Real Life

Sometimes real lif sucks...

I apologize for my sporadic posts lately but there is a lot going on, so when i have time I will binge post

A little bit of a rant on my real life....

TV is my "down time"

First of all my cable provider has been absolute crap lately! My PVR started acting upa month ago and has got worse as days go by to the point where now I can't tape and watch shows and most of the time I can't even watch tv. It freezes, blacks out, pixelates, and cuts out.

The customer service of the cable provider has been even worse than the services they provide.

The tech guy came to my house to take a peek and I walked up from taking my daughter to school as he was at my door and he told me I would have to rebook because he had already called me in as not being home.

UM? WHAT? I am home now....

Not to mention to book him took sitting on hold for 4 hours - I have waited on hold for over 3 hours 4 times in the past two weeks... it is brutal!

The last phone in I made only took 3 hours on hold but then the lady seemed to not be listening to me, so I asked her to read back what she had written down and she said she hadn't typed it in yet but would. I asked if she could do it now and read back to me and she said "seriously? I don't think so" and HUNG UP ON ME!

That was the final straw, I called back, waited another near 4 hours and found out she hadn't written down anything (meaning I couldn't get an employee i.d. to report her)

Anyways, I have switched cable providers so on the 17th (which also happens to be my birthday) I will have a new cable, internet and phone provider... I am nervous after 10+ years with SHAW I am switching to TELUS... but Shaw has screwed me for the last time!

So I have been missing a lot of my shows, and my shows are me ecape from a crazy, busy, stressful real life... grrrrr

Forks Funk

It has been a week since Forks and I miss it. well, more the people... I really loved the weekend there!

October is my busy time

Yes I am always busy it seems, but October is always the worst. Besides Canadian Thanksgiving, which we just had, I have a number of friend's birthdays (including mine) and Halloween, which is the busiest holiday of the year for me because of a massive event I am involved in planning. Essentially I have no time for anything but event planning... stress city until Nov 1

November

November is usually a lazy month for me after a crazy October. Last year I vegged, the year before I actually had H1N1, but most years i am lazy, tired, and often sick after working so hard..

This November won't be lazy-bones month, but it WILL be busy and fun

I am going down to L.A. for Breaking Dawn Con, Premiere and other fun events and activities wityh friends. Then I am heading to NYC for more fun with friends and to see the Breaking Dawn midnight showing with friends.

Can't wait but it is a lot to plan and save money for!

Alright, I will end my rant there. I don't often use this space to rant about personal things, I keep it to fun stuff typically, but since there has been a lack of posts and a few people message me worried, or wondering what was going on, I decided to do a post and let you into my world a bit :)

So sorry and I promise to post more soon, morel ikely once my internet switches over ;)

Thanks for reading

Challenge Rivals - The Mob has to think individually....

I felt like this week's episode was like a bad acid trip. The happenings, the camera angles, the music, the editing... it was insanity from the realization they were going to Argentina, to the toga party, to the whippings, to the trip to Argentina, to the wrestling and room trashing and finally the soda pop fighting... it was all very immature and trippy and just WTF. The lines in the sand have really been drawn and while the helicopter challenge was awesome, it all ended very quickly.

Basically one partner was hanging from the 'copter while another climbed a rope (women actually climbed a rope ladder, but whatever) Evelyn killed it, as always and on the men's side, rookies Mike and Leroy actually killed it saving themselves from the "jungle" t andamongst themselves who would f had to vdecide amongst themselves who would f had to vdecide amongst themselves who would face CT in "the jungle" BUT host |TJ has a further surprise, they had to pick the team - on the spot - then and there.

See the mob on this show can't wipe their butt's without checking with Kenny and Wes, so this put everyone in a tough spot - they had *gasp* THINK FOR THEMSELVES! In the end Tyler and Johnny were chosen and Tyler startes to go cray-cray which showed his fear for the CT rematch. Worst part of this episode was it ended with a To Be Continues... I hate that crap! So next week Johnny and Tyler take on Adam and CT in what seems by the previews to be a running rock shoving challenge of some sort? I am rooting for CT and Adam this time!

The end of the show had them in a club, the mob had decided to make Adam lose his confidence and throw him off his game so they were harassing him... CT intervened and it looked like a fight was ready to break out....

Also earlier in the episode Cara Maria was the brunt of everyone's joke again. With Pop all over her white dress after Wes purposely dumped a bottle on her she was in tears, Laurel came out to back her up, attacking Paula who was in tears, Tyler came to stick up for her, which is why he was especially burned when Paula stayed silent allowing her partner Evelyn to vote for he and Johnny to go against CT and Adam... oh the dramaz.

Can't wait to see next week - - -

*I apologize if some music is under wrong couple, let me know in the comments and I can switch up - the wisdom teeth surgery had me loopy*

Tuesday was Reults Night...

The Top 22 Group routine was choreographed by Luther Brown.
Hip-hop Routine: On the Floor (feat. Pitbull) ~ Jennifer Lopez

So You Think You Can Dance Canada's results show is only 30 minutes, so we really get down to it quicker than the USA version.

CTV writes:

Each of the bottom six dancers had 30 seconds to dance for their lives. First up was Cassandra performing a jazz routine, followed by Lauren’s salsa number and finally, Geisha’s lyrical contemporary performance.

The guys took to the stage next. François kicked it off (literally!) with a high energy jive, followed by Rodrigo’s hip-hop routine that had the audience shrieking with excitement. Last up, Adam A. combined contemporary moves with b-boying tricks.

At that point, Adam and Cassandra were sent home, leaving only the Top 20 for next week. Talk about short-lived for Adam A?! Ah well...

Adam A and Cassandra were sent home Tuesday night.

Reality TV Update - August 30, 2010

I have missed a few updates, but I will try to catch up.

Bachelor Pad

I missed tonight's episode *gasp* But I did see Wes and Krissily go home. That is all I know. Krissily's last words were to break up Kovaks, Elizabeth, Kiptyn and Tenley - well duh! I want to know what I missed so feel free to comment with updates or details.

I did a full post on last week's episode.

SYTYCD Canada

I am loving some of this season's contestents and I do blog after every episode with Power Rankings and then Results. I also blog throughout the week at Pure SYTYCD.

Last Week Shelaina went home due to injury and Hanni for some stupid reason. This week two more will go home tomorrow night.

Here are my power rankings from tonight's show.

Master Chef

I am loving this show. I liked this week's trucker challenge and was shocked when red pulled in the win after such a rough start, I mean seriously? Blue Cheese? Whitney and Jake are my two top favourites.

Big Brother

Well I have spoilers so I will shuddup but this week is going to be VERY INTERESTING! I will leave it at that but if you want spoilers read HERE and HERE

Everyone I was rooting for is gone so now I don't care... I like Lane but he has money, Britney has girl power but she has annoyed me since day one, I love gay men but Ragan seems close to going home, I hate Enzo, so that leaves Hayden... or Lane.. or Brittney.. I dunno - I will wait til last two and then decide.

Dating in the Dark

This show is so bad it's good. I love that I can pick it up or drop it any time because each week si new people. It's a nice background show to accompany my blogging. They always have at least one total loser.

Jersey Shore

OMG The Situation is friggin too much - his "master plan" to put the hippo to bed and have two girls on one side of the house and two on the other - - AND IT WORKED!?!?!? Too much! I can't wait to see this week's the preview shows Sammie and JWOW having it out - I assume it comes out that she wrote the letter to Sammi about Ronnie's creepin' ha ha ha this show is so bad I can't help myself... though I do wanna shoot myself when I hear shit like The Situation will make $5mil this year - WTF? Yet, here I am supporting it by watching and talking about it BAD MANDY!

Real World New Orleans

I haven't watched this yet but my PVR needs me too fast...

Am I missing anything?

Oh, here are two reality tv stories that caught my eye today...

Snooki's boyfriend of one month proposes via tabloid magazine.

American Idol still without panel of judges.
