. They think it’s very crazy, like “This is nothing anyone would say.” But guess what, those conversations really do happen. It isn’t foreign to everyone.

SM: I enjoy the religion philosophy, because it is so many people. And I don’t know the religion of…I know one or two authors that people have told me, “Oh yeah, so this is--” I don’t know that.

Q: I never knew you were Mormon when I read the books.

SM: It does bother me because that never really--

SM: Jon Stewart had, but no one said, “Jewish father of two” …oh well, you have to roll with it, you have to be honest…

(chatter)

Choreographer: Nakul dev Mahajan
Song: “Ganesh” – from “Bombay Dreams” (by AR Rahman who did Slumdog Millionaire, fyi)

I love Bollywood routines.... they are just so exotic - Robert and Billy are both amazing... I don't want either to win because I think they are fabulous and will be successful on their own...

Overall a great episode - I choose Kent to Win, Lauren 2nd... Billy and Robert to go on and be successful world-wide while Kent goes on to be successful on boradway...

Jose and Adechike go home tomorrow I think, though Robert has ended up on the bottom far too often...

Time will tell

What do you think? Predictions?

Nigel Lithgoe mentions American Idol on So You Think You Can Dance - oops

Well, watching SYTYCD tonight and couldn't believe hearing Nigel's slip of the tongue - - - "American Idol"

Wait - What?

I don't know how I hadn't heard this news yet - I guess I really am working too much - but here is the latest news:

Two years after he quit, Nigel Lythgoe may be set to return to 'American Idol,' and word is that he's ready to clean house.

According to 'The Hollywood Reporter,' "Nasty Nigel" is close to signing a deal with Fox to be named executive producer. It's reportedly part of the network's "master plan to reboot the show" following declining ratings and mega-judge Simon Cowell's recent departure. And the seats at judges' table are, it would seem, ALL up for grabs under a new regime.

Execs have been scrambling to fill Cowell's chair with a high-profile music industry insider, and the many names so far linked with the spot have included Sean Combs, Quincy Jones, Bret Michaels and Harry Connick, Jr.

The previous front runner was thought to be singer Chris Isaak, but it's now rumored that at the top of 'American Idol' chief Simon Fuller's wishlist are Elton John and Justin Timberlake. And that although Fuller's been after Elton John for some time -- so far unsuccessfully -- Lythgoe could be the one to sign him, or even him and Timberlake.

But what happens to the current judges? Lythgoe told a reporter in April that if he was in charge at 'American Idol' he'd replace all of them, and he also criticized the decision to up the number of judges from three to four, saying it was "distracting" for the viewers. He's on record as saying that his choice as judges would be: Elton John (him again), Paula Abdul and Usher.

Rumors have been circulating for weeks that Fox and Fuller want to get rid of all the judges, and it's been noted that newbie Kara DioGuardi's one-year-at-a-time deal hasn't yet been renewed, and that Randy Jackson's only got one year left on his contract. Getting rid of Ellen DeGeneres could be tricky as she signed a multi-year deal with Fox, and a source close to her says she's prepared to fulfill her contract with 'American Idol.'

Originally a dancer and choreographer, Lythgoe worked his way through the TV industry in the U.K. until in 2000 he became famous as the outspoken head judge on talent show 'Popstars.' He later worked with Simon Fuller to create the hit show 'Pop Idol,' which they turned into a worldwide TV franchise, including 'American Idol.' Lythgoe ran the show for seven seasons before he left to launch 'So You Think You Can Dance,' where he's also a judge. So far there's been no word on whether he'll have a seat at the revamped 'Idol' judges' table.

But the clock's ticking to get it all wrapped up. 'American Idol' auditions have already begun taping with the current judges in place and Peter Rice, new entertainment chairman at Fox, said that he expects the new judge (or judges?) to be out on the auditions roadshow in early September. Lythgoe and Fuller are also up against Simon Cowell in the race to sign celebrity judges as he's launching 'The X Factor' in the U.S. next year.

The tenth season of 'American Idol' is due to premiere on Fox in January 2011.

'The X Factor' is slated to debut on Fox in September 2011.

Well, there you have it - who would you choose as judges?

I'd lose Randy Jackson, he can focus on ABDC and keep Ellen, for now.... Kara can go too - she annoys me... and Simon is gone so who is up? I like the idea of Usher or JT but I just can't see them doing it - the judging seems to go to has-been artists like Paula Abdul... i dunno... am I wrong?

List your Top 3 picks for American Idol judges IF you had the final say?

Lee Pace Rumoured to be cast in Breaking Dawn as Garrett

Eclipse is still in theaters, but rumors are already swirling about potential casting for Breaking Dawn.

On Tuesday, Lee Pace entered the discussion.

An E! Online report claims the former “Pushing Daisies” star is “thisclose” to being cast as a vampire in Breaking Dawn. Specifically, Pace would play Edward Cullen’s pal Garrett, who has “a lightness and element of humor about him.”

“Lee is the top person in the running to play Garrett,” E! quotes a source as saying.

Gossip Cop suspected it was premature to call Pace — or anyone else — “thisclose” to the role, and it looks like we were right.

A production source tells Gossip Cop no one has been cast, and a rep for Pace informs us the actor has not been approached.

X-Men First Class casts Twilight's Edi Gathegi

According to Deadline.com:

Edi Gathegi, who played a chillingly evil vampire in Twilight and Twilight Saga: New Moon, is joining X-Men: First Class in the role of Darwin. That character, the first bi-racial mutant (in the comic series), has the power of "reactive evolution," which allows him to adapt to any situation or environment. Plunged underwater, he'll grow gills, he'll gain night vision in pitch black and his skin grows fire retardant when burned.
