Water for Elephants

Hollywood prop shop helps re-create the past...

At Jim and Pam Elyea's company History for Hire, rentals are backed up with research. The North Hollywood firm has survived by avoiding debt and specializing in hard-to-find historical props.

The movie: an adaptation of Sara Gruen's 2006 bestselling novel "Water for Elephants," about a veterinary student who quits his studies to join a traveling circus.

The scene: a group of students, circa 1931, on the campus of Cornell University.

Jim Elyea's task: to make sure the briefcases the students are carrying look authentic when the film begins shooting this May in Santa Paula, Calif.

Mandy's Mind - Hope this means we'll get more information about Robert Pattinson and this movie soon - no rest for Rob... Bel Ami to (presumably) Breaking Dawn, to this... it helps us narrow down timelines... though if BD is 2 movies they will need more than the typical 3 months they used for NM and E... so this May start seems to fit in nicely with a Fall start for BD non?

**Edit - I was thinking May 2012 for some reason... it should be Bel Amit, to Water, to Breaking Dawn...

Actually, filming for WFE starts in May in L.A. So he will go from filming BA to WFE then to BD in the fall...

I find it strange that he has such a full filming schedule this year while Kristen's has nothing until BD.
