TRUE BLOOD RETURNS TODAY!!!!!!!

Bill has gone CRAY!!!!
I liked the bus slaughter, poor Doug, and Lafayette and his momma bantering back & forth. Eric piggy backing Bill? I mean really?
There was some greatness both last week and this, as well as some *yawn* needless scenes... but I want to review both episodes in this post, so I apologie for the length, I will try not to ramble and sticj to the recap and my thoughts on what we saw.
Last Week:
First, stuff I hate... Terry's storyline... wah wah wah... the sups-hate-gang... and swooping up Hoyt to join their hate club... *eye roll* which also leads to Luna and Sam's story, which I don't care much for, until tonight's episode, but we will get to that....
I loved Bill fake-glamouring Sookie, which in reality was telling her it is over and move on. Time for Sookie to have some good ol' fairy self reflection away from the men that dominate her life. I also liked Eric's glamouring of Alcide, taking it so far as to make Sookie kind of repulsive... sadly, Sookie returns his memories a bit too soon.
Also Tara and Jessica continued fighting, until Pam broke it up. Alcide decided to try for Pack Leader and was seconded by a new hottie werewolf.
Of course the biggest shocker was the death of Roman. I still can't believe it. I mean not even 24 hours before I watched this, we listened to Christopher Meloni on the True Blood Comic-Con stage talking about the show... gah!
This Week:
I really loved tonight's episode. I mean I loved loved the high vampires moments after Eric and Bill say "we are vampires, it's vampire blood, we'll be fine" bahahahaha - epic!

I mean... seeing them high and wandering through New Orleans was just as hilarious as when Steve Newlin came to Jessica's frat boy party doing his lil' shimmy dance.
Then of course interupting the private wedding karaoke party to feast, but not before Russell duet's with the bride...

Of course, my favourite, Allan Hyde returned in a guest appearence as Godric. I love Godric, I wish he could be featured every episode. I am interested to see where this Lillith blood acid-like trip, and Lillith appearence, will take us. Eric will need to do as Godric asks and help his sister Nora.
Of course before all this, we learn, as we suspected Salomne and Nora worked together to save and bring back Russell Edginton, who is not the crazed, angry, insane leader he once was... thoughs till very entertaining... let's see where this goes.
Ok, there were other things in this episode... We have Alcide with new girl "training" slash making out- bow chicka wow wow, and Joe Manganiello was wearing his bandana, which is so hot! Meanwhile, current alpha/pack leader (JD) is pushing 'V' to the wolves and even offers it to baby Emma! WTF? he claims there is a human/vampire war brewing and they need to prove their loyalty to vamps to survive the war... hmm... Russell again?
Andy visits former Sherriff Dearborn who doesn't seem to want to help much and is too busyw ith some female friend while his wife is away... not sure why he was brought back ,maybe he is "Dragon" the leader of the hate group shooting "supes"?? Speaking of the hate group...
Sam smells out the masks at the shop and sniffs out one of the perps from the attacks, meanwhile Hoyt seems to fit in well with the hate group which is "more about love than hate" meh, not too interested in this story line (yet) I have a feeling they will go for Jessica, then I will start to care!
Pam has discovered a hair crimper and looks fab as she sits on her throne at Fangtasia watching Tara pole dance. She even looks proud when Tara tells off her momma who is "a preachers wife now" and disowns Vamp-Tara.... Comic-Con panel said at least 3 new relationships coming this season, not including random hook-ups - I predict some lesbo-lovin between Tara and maker Pam?!?! non?!?!
Lafayette goes to Don to settle unresolved issues of Jesus. He sees Jesus' head and Don stitches up Lafayette mouth and is ready to kill him and feed his brain juice to his unborn child or some crazy shit like that...??? Well, Marla, the pregnant lady stabs Don to death then comes st Lafayette, but only to unstitch his mouth - phew!
The Ifrite comes and laughs at Terry. Terry gets mad and nearly shoots himself, but is talked down. Meanwhile Arlene watches her wedding video, which was cute and Crystal came in and basically said Terry may not be crazy, there are crazier things that they have all witnessed (aka this is True Blood, anything that sounds compeltely eff'd up - is probably true and happening!) Seriously Arlene, you were in love with the murderer in season 1 - - expect this shit!
Jason is feeling down about the news vamps killed his parents, and while Jessica tries to prove all vamps aren't the same, she kisses him with fresh man-blood still on her lips from some hottie she is sucking upstairs. This sends Jason off the deep end and he shoots her in the head while security team of Bill's comes to her rescue.
Sookie, still super boring this season (though she *is* pregnant in real life) learns she is part human and her fairy powers are not infinite, she can run out... and be normal, which sounds pretty awesome to her, so she tries to use up her power at the end of the show.
Did I miss anything? Probably... but Lillith is there and I am curious to see whot his goes, I am already confused by what the heck she stands for and if you bekieve in her literally or not and how the influences if you feed off of humans or not... they all swing back and forth... *sigh*
What did you think?
But the tricky thing about innocence is that once you lose it, you can never get it back. And what steps in in its place tends to be of the malicious sort.
“I was an innocent child, ‘til you taught me your style,” coos Nina Simone as “Whatever I Am, You Made Me” draws to a close, and it’s a statement that has never been truer for the show. The revealing of Jason and Salome’s pasts speak most clearly to loss, but they’re not alone. In the eyes of Alcide, Sookie has lost her innocence; Hoyt dons a little guyliner and goes searching for trouble at Fangtasia, abandoning the character we’ve come to know; even Pam, normally so cold and stoic, is showing a softer side in her memories of Eric. At its core, “Whatever I Am, You Made Me” is an episode meant for development.
Judging by the three episodes I’ve seen, the action is going to come fast and furious this season.
And we can look forward to the appearance of Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: SVU) as the vampire Roman, one of the head honchos of the Authority.
Vampire politics will play a role, as the Authority battles a vampire cult called the Sanguinistas, who believe that humans exist only as vampire Happy Meals.
Also, we’re not quite done with the faeries.

Hollywood Reporter writes:
True Blood’s fourth season premiere presented us with a host of twists and turns for its characters and one of the biggest surprises to come out of it was Tara’s (Rutina Wesley) apparent sexuality shift. The plot twist has been out for a couple weeks now, but the character’s identity had fans guessing.
Wesley tells The Hollywood Reporter that she’ll be a bit relieved once the cat’s out of the bag. “I’m really excited, because people keep asking me about it and I can’t talk about it and it drives me crazy,” she says.
Last Season, Tara found herself in a deep depression over the death of her lover, Eggs (Mehcad Brooks), and then trapped in a violent affair with vampire Franklin Mott (James Frain). After discovering that pretty much everyone around her was connected somehow to the supernatural freakiness that is Bon Temps, she left town. It was that breaking point that informed the production team that it was time for a change.

“We felt like it was time for Tara to stop being the victim,” Creator Alan Ball tells us. “It was time for Tara to really take charge of her life in a way that would be surprising and would give us some fun places to go story wise. We thought, ‘If somebody has been through something like that, maybe they would be prompted to create a whole new life and identity.’ And why not?”
Wesley says she was surprised at first by her character’s storyline this season, but it began making sense to her. “After I thought about it, I was like I can see that,” she tells us.
“She’s got some new skin so to speak and she’s living life to its fullest and I think that’s a beautiful thing honestly to see a person go through that sort of change,” she adds. “Without putting any labels to it, she sort of fallen in love and that’s OK, you know. I just think that’s amazing.”
Tara’s storyline does open a can of worms when it comes to gay portrayals on television. After all, the series has gone a long way in training its viewers to see vampire sexuality as fluid and still some viewers have found issue with the show’s “barrage of sexuality” as Philadelphia Eagles player, Todd Herremans, tweeted last August. And that was definitely discussed by True Blood’s producers and writers.
“Yes, we did talk about what that meant,” executive producer Alexander Woo says. “Was she always curious? Did she always have sexual interest in men and women? I think we figured that we certainly were careful not to suggest that her life and the course of her life drew her into a relationship with another woman. But I think what Tara does at the beginning of this year is that she sees an opportunity to start completely fresh, start completely new and not being tied down with all these patterns that created her so much suffering.”

Wesley tells us that she also worries about the message her character’s lesbian relationship sends to viewers. “My main thing is I don’t think it’s because my character has such bad luck with men,” she says.
“I hope that people can understand that,” she continues. “Because I know people, of course, are just going to go to the ‘Oh, they’re just doing that, because she had that relationship and all of a sudden she’s gay.’ No, no, no, it’s not that. It’s just something that happened and she ended up being open to it, which I think is really cool. It’s nice to see Tara a little more Zen and open to things. And she just seems more carefree about life. It feels good to see her smile for a change.”
So, that of course brings us to the question of is "gay" even the right word to call Tara at this point? “I’m not entirely sure that Tara is gay,” Woo says. “In the case of Tara, she has decided to take on an entirely new identity which also includes sexual identity. We’ll see how well that works.”
And Wesley’s personal distaste for placing labels on anyone extends to her character, as well. “I think people are who they are,” she says. “You love who you love and it doesn’t matter.”
Sookie’s fairy godmother: In the first seconds of the clip, Sookie learns that she has a fairy godmother — and proceeds to take her to task for doing a terrible job as a protector. But the fairy godmother’s visible discomfort during their introduction seems to signal that’s she’s hiding something. Is she more than just a “godmother” to Sookie? How much does she realize about and how complicit is she in the fairy realm’s dark side?
Grandaddy: The fact that, when Sookie first lays eyes on him, he looks just like he did in her memory suggests that he may not be who she thinks he is at all. Also suspicious is the fact that he jumps through the portal with Sookie, despite the fact that he’s just been told he can’t travel between worlds (although it’s certainly possible that this is simply a selfless act of love). If he is who he says he is, will the journey kill him?
Queen Mab: The clip does a good job of characterizing Queen Mab — the fairy queen who first appeared in Mercutio’s crazy speech in Romeo and Juliet and soon popped up everywhere from Shelley’s poetry to Sense and Sensibility – as we know her from literature. A mischievous and theatrical “midwife” of dreams, she’s also know for wreaking havoc on entire populations. So, it should be pretty entertaining to watch her prepare for this human “harvest” she’s so fixated on.
Fairies and witches: It seems likely, based on this preview, that this season will feature a fairly elaborate fairy subplot. And in the Season 4 trailers we’ve already seen, a coven of witches will also be taking up residence in Bon Temps. What do fairies and witches have in common? Magic and an enemy — vampires. So, will they be friends or rivals?
Sookie: At the end of last season, it seemed like Sookie was pretty much finished with vampires. But, besides the obvious reality that ending things with both Bill and Eric forever would be terrible for the show, it looks like the witch-and-fairy business will have her thrust back into bloodsucker drama before long. Still, it seems possible that she’ll spend much of the season under neither vampire’s power.

True Blood Net reports:
True Blood has cast Ulfrick Northman has been cast for the flashback occurring in episode 305, “Trouble“. Actor Hans Tester, most recently seen opposite Matt Damon in The Informant!, has been cast as the senior Northman. I can see the resemblance to Alexander Skarsgard’s Eric, can’t you?
We’ll meet Eric’s father in a flashback to approximately 900 AD, before Eric is turned. The casting call describes him as Ulfrick is described as in his 40s to 50s, warm but battle scarred. He’s a Swedish Viking king who wants Eric to learn responsibility and to behave as a prince should, causing some tension in their otherwise solid father-son relationship.
Also guest starring in this episode are Melissa Rauch as Summer, a young woman who is attracted to Hoyt, and Grainger Hines as Colonel John Flood, a packmaster who Sookie & Alcide encounter.

True Blood Net reports:
Model-actress Natasha Alam has been cast as Yvetta, Eric’s new dancer at Fangtasia. Except she’s more than just a dancer, she’s also Eric’s lover. Alan Ball did promise that Eric would be naked this season; careful what you wish for, Truebies!

Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson still rules the vampire world, topping True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgård and “New Moon’s Taylor Lautner by a wide margin in an Improper poll.
Skarsgård has been developing a dedicated following just like Rob ever since being cast in 2008 as the sexy vampire Eric Northman in the hit HBO series “True Blood.” But TheImproper wanted to know: Who’s hotter?
The poll also included “New Moon’s” Taylor because of the outstanding job he did in the “Twilight” sequel and the rise of “Team Jacob,” the legion of fans who support the hot young actor.
But when it comes to fans, Rob’s are still the most dedicated and most active. According to preliminary poll results Rob received 72 percent of the votes cast. Alexander received 26 percent of the vote and Taylor came in a distant third with only 2 percent of the vote.
The online poll asked: Which star of a Vampire Show or Movie Star is Hotter?
While the “Twilight” series is probably better known, Skarsgård has been building a growing following on the hit HBO series, and in many ways his career trajectory and popularity is the same as Rob’s.
For one, they both play vampires! But there is no question at the moment that Alexander has not reached Rob’s level of hotness, or at least his fans are not as well organized. Rob is besieged everywhere he goes, and Alexander is seeing some of the same fan enthusiasm.
At 33, however, Alexander is a decade older the Rob and is better prepared mentally to deal with the overwhelming attention of his fans. So far, he says he’s been able to grounded by ignoring the media hype.
“I never read fan sites or blogs,” he says. “I don’t think it’s good for me. If it’s negative I know it will get to me. Or you just read positive things, your ego sort of explodes.”
Like Rob, he also vows not to change: “Nothing would hurt me more than if [my friends] said that I have changed,” he says. “After all, I was over 30 when things started to happen in the States.”
The gorgeous 6′4″ Swede will show off his superfit physique this season as his bad-boy character has more provocative sex scenes with both male and female characters. Rob also has a bad-boy aura that makes him irresistible as Edward Cullen.
Fans are rooting for him to hook up with Sokie in the upcoming season, which Alexander promises will be racier than ever, including ramped up nude scenes. Look out!
“There’s a lot of nudity [in Season 3],” Skarsgård promises. “There’s going to be a lot violence and a lot of sex [for Eric] — with women and men! So it should be interesting.”
Season Three of “True Blood” begins filming later this month and airs on HBO in June 2010. “Twilight” sequel is in theaters now and the next installments “Eclipse,” and “Breaking Dawn” will appear in the summer and fall of 2010.

Then I popped online and say TwiFans had a post about my vampire families....
As if it wasn't already impossible to avoid the living dead in pop culture these days, along comes The CW's new "The Vampire Diaries" to -- ahem -- drain more blood from the genre. And although the young-adult novels that inspired the seres were published way back in 1991 -- years before Sookie Stackhouse or Bella and Edward were created -- we can't help but compare the show to the popular "True Blood" and "Twilight." Here's how all three stack up against each other.
The Ingénue
"True Blood": Sookie's a waitress with psychic abilities and an open mind.
"Twilight": Bella's a moody high school student who wants to stay young forever.
"Vampire Diaries": Elena's a gorgeous teen with a tough past.
WINNER: Sookie. While she can make moronic life choices, she's strong-minded, can defend herself in perilous situations and is generally pretty darn adorable.
Vampire Boyfriend
"True Blood": Bill is a Civil War vet and Sookie's neighbor.
"Twilight": Edward is a dreamy high school student with a big family.
"Vampire Diaries": Stefan is a renaissance man from classic Italy.
WINNER: Edward. He's more appealing than Stefan and carries less baggage than Bill.
Shape Shifter Guys
"True Blood": Sam's a sweet bar owner who can turn into any animal.
"Twilight": Jacob's a werewolf who is totally in love with Bella.
"Vampire Diaries": Stefan's brother Damon is not only a vamp, but can also turn himself into a scary crow.
WINNER: Jacob. This good-hearted Native American boy only turns himself into a vicious killer to protect his loved ones.
The Romance
"True Blood": Sookie loves Bill, but it's slightly a strange love given that his blood saved her life and may have put her under his thrall somehow.
"Twilight": Bella and Edward are complete and utter soul mates, determined to be together for all eternity.
"Vampire Diaries": Elena is torn between two brothers that she's attracted to.
WINNER: "Vampire Diaries." Elena's is the classic love story, and what girl wouldn't want two hot siblings vying for her love?
The Vampire Rules
"True Blood": The bloodsuckers on this show abide by most of the common vampire rules: They can't go out in the sun without turning into a fritter, can be killed by stakes or by being beheaded, need to drink blood (though synthetic is acceptable), have super speed and can fly (at least some can).
"Twilight": While you could kill one of these vamps with a stake, the sun is not their enemy in the traditional sense of the word. They don't get burnt to a crisp; instead, they get all sparkly in the sunlight.
"Vampire Diaries": These vamps can go out in the sun, but only when wearing a special piece of jewelry that keeps them safe. They like to drink blood and try to keep their identities a secret.
WINNER: "True Blood." We prefer our undead to be creatures of the night. Call us old fashioned.
By the Book?
"True Blood": It hits some of the major plot points and character traits, but has gone its own way and invented new characters, kept some alive and embellished a lot of details.
"Twilight": It's extremely loyal to the books -- painstakingly so, as the fans quibble over any slight alteration or omission.
"Vampire Diaries": Based on the first episode, it's very loyal to the book, but the producers are going to have to do a lot to stretch this into a weekly series.
WINNER: "True Blood." We like the fact that the show is willing to take chances with the source material that usually pay off.
I saw this over at TwiFans where they said:
Tell me what you think? Im not really a bug fan of "True Blood"...... seems a little trashy to me. I saw the first episode of "Vampire Diaries" and I actually liked it..... What is your opinion?
My Opinion (as if you had to ask!)
True Blood is AWESOME - I love it.... Twilight I will always love, but I am thankful True Blood has the smut Twilight lacks.... Vampire Diaraies I watched and I felt like i was watching a copy-cat of Edward and Bella from his look to her stuttering.... still, it intrigued me enough to set a series record on my PVR ;)
