Getting to Know Mags - Lynn Cohen

Lynn Cohen was cast as Mags in the upcoming Hunger Games: Catching Fire but who is she? Here is a great video with her:

Sam Claflin as Finnick in Catching Fire?

According to Deadling:

Sam Claflin has been the favorite, but he had a problem with an option owed to another studio that presented date problems. Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter stars Ben Walker, Boyd Holbrook and Tyler Hoechlin were the other competitors for that role, but it looks now like things have cleared for Claflin and that he’ll play the role. You’ve seen him in Snow White And The Huntsman and Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Thoughts? Not who I had in mind, but pretty just the same... ;)

Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee in Catching Fire

Philip Seymour Hoffman, who will play Plutarch Heavensbee in Catching Fire, spoke to Entertainment Weekly about his role in the upcoming movie:

“It’s a great group of actors. It’s a great environment. And the character was something I was attracted to. It was just an interesting role. [SPOILER ALERT] He’s somebody who’s part of the revolution, but you don’t know it. The idea that somebody would be risking themselves in such an extreme way to join something that’s that dangerous because he thinks it’s the future…that’s interesting stuff, you know?”

Hoffman hadn’t read Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novels when he found out he might be up for a role, so he watched the first movie and is currently halfway through the second book. “It’s good,” he says. “I’ve read the script, which is true to the book — I kinda ruined it for myself. [Laughs] But I’m reading it anyway, because I really want to find out everything I need to know about this guy.”

Rob talking to Kristen again?

It iswn't my life, I shouldn't care... I don't really care (I am focused on Olympics, my Vegas trip, summer, real life) but... come November, I will care if these two are talking.

I wouldn't forgive a cheater. That's just me. Young Hollywood has different rules, but I hope he doesn't forgive her.

I do hope it is true they are talking, or will soon.... not to reconnect, but to be professional.

Radar Online reports:

Pattinson has been hiding out at his friend Reese Witherspoon’s $7 million Ojai ranch, staying out of the public eye, and that’s where he started speaking to Kristen again but it doesn’t seem like he is going to forgive her any time soon.

What do you think? Do you even care anymore?

I just hope they both find peace and heal from this ordeal - it is hard when it is so public.... (though can be funny too... did you see Will Ferrell on Conan? LOL)

The Idiom Casting code for Hunger Games Catching Fire?

Thanks to some internet sleuthing by The Hob and Russ Bowen, it appears that the working title for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ may be ‘The Idiom’, which is actually quite an amusing mask title for the movie. A casting notice on the website for Catrett Locke Casting in Georgia for a new feature film titled ‘The Idiom’ was posted last week and bears some startling resemblances to extras needed for Catching Fire.

Known to New York theater audiences for decades of memorable roles, Cohen has also appeared in critically acclaimed films such as Steven Spielberg’s Munich and Charlie Kaufman’s Synecdoche, NY, as well as commercial fare such as Sex and The City and its sequel. She can next be seen in They Came Together, with Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE will be directed by Francis Lawrence, and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the second in a trilogy that has sold more than 50 million books in print and digital in the U.S. alone.

Lionsgate will release THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE on November 22, 2013.
