Merry Christmas early December... Eclipse dvd and Bel Ami release

COme early December there will be two places to see Robert Pattinson... Eclipse dvd and Bel Ami film.....

The retailer is listing the film for release on 6th December 2010, which would presumably point to a US release on either 30th November or 7th December. Thus far, it's just listing a two-disc Fan Edition of the film, and the Blu-ray release too.

Protagonist Pictures, the company responsible for sales of distribution rights, has listed on their website that Bel Ami is in post-production and has a deliver date of December 2010. We speculate that this deliver date was chosen so that Bel Ami could be nominated for awards in 2010.

Booboo Stewart's "Rainy Day" Music Video

OMG I actually LOVE IT!!!

I was expecting something slow, folky, but this is rad!!!

Taylor Lautner on set of Abduction - videos

Inception Tomorrow

This movie looks amazing!

I wish I went to the screening Wednesday, but I am content with having attended Mr Nobody which I loved.

TOmorrow I am going with the fam-bam to see Karate Kid and Inception at the lo9cal drive-in theatre.

Two movies (usually three on weekends but not this time due to run time of both movies) for the price of one and you can sit in your car and be a tommy texter without anyone complaining mwahahaha

sometimes we sit outside but the bugs annoy me so the car is usually where we end up by first movies previews

ANYWAYS - I saw some Joseph Gordon-Levitt on Fallon tonight and Ellen Page on Letterman last night (still hate Letterman) and got even more excited about this movie. I haven't read any reviews or spoilers because I want to just go in and enjoy it on my own terms you know?

SO - - - I will see it tomorrow and blog about it Sunday if I am not too exhausted or qoozy from donating blood... the last time I did it I was so dizzy - plan to eat lot's and be stronger this time ha!

One for the Money - Stephanie Plum Movie filming in PA

I love Janet Evanovich. I have read many of the Stephanie Plum series but take breaks between each because I don't want them to end - ever.

If you haven't read them please do.

I don't usually choose detective fiction or mystery books, however, in University I took a course that specialized in Women in Detective Fiction (why ? If I don't usually like mystery novels? because I took literally EVERY SINGLE English Lit class my university offered - little known fact about moi - but let's move on)

Besides reading a ton of novels from various eras (including Agatha Christie, Dorothy L Sayers, and others) my professeur was incredibly passionate about this genre of novels.

She easily got me interested and although I never thought I'd enjoy them, I read and loved every book. SOmething about trying to solve the crime and going through it from a females perspective was interesting.

By far, my most favourite of the authors was Janet Evanovich, who's series about the young Stephanie Plum had be actually laughing along and staying up late to finish.

Long after I graduated University I kept reading the books....

When I first heard they were making a movie I was excited. Some co-workers and I started "casting"

Our pick for Stephanie Plum would have been Sandra Bullock.

Unfortunately, Katherine Heigl was cast.... not feeling it...

WE cast all the characters but it was back in April and I can't even recall who we had chosen to be honest .... Queen Latifa for Lula....

IMDB lists:

Katherine Heigl ... Stephanie Plum

Daniel Sunjata ... Ranger

Jason O'Mara ... Joe Morelli

Patrick Fischler ... Vinnie Plum

Cristina Aloe ... Connie

The movie doesn't come out til 2012 but they are filming in Pittsburgh currently. Seems like a long time eh?

**Edit - as commented below - 2011 is actual release date? I hope so

Mel Gibson

I haven't blogged because it is just so lame.... after 5 different tapes were released I just felt sick - this guy is a maniac.

Now there is word that SHE baited him, tried to extort him for millions, chipped her own tooth, lied...

um - - -

I don't care if she tried to extort him honestly, he is a lunatic!

On the tape he says "you deserved it" when she reminds him (baiting I am sure) of the things he did to her - - -

If I were her I would have baited and taped him too - otherwise he'd hire lawyers with all his money and use his star power to make her look like a lying tramp..... instead she planned and gathered evidence before exposing him.

Taking it to the police should have been her first thing, instead she released it to tabloids - I think she was justified in that only because ONE she is at less risk now that they aren't together and if she didn't file reports same - day another day won't make a difference (though she should have called 911 right then and there imo) and TWO now the world sees the truth about him

I don't know it makesme think of Chris Brown - any man who hits a woman is a loser

for ever

the end

and that's all I have to say about that.

Adam Brody's message to Kristen Stewart

LA Times reports:

Adam Brody, no stranger to successful teen franchises, has a message for Kristen Stewart and other actors accused of hating the fame game: Quit.

Appearing on Diablo Cody's new internet talk show "Red Band Trailer" (the screenwriter actually holds celeb chats in an Airstream trailer), the duo broached the perilous lives of celebs, paparazzi and all.

"Do you enjoy being famous, or do you wish that you could just be an actor apart from all that, a la Kristen Stewart?" Cody asked.

"It's only gotten worse, I'm sure, being a celebrity. At the same time, I don't have a lot of patience for people who moan about it too much. Because there are many things you could do," Brody said, calling back to Cody's reference to Stewart.

"It's like, quit ... you don't need to be an actor, so it's like if it's that much of a problem ... there's the door."

Cody and Brody could be alluding to previous comments from Stewart regarding fan obsession and the oppressive nature of being famous.

Mandy's Mind - This is taken way out of context - I don't think Adam Brody was hating on Kristen Stewart just on the idea of celebs who hate fame - the interviewer simply said KStew - but I don't know....

Stephenie Meyer talks about Freaky Fred

Twilight Series Theories posted their Stephenie Meyer post also:

Stephenie: Okay, so let’s move on!

Letters to Twilight: Alright, so we are going to start off a little funny. So, there is this game that people play and you get three names and it is called, “Eff, Kill, Marry”. We are going to do the “Eclipse” version called “Hunt, Leg-Hitch, Imprint”. So, we are going to give you three names and you are going to choose which one.

Stephenie: Okay, okay.

Letters to Twilight: So, lets start out with the Holy Trinity of Edward, Jacob and Bella.

Stephenie: No, see I can’t.

(Everyone laughs)

Stephenie: …because no matter what I say, I am screwed. That’s why, and I love all the kids. They are great. So, I would have to say Imprint for all of them.

Twilight Series Theories: Aw.

Twilight Source: That’s sweet.

Stephenie: Isn’t that a cool answer?

Letters to Twilight: It is.

Stephenie: I feel so shut down right now. (laughs)

Letters to Twilight: Well, could we do “Bree Tanner” characters? Diego, Fred and Riley.

Stephenie: Well, you know that’s hard too. The obvious choice would be to hunt Riley after you read the book. But now that Xavier has played him…

Letters to Twilight: Oh we don’t care who plays him.

Stephenie: You would have to hunt Riley. You see, when he starts out, he is not a bad person when she first finds him. But, she makes him into a really bad person. I guess I would have to leg hitch Diego, and Imprint with Fred because I love Fred.

Twilight Series Theories: Yes. That was the biggest response we got from the fans.

Stephenie: And, you see Fred was such an accidental character. I love accidental characters. I knew that she was going to have, kind of, a romance there. But, he just came out of the blue. It was so interesting. Although, it killed me when the Spanish publisher put out a little synopsis of the story that was really badly translated and not only did they say that it was Riley who had a talent, but the talent was smell related. And I was like, “Oh my gosh!” I was horrified! I said “No, no that’s wrong”. Then I was worried that people were gonna read about Fred and in their heads think it was a smell thing. And I thought, “No”.

Letters to Twilight: No, we didn’t think that at all.

Twifans: No.

Twilight Source: Freaky Fred’s power is that he gives off that repulsion. How do you come up with the powers for vampires? What is in the water in Arizona ?

(Everyone laughs)

Twilight Source: I really want to know because we were talking about this a lot and we were thinking.

Stephenie: Well, anytime you start doing a fantasy, it slowly starts to shift away all the rules. And anyone you read, do you read Jasper Fforde? Go read Jasper Fforde! I am reading “Shades of Grey” right now. His imagination is unreal. But I think that when you take away the boundaries you start thinking that way. Fred is actually not that too far off. He is really related to what Jasper can do. He has an ability to affect how your body feels. And his is very specific. It is kind of like the difference between Jane and Kate. He has one thing he can do, whereas Jasper has the whole range.

Twilight Source: I never thought of it that way.

Stephenie: It is really related to that classification of talent.

Twilight Series Theories: Okay, so that leads into this question perfectly.

Stephenie: Excellent.

Twilight Series Theories: What is it about his human characteristics or his trait that caused him to have that ability when he is a vampire?

Stephenie: I see it as Fred’s backstory. He is in college, a little bit older like Riley and I see him as being – he is beautiful now because that is what happens, but him as being kind of a science nerd. Sort of quiet and sort of not liking other people’s attention. And of course when you live in a room full of newborns, that’s gonna be an even stronger need. So him, having that need to not be seen manifested in that way. And of course that makes him kind of cool.

Twilight Series Theories: Well, it is weird because he has got this ability to make people feel so repelled that they are nauseated. I think that is where they got the smell thing from.

Stephenie: I think so, but for me it was like completely a feeling in your gut. It wasn’t really a mental thing, more like a visceral and really, really potent. When you have to learn fast when you are in a group like that and so he is in an elevated learning program and he gets good really quickly. And, he is really, really smart. I liked to think about the newborns and what it would be like to be so unable to focus and all the time all you can think about is this driving need that you have and you are barely human. But if you can stop and slow down, you are able to think and you are really bright actually and he is able to do that on his own which makes him unique and special.

Twilight Series Theories: Thanks!

Twifans: This is one of those questions if you had pictured in your mind or maybe you thought of this beyond your mind but does Edward ever go to find Fred?

Stephenie: If I were to go ahead with it, he would definitely come up again. After his character sort of warmed he would fit into a rightly place. I don’t see Edward actively seeking him out. Having the knowledge he had gotten from Bree he realizes that Fred probably wouldn’t appreciate that pretty much, but I do see them crossing paths. I was really relieved in a way, I didn’t see anybody surviving. And so as Fred started developing it was really a relief to let someone survive and for someone you care about.

Twilight Series Theories: I just loved the introduction to the book that you did say “I was writing this and I did have a hard time that I made this decision before…” That helped me through.

Stephenie: By the end, you know, when I first started out I didn’t even think about it, I was thinking “this will be cool” it was all about the mechanics of it. And then when you start like “I have to kill her”. On set it was crazy because Jodelle is teeny. She is this little – actually she looked a little younger even though she is fifteen. My Bree in the book was grown up looking because she had a hard life but Jodelle did a really good job. They cut a scene of hers where I really think she captured her. I hope it makes it on the DVD. But, then you have Daniel Cudmore, who is – you can’t even tell in the movies but he is a monster!

Twilight Series Theories: And beautiful. (laughs)

Stephenie: He is so properly proportionate so that if you took a normal six-foot person and you blew them up. He is just so big. I remember the first time I met him I asked him like an idiot “How tall are you?”

(Everyone laughs)

Stephenie: The first time I met him, he was in the full Volturi garb with his eyes. It was impressive. So he was coming over to rip up the little girl and the difference between them was really – it made me sad. And you watch it all day because you shoot the scene in fourteen different ways all day long so they keep killing her over and over again.

Twilight Source: You know, I was saying this to Matt before and I feel like the fact that Bree’s life, how tragic it is in the fact that she dies, is a really juxtaposition to the series that we see from Bella’s perspective. Because, you always hear Edward saying, “This is a really tough life and this is not something that you want to be”.

Stephenie: And no one ever believes him.

Twilight Source: Exactly! Because you see it from Bella’s perspective of the Cullens are beautiful. But, Bree shows that he is right in a lot of ways. It was obviously tragic to see her die, I fell in love with her too. But you see that Edward’s perspective is vindicated in a lot of ways.

Stephenie: And you get to see Jasper as he hadn’t been, as good at what he does.

Twilight Source: Exactly.

Stephenie: When you are created for a reason that has nothing to do with your well being and serving someone else’s purpose and how used they are, they have no idea and are doomed from the start, it is just really sad.

Twilight Source: Which is why I just love the scene where Jasper and Bree, towards the end, where it is really intense because obviously it is coming full circle for Jasper in a lot of ways.

Stephenie: It was more focused on Edward and her connection. Which when I was writing it the first time it was all Bella and you are in that mode and you are so oblivious to a lot of things but when the line was really – it was really cool – I was writing it through and I had realized “hey Edward is gonna know everything she is thinking” so how are we going to do this? And his line was starting to play in to everything. That final line, I was getting chills.

Twilight Series Theories: I was too!

(laughing)

Twilight Source: Who was he talking to!?

Stephenie: He was talking to both of them. When I wrote it for Bella it was absolutely him talking to her, but then when I wrote this one, I thought “he was talking to Bree. Oh my gosh”, and when he was trying to save her I could feel his – so much more than when it was just “don’t do this horrible thing”, but then he was really trying to save her specifically and knew what a good person she was and I was just like “Aw”. And he couldn’t do anything. Stupid Jane!

Twilight Series Theories: Stupid Jane!

Mr. Nobody Review

I was given screening passes to Mr. Nobody and to be honest, I had no idea what it was. After checking online I became excited that it starred Jared Leto and seemed to have an abstract plot spanning generation.... sounds interesting.

We arrived late and though I missed the first bit, I don't think it would have changed my opinion of the film much... In two words...

Strangely Wonderful

The content itself is so bizarre, a man, the oldest man in the world in fact, is 120 and the last mortal human in the future world where people never die.

He is reluctantly telling a story to a reporter which leads to a number of flashbacks and flashside ways (to use a "Lost" idea) where we explore this man, Mr. Nemo Nobody, from pre-birth to now. What is exhausting is the various lives he may or may not have lived.

We see him at several cross-roads where he examines his choices and if simply not making a choice is the best answer.

Confusing to follow, the film goes through many lives and sub-lives of oneman who quite obviously could not have lived all these adventures.

While some compain there is lack of development of any one "life" i disagree. I felt connections to most characters simply because of their very real possibility. From a wife who is depressed, to a death, to loost love, to found love all basic emotions and experiences of life are encountered by Nemo...

Cinematically, the film was stunning. I especially enjoyed the different angles and shots it was visually appealing and interesting....

I would recommend seeing this film, in fact, I want to see it again as it is a complicated twisted tale that stretches your thinking in ways that are fun and intricate.

Stephenie Meyer talks about her role for Breaking Dawn

We know Stephenie is a producer for Breaking Dawn, but the Twilight fansites talked to her about what that really means and how she feels about it:

Stephenie Meyer has signed on to be in control of every detail of "Breaking Dawn 1 & 2'. This means everything from eye color, to sparkles, to makeup and hair. Do you think this will change anything? Do you think every detail will be stamped "Stephenie Meyer Approved"!?! We hope so but let's see what Stephenie thinks about the official title and added responsibility:

Twifans.com ask Stephenie Meyer what she brings to the table as a Producer for 'Breaking Dawn' by twifans

Transcription:
Alison: What made you decide to put the producer hat on for Breaking Dawn? And what do you think you’ll bring to that last movie?

SM: I don’t think it’s gonna change that much. I do feel like, I mean Breaking Dawn is tricky. It’s real tricky. Now, I feel like we have more of a handle on it. Because the script and with Bill Condon. I am more calm, but originally, I was very much on the fence. Maybe we shouldn’t make this into a movie, ya know. Some things can’t be made into a movie and come across exactly the right way. So it was a big struggle for me to go forward. I knew it would disappoint a lot of people, and that was really one of the main instances, that people would be like “What?” I didn’t want to disappoint people. So I was concerned. And still my plan was and still is, to be there every day. And so as the producer, can do that. So it’s really a lot about being….in the room. And it’s going to be a lot of upheaval in my life, but I felt like it was important. And then also, it’s the last one. So I kinda feel like, I’m going to commit to this for this year, I’ll get it done, and then I won’t do that again.

(laughs)

SM: And then also. I get to be more involved with it.

Jodi: I have this recorded

SM: Ya know, I think we will have a little more of the same music, which will be a big deal. Instead of hearing about the decisions afterward. We will be there when they are being made. That’s gonna help. With Eclipse, I was pretty much, right on the line with producing. I was very much involved with the script and a lot of the choices. So it’s not a huge difference, but it’ll be really, an interesting experience.

Kim: Well we breathed a sigh of relief when we heard you were producing.

SM: I don't know if those sighs are a little bit premature. I’m not sure that there will be that much more that I can do. um…..but, I keep fighting. I can’t quite make myself give up, so.

Alison: We do appreciate it.

SM: They can’t be exactly like the book. So it’s about having those key things that can make it, have that feel of the book. They have really done a really great job and not all of it I get right away, because for me it’s like “no, keep it closer to the story”. Then I have to say. “Okay, this is a good alternate” but it has it’s merits…..like angry Edward. It wasn’t in the book, and yet….that has a lot of value for you. There are things that they’re able to do that I can’t do. It’s a nice little compliment. And like Taylor and the love for Jacob. That’s a good thing. A good thing

Alison: Yeah!

Stephenie Meyer talks about Books to Movies (and Rob) and non-drama reshoots

Some of the Twilight Fansites met with Stephenie Meyer and spent 4 hours chatting (and gigling) about their favourite topics.... Here's another bit of their chat:

Often scenes from the books are changed or left out all together for the flow of the movie. Stephenie explains how and why she picks her battles when it comes to depicting her books into movies.

Twifans.com: (LTT asks) How does Stephenie Meyer pick her battles? by twifans

Transcription:
LTT: When do you choose your battles? In seeing the movie and the book. You have the book, they have a vision. They throw out a line, and you’re like “They would have never
said that”

SM: It’s really difficult. Because you do have to choose which ones you won’t bow down on. And I know that even when I really say “Okay, I cannot live with that” It’s still 1 out of 10 I’ll get it. When I really throw a fit. Which is rare. It is really rare because I realize ya know, they’re making a movie. When they come to me for advice, I’m happy say things. There are very few things that I will….and its things that just feel so wrong, that there’s no other way. And some of them are such small little things that, like with the…(?) we were talking about. A lot of that was (?) related. It’s harder than you would
think. It’s funny. Some things you take for granted in movies. And it’s amazing how difficult
some things are to do. One of the reasons we were back there was because, there was one blocking issue I had. And nobody else cared, but for me, it was such a key blocking thing. It physically had to look this way. That one, I was like “I really have to have this. I can’t see this like this” & everyone was like really?

Alison: All the fans would have cared. Not one fan would have been happy with that.

Kim: Was that with the tent scene?

Alison: We heard he was sitting up, and……now. La,la,la….he’s laying down.

SM: Lying down, no that’s not it

Alison: Oh, okay

SM: It’s when they are in the sleeping bag together. How do you visualize that?

Alison: Sexy hot

SM: In the original

TST: Don’t ruin the surprise

SM: That’s the expectation

Alison: The surprise would have been, what it was

SM: The one thing I scheduled my whole schedule around in Eclipse was I had to be there for
the tent scene was number one. That was on the calendar. And I had the other scenes in
order of priority, and I had those dates booked. I was already going to Vancouver and they had a weather problem. They filmed it when I wasn’t there. So I’m like “Okay, I’m not gonna panic.” But in the original version, Jacob gets into the sleeping bag (whispers) and doesn’t touch her.

Alison: Like just his legs are gonna keep her warm from the bottom of the sleeping bag?

*chatter*

SM: It’s impossible to keep someone warm when doing that. And then you have the extra added thing. This is the girl he is in love with and he’s in a sleeping bag with her….I mean, come on. I was just
like, “what…why aren’t you touching her? Why isn’t he touching her?” People are going to freak out.

Alison: Everybody would have freaked out

SM: It doesn’t make sense that he would do that and you’d sit there and say “why? He’s supposed to be warming her up, right?” Even if you had no baggage from reading the books, you would still have the same reaction.

Alison: It’s almost like…..common sense (a bunch of mumbling) It’s great now!

*chatter*

Kim: The re-shoot worked. It was great. The emotion that was in the book was in that scene.

SM: It was interesting, because the original script for it, I was fine with but then they tweaked the script because they felt like one part of the conversation got a lot more in depth in the original we kind of already knew. You know, you have the whole rehash when Edward’s talking about “when I first met her” and they pulled that and instead went with the later part of the scene where Jacob’s like “how did you cope?” And I think the emotionality of it just went through the roof.

Kim: The dialogue between Rob and Jake, I mean Edward and Jacob

Alison: And it was so long, and I loved how long it was

SM: Yeah! I love that they just let it happen. I think that, that was Rob’s best day of shooting.
It was so funny, did you guys hear all the rumors about the problems? Rob was only supposed to be there for the last day. The first two were Jacob and Bella scenes where the wig had been a problem. The last day was the tent was the tent and that was it & it was a pretty easy shoot. The only problem for that day was that Kristen had the stomach flu and luckily, she was supposed to lay there, but between every like scene, oh, she was so sick. And Taylor, he was over digging around, grabbing garbage cans. Why is Taylor taking the garbage? Takes them over there so she could puke in them.
It was so sweet. Everybody was taking care of her and everything, but it was a hard day. You look at actors and a lot of people are like “I wanna be an actor” it's so hard and then to sit there. She’s wanting to puke and she's all feverish, and she’s having to do the shivering. She was a work horse that day. That was our only drama was that poor Kristen got sick, and I think it was food poisoning. But it was a great shoot. It was one of those days where at the end you're like “We really killed it today! It's gonna be great!" It was a great day.

Mandy's Mind - STraight from the horses mouth - now when I watch that scene I will be thinking of Kristen Stewart puking ha ha gross!

Stephenie Meyer talks about Volvo's

TwiFans asks:

Edward's Volvo is another deviation from the book. Yes, Edward still drives a Volvo in the movie but would Edward really drive a hatch back or a Mommobile? Fans have debated the movie vs book Volvo & we wanted to know what SM thought about it:

Twifans.com asks Stephenie Meyer to explain the wrong Volvo by twifans

Transcription:
Kim: Kind of have a little silly question. It’s not super silly. What about the movie Volvo? It’s not like the book Volvo.

Alison: We had to go there.

Kim: And we really have to go there because, ya know, I’m over it now, but….

(laughs)

Kim: What about that?

SM: Ya know, the reason Edward drives a Volvo is to be inconspicuous and because ya know, people see a Volvo and think you buy them for safety. It’s kind of a joke. It’s the way to blend in, because the last thing in the world he needs is a safe car. And so when I was doing the cars. My brothers are car freaks ~~ says to Alison “you know”~~(http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/twilight_cullencars.html) And I asked them, I said “okay, If you were going to drive a Volvo but you were a care enthusiast” and they were like “ugh” and I’m like “no, what are you gonna drive?” And they were like “well, there’s the S60R. Very limited, and not a lot of people get it. It looks like it’s built for racing” So I’m like “Oh, that’s perfect” but they don’t make them anymore, so that was kind of a problem.

Alison: But they don’t make Bella’s truck anymore either. We could find that

SM: Bella’s truck is a 67’ in the movie and a 53’ in real life. They look nothing the same. Which kills me, because I love the old body style. In the sixties, they got very square. In the fifties, it was all round and it was really of cute. That was actually, that one was harder than the Volvo. But I am very car attached, so yeah……I had. I mean, I didn’t have back in the day….I didn’t really have a lot, I didn’t have a lot to do with Twilight (the movie). They were great about telling me what was going on, but I wasn’t part of the conversation. So with the cars, it was already a done deal. They already had the three sets of them, and I kinda went “ohhh”

Alison: It’s not silver. It’s the mom-mobile Kim & Alison: now

Alison: It's not a sexy vampire car *whining*

SM: Actually. It’s kind of a fun car. They went with the darker gray. They tried a different shade. I’m interested to see if it evolves again. I’m not sure if it will.

Kim: But there are plenty of them driving around

Alison: They are everywhere here

SM: I wouldn't budge on the Porsche. The right Porsche in the right color.

Alison: Well we just had to ask you because your opinion was really the only one that matters. To the fans.

SM: If I were going to do it. If I were going to raise a bunch of money. The cars would be spot on. That’s how it would go.

SYTYCD Season 7 Top 7

Last night I watched both Wednesday and Thursday's performance and Results show.

We started with word that Ashley had been injured and I can tell you she was the one eliminated.

This seasons rules dictate that injured people are put on the bottom 3 list and joined by 2 others who are chosen by least amount of viewers votes.

Then the two uninjured dance for their lives.

It happened last week with Alex and now this week with Ashley. Both injuries were substantial enough that they wouldn't be able to dance the next week, which means they are gone. (THe new rules also say if you can't dance two weeks you are disqualified)

I was less sad to see Ashley go, don't get me wrong she is amazing but I had an emotional attachment to Alex. I am now rooting for Kent.

Billy is awesome too but Kent is the whole package.

Something I have been able to do fairly accurately since last season is guess who choreographed opening routines simply based on the dance itself. Tyce did a great job with the opening number it was broadway but fun and not overly cheesey.

I also loved seeing Twitch and Comfort dance together - wow!

Favourite dances were Travis Wall's choreography for his mother. RObert is just so amazing!

Also loved Jose and DOminic's B-Boy thought there was that middle part where they kind of ran from side to side that should have been filled with more of their smooth moves...

Kent and Neil did an awesome baseball broadway routine. I am not generally a fan of broadway - I mean it's fun and quirky but usually overly cheesey - this was good.

Lauren's Tahitian dance was AMAZING Mark - - - wow! I have never looked at Mark as "Sexy" usually more "odd" or "eccentric" but last night, in that dance, holy SEXY!

Loves seeing Christina Perri performing “Jar of Hearts” live. What a great story - waitressing one day and #1 itunes the next because of her song being used on SYTYCD - way to go Stacey Tookey for giving her that opportunity!

One thing I really really LOVE about this season is the all-stars who stck up for and encourage their contestent partners regardless of who they are each week... also hearing Cat Deely support and voice her thoughts on things more than in the past. I do miss Mary's shrieking, though just a little, and I would rather see Mia choreo than judge, she annoys me as a judge, she gets way too bitchy!

I wanted to post videos of my fave dances but youtube is hard-core for sytycd copyright and most videos are taken down but feel free to search the dancers and song to see them if you missed them!

TwiFans talks to Stephenie Meyer about "Rude Bella"

Here is more from when Stephenie Meyer met with fansites:

BELLA LEAVING WITH JACOB ON THE MOTORCYCLE
Instead of running off with Jacob when Edward was off hunting, Bella jumps on a motorcycle right in front of Edward's face. The day the clip came out, all I heard was "Bella would never do that!" or "Book Bella would have never hurt Edward like that!"

Here is the clip:

Here is what Stephenie said to TwiFans.com:

Twifans.com ask Stephenie Meyer about Bella leaving with Jacob on the motorcycle by twifans

Transcription:
Alison: This is the only disruption in the force so far. The motorcycle clips. Where Bella gets on the motorcycle with Jacob. Our members wanna know, they don’t think that book Bella would have done that, would have ever hurt Edward like that.

SM: I have heard, I have read the comments, and I said the exact same thing. That was one of those days that I flew down. I'm like the way that this you know in the script I said the way that this is written her getting on the back of the bicycle is a direct response here "You lied to me, well I’m going with him” & we were able the day of, they cut down the clip that they played for MTV and stuff, we were able to soften it. We were able to get some lines in and you’ve seen the whole thing, so you know there’s a breakaway we tried to put in….her response to Edward, and then now it becomes about Jacob. “Why haven’t you called me?” We tried as hard as we could to soften, how that went down so it didn’t feel like, something “Well, I’m gonna go get on the back of his motorcycle” because I felt like that was NOT Bella at all & it's not assertive, it’s rude. You know what I mean. It’s not like….

Alison: It’s too reactionary

SM: It’s not like, “I’m a strong female character” It’s like “I’m a jerk”

Alison: We were mad at movie Bella. (Laughs) Book Bella and I were okay, but movie Bella & I were like uh.

SM: That was more or less my same reaction. I think that in the form that it exists in the film……its better now. I think it works somewhat. I still think it’s kind of a stretch that she would do that. You only have so much you can do. That was one I lost. Early in I lost that one. You do what you can do.

Alison: They’ll be happy you agree!

Mandy's Mind - I loved her hopping on the motorbike, it was bad ass ha ha

Stephenie Meyer on Angry Edward in Eclipse

Remember when a few lucky fansites got to go meet Stephenie and chatted for over 4 hours - well today they are releasing a ton of stuff from that day so as I have time to read through it I will post and link to the radness that they experienced.

First - Angry Edward in Eclipse

From TwiFans:

Stephenie Meyer has had more and more say when it comes to how the movies are made from her beautifully written books. It's hard to get every scene in a 2 hour movie just as it was written in a 629 page book. Stephenie gives advice and guidance when she can. We are very excited that Stephenie will be a producer on 'Breaking Dawn 1 & 2' even though she has taken a very active role in 'Eclipse.'

Ultimately Stephenie Meyer's opinion on the movies is very important to book fans. Usually we tend to agree with the talented lady that wrote the saga. So we brought up some questions in our interview hoping to get down to the bottom of the movie discussions we have had here on twifans.

Angryward...would we say he is a fan favorite!?! Most girl fans are loving Angryward. We think it's because he is the most unrestrained and most like a vampire.

What do you think Stephenie thinks of Angryward and Edward threatening Jacob for kissing Bella? Does she agree, does she thinks he's hot?

Listen Here

Here is the scene:

Transcription:
Kim: Okay, we have a question about the Angry Edward, and how hot he is. When he gets angry, he pulls up, and he’s like…ya know……if you ever touch her against her will again. All the fans just love it. We all love it and everybody went crazy. The members, our members, we all wanna know about angry Edward.

Alison: Why do you think the fandom thinks Angry Edward is SO hot?

SM: Ya know it’s funny about this scene, and Meghan’s giving me the eye. That’s the one I walked out on, on the dailies because in my head that scene was so much different. In the movie Edward is quite separate motivation-ally from the book Edward. At this point in the film in the story for me he’s gotten past this. Like he’s realized “I can’t act like a teenage boy anymore. I have to give her space. I have to be the mature one here.” And in that scene in the book, he has, icy calm control. He is very gentle. He is very soft spoken. He is very mature. So when I see him….and plus ya know, the movies are unable to bring to life some of the elements in the mythology. If Edward had, in anger, grabbed Jacob by the shoulder, his arm would have come off. And the fact that Taylor is uninjured, and that he just kind of sits there…..bothered me. So I'm like…wait! If we are gonna go for it, tear his arm off. Ya know. And it’s hard for them, because blood puts you over the limit and stuff, and they would not tear off Jacob’s arm. I’m like….if we want angry Edward, I wanna see some blood. They had already filmed that day, so we couldn’t redo it but, people have responded really well to it.

Kim: That is the thing because it is different than the book.

Alison: He's as close to a vampire as we’ve seen him, because he was so restrained.

SM: And restraint is pretty much his middle name. And we don’t have the scene early in the book, where she comes back from La Push, and he’s like “are you trying to make me insane?” He really lost it. We don’t have that evolution where he goes overboard. We have a little bit, the battery disabling. Which is really over the line, and then he’s supposed to learn and he’s supposed to stop. By that point, we’re so far in, it’s like….”why is he still acting like this?” But okay, it is hot…I’ll give you that.

Kim: It turned out well considering it was a deviation from the book, and anyway……we liked it.

Mandy's Mind - I liked it too!

BIg Brother 12 - The Sabatoeur goes home

It really sucks that Annie, who revealed to be the sabatoeur, was sent home first.

I was hoping Annie went home, because I liked the showmance and potential for drama, but then once it was confirmed she was the sabatoeur (I suspected her to start but wasn't sure and changed my mind soon after) I wanted her to stay and cause more drama - - - too bad!

At least we have the showmance and now that Rachel stayed, and won HoH we should have an interesting week as she seeks revenge against those who put her and Brendan up - I predict Hayden for sure.... I havent seen spoilers yet I wonder who she picked (will deffo check spoilers after work today tee hee)

I think these house guests are kind of boring so far, though Lydia has been tweeting a storm of drama and hate so I kind of hope they send her or some past houseguests into the house ha ha

I don't have live feed but I guess Rachel was bad mouthing bb11 HGs and Lydia saw and was pissed.... perhaps Rachel said something specfic about Lydia? uh oh!

I hope things pick up - I am also hoping the Sabatoeur WAS NOT Lying when she said two people are life long friends, if it's a hoax that would suck - but if it is true that would be awesome

I suspected Brittney and Cop (as mother/daughter) she said she has a 22 year old daughter, they both had green ex's on their faces and have similar features - thoughts?

Anyways - thats all for now - hoping for more drama and excitement soon!

Glee in Vancouver

Last night my friend MeMy and I went to see the Mr. Nobody screening at Tinseltown in Vancouver. (I am writing a review - to be posted soon)

After, we planned to go to the outdoor cinema showing of "Goonies" at Stanley Park but reports from friends indicated it was over packed and if she couldn't get up to go to the bathroom, then there was no way we would get in.

We decided instead to head to Boneta for some eats and drinks.

I always love gastown in the summer, it's filled with tourists and I just love to enjoy my city when I can.

We had some very strong buit tasty bevvies:

Mmmm bevvies after movies

MeMy ordered an interesting appie which I nibbled on also:

Light Snack.... Bison..... Quail egg... Aruguala... Carpaccio... Dijon...

Then the dessert - oh the dessert - Raspberry, Lychee, White Chocolate Mousse, Sorbert on a waffer with a thin white chocolate disk...

Dessert

Another angle Mmmmm

We had some great laughs and a fantastic time but guess who was dining a few tables away?

Mr. Cory Monteith

FROM GLEE!

Man he is taller and sexier in person... but most importantly SO SWEET!

We saw him leaving as we were and so we said hi. He was so friendly and we asked if it would be ok to get a photo and we were sorry to be "Creepy" since he was out with friends but he was so gracious and said "it's not creepy at all" he said it was part of the fun of his job and it was no problem. We chatted briefly and he was super kind and cute.

I look ridiculous as I had worked all day then ran home and left without any make-up or anything... but here is the photo:

On Tuesday this short film was released on itunes and quickly went to #1 - I haven't seen it yet - whats the word people?

Melissa Rosenberg talks Sex and Nuptials in Breaking Dawn

Melissa Rosenberg is the mastermind behind turning the beloved Twilight novels into the blockbuster Twilight Saga films. Rosenberg is setting out to please many twi-hards with the Saga's final Breaking Dawn films.

“I don’t think we’re planning to shy away from anything,” she told OnTheRedCarpet.com “I think the birth should be as horrifying as it is in the novel. The sex scenes should be as scintillating as they are in the novel, as erotic as they are in the novel. All of it, I think we should see all of it.”

What about Bella and Edward’s nuptials? Will it live up to fan’s expectations? According to Rosenberg, “We want it to be just a beautiful, lush, epic wedding. And I think it will be.”

Loved Ones Review from Fearnet

Thanks to Sarah who commented on this post with a heads up on this review of Loved Ones by Fearnet.

It's a slick, sick (in a good way) mean girl flick that is smart enough to stay one step ahead of its audience and bold enough to keep going one step beyond where you think it will go.

Which is why I'm imploring you: don't watch the trailer.

I agree with the New York Post and with Cinematical's Peter Hall: the trailer gives away too much. Part of why I loved The Loved Ones is the fun of watching it while wondering just how deep its giddy depravity runs. The trailer spoils the surprise of discovering what terrible thing happens with that hammer, that drill, that Volkswagen and those...well, let's just call them "leftovers."

So don't. Just don't.

But you're gonna, aren't you? Sigh.

If you absolutely must, try your best to hit PAUSE at the 1:05 mark, right when the quote from Cinema Eye pops up. Everything after that is best experienced in the theater if/when some US distributor is smart enough to snatch this one up.

Well - if you want to see the trailer it is here but try to pause at the 1:05 mark or don't watch at all... I've chosen NOT to look at all.... but I deffo want to see the movie and Xavier - rawr!

I'd like to do THAT kind of research with Xavier.... rawr!

Breaking Dawn 3D? Discuss...

Breaking Dawn as 3D would it work?

First, here is an article from MTV After is a blurb on my honest thoughts...

Summit Entertainment understands the importance of 3-D. Still, there continues to be rampant speculation about whether "Breaking Dawn," will open as a 3-D release when the first of a two-part finale arrives in theaters next year. But now, another movie on the studio's lineup may provide some clues about where Summit will take the "Twilight Saga."

"They're completely fascinated and intrigued by the technology," said director Patrick Lussier, who recently wrapped production on Summit's 3-D action flick "Drive Angry." "I think Summit has been discovering, as they've been seeing the 3-D material and the ease we've been able to work with it, is that it's an incredibly viable format to work in."

So will Summit's "Drive Angry" experience — the movie was shot using 3-D cameras rather than converted in post-production — combined with the fate of "Eclipse" at the box office , convince them to deliver their biggest 2011 release in three dimensions?

"That decision has yet to be made," Summit distribution head Richard Fay told MTV News. "It's still the source of a discussion."

While those talks inevitably touch on technological hurdles and monetary interest — owing to the premium-ticket prices that 3-D flicks command — Fay emphasized that the studio is more focused on creative concerns.

"There's certainly a financial part of the discussion," he said. "And yes, there's a certain amount of technology that has to be considered and accounted for. But it really comes down to the creative folks."

"In any of these roundtables conversations, [Summit CEO] Rob Friedman has always been concerned about the 'Twilight' patron," Fay added. "His concern is always the people that come in to see this movie. He doesn't want to turn them off or offend. That's why it's a creative decision. A big factor is the perception of our audience. What are their feelings going to be? If it lends itself to being a better movie because of 3-D, then that's the technology we'll use."

What are your thoughts on "Breaking Dawn" in 3-D? Tell us your thoughts in the comments!

Mandy's Mind

Honestly, I wouldn't want Breaking Dawn in 3D. I saw Eclipse in IMAX and didn't really think it suited an IMAX. For one, I prefer IMAX with wide landscapes and not mostly close-ups. mAdditionally, the battle was difficult to follow because there was too much happening in all corners of the screen. The movie is great, but I enjoyed it more on the small screen as opposed to IMAX (with the exception of IMAX RObward and Taycob)

Moving forward, I can see 3D is the next step but in reality I think it's too much of a jump. To me, good qualities of 3D are having things jump towards you and fly past you and you move through. I can't think of how or what in Breaking Dawn is suited for this type of feel.

Can you imagine Renesmee's birth(already controversial) in 3D? Maybe Bella in her wedding dress walking down the aisle towards the audience? Feathers falling around us (ok actually, THAT part sounds cool - if it was 4D with actual feathers falling ha ha - but I digress)

There is always a WAY to make it 3D but is it always a GOOD WAY? I don't want scenes forced to make them work 3D....

Examples of 3D I enjoyed are Alice in Wonderland, falling down the rabbit hole, walking out the cliff towards us in the audience etc. or My Bloody Valentine's axe plnging at my head, or most animated movies (Toy Story, How to train a gragon, Up, etc.) since they can have characters that are already unreal, do the unreal such as fly towards you or jump through the screen.

Fuel Your Motionography posted this article on 3D last year:

Another string to the 3D bow is that there is the potential to take audiences into the reality on the screen. I recently watched a 3D horror movie and people were jumping in their seats and grabbing in the air. There was a fun, social energy in the auditorium; one that I have never experienced with a 2D movie. 3D undoubtedly makes what we are seeing more vivid and dare I say it, real. We can almost touch the world the characters exist in, and there have been a few rare moments where I felt like I was at the same table as the characters I was watching.

Of course, as the same article points out, 3D can cause motion sickness and it also allows even horribly bad movies (such as My Bloody Valentine in my opinion and inthe article's example Final Destination 3) do well at the box office because of the 3D factor....

Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn does not NEED the extra appeal of 3D at the box office... nor does it need to change whats not broken... it will do well regardless of it's format... which brings me to my closing point...

Regardless if it is 3D or not fans will go see it... 3D may bring in some other fans interested in the 3D appeal which is the newest trend, but I think it will lose some too (those who get motion sickness may only go once, or more will wait for dvd, or not pay the extra ticket price to see multiple times)

Personally, I would go at least 3x but I enjoy 3D - I just fear that Breaking Dawn isn't the rght kind of movie to go the 3D route... especially not exclusively 3D

What do you think?

**EDIT - Wow! What an idea.... 3D after Bella turns. Thanks to thos eyou emailed me and commented below with this idea... I hadn't even thought of it but I love it.. what a neat way to show how Bella's perspective changes.... 3D and detailed and clear... some suggested animated parts like Avatar and though the idea sounds strange I can that vision working... I'd be scared, it's a risk and if they messed it up it would be horrible, but... if they mastered it - wow what an amazing creation that could be!!!

Big Brother 12 Tonight

This is just tonight's episode... at the bottom ONLY there is veto comp spoilers.

In short, the nominations were Brendan and Rachel (who seem to be starting a showmance based on their love of science ha!) even though the "Sabateur" put green X tape over Deputy Sherrif and Brittney, both who bombed in the have/have not challenge this week.

The Challenge, crawling through caramel and digging through popcorn, was gross, what's wrse, those have not losers) don't get hot water so they had to shower in cold water to get that sticky goop off them THEN soeep on lawn chairs next to jars of live maggots and bugs that smell like... well... maggots and bugs!!! |GROSS!|!

Additionally, the have nots will live off slop, which they already had been doing along with the whole house because the "sabateur" locked up their food.

Wednesday is the veto (want spoilers? I will post at the end of this post with warnings before hand) and then THursday is the live eviction and we will get to find out who SABATEUR IS....

My thoughts:

Annie - was my first guess just since she seems innocent but smart, I don't know why I thought it was her first episode.

Sheriff - She would be good at that stuff being a cop, she literally LAID in the carmel not moving for way too long.

Britney - she sucked in both challenges, granted she hurt her knee in the first one.

Andrew - (is he the kosher eating prankster?) he seems too obvious to be it but he has put a bulls eye on himself, though I doubt BB would let viewing audience see ow obvious he is if it was him

Jersey Boy - He and Andrew chatted in the room and it made me think it could be him but I don't know - he seems fishy - maybe I just don't trust Jersey boys after too much Jersey Shore ha ha

Who do you suspect most?

OK - VETO COMPETITION SPOILERS COMING NEXT DO NOT READ ---------------

True Blood Sunday & Vampire Music

After last week's hiatus due to the 4th of July, I was really anxious to see tonight's episode. When they did a mini preview I was scared thinking it was a review of last week and ther ein faxt had been an episode even though my pvr didn't record one... luckily I am on track and haven't missed any PHEW!

Tonight's episode was great.

They all are though aren't they?

I loved seeing more Alcide and meeting Deb and finding out more about the wolves and the vampires and all the Mississippi scandals. I also loved ERic's Sookie sex dream - hot!

It was nice to see more Alcide and Sookie done up "bad-ass" as well as Pam.. I love Pam and seeing her tied up and Eric come to Fangtasia and hearing them speak ont he phone - LOVED IT!

I think Bill is hotter this season, maybe I Just prefer the bad boy but he seems less - cakey white and more - sexy... non? I am still Team ERic though RAWR

ALso great this eppy was the tunes... during the motel when Tara is tied up and the credits song was so awesome in fact a few of us were tweeting about it so I wanted to include it in this post incase you missed it, skipped it, wanted to hear it again....

Isn't it awesome?

"9 Crimes" by Damien Rice

The video, the song, I love love it!

I love that my vampire obsessionis exposing me to new music I may have otherwise never heard....

This song is just one of many examples. It applies to True Blood but other soundtracks for Twilight and Vampire Diaries and of course the "Brit Pack" (except Sam Bradley since he lives here but Marcus Foster, Bobby Long I may have never discovered) this was true even with Buffy the Vampire Slayer back in the day...

Random, talented musicians that I may have never had the privilege to enjoy - tossed at me via my favourite shows, movies, even commercials....

LOVE MUSIC!

Anyways **end tangent**

True Blood ROcked TOnight - Don't you think?

What was your favourite part?

Did you like the music?
