paperto

June 6 we get to see TFIOS hit the big screen and now, we hae learned that another amazing novel by John Green will also be made into a movie...

Deadline announced:
EXCLUSIVE: After completing its adaptation of the John Green novelThe Fault In Our Stars, Fox 2000has made a deal for the 2008 Green novel Paper Towns, and it is working on bringing bring back together not only the producers and the screenwriters for another go but also one of the stars. Paper Towns will be built around actor-singerNat Wolff, who co-stars in The Fault In Our Starsand stars in the upcoming Palo Alto. Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber are going to adapt, and Temple Hill’s Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen are producing. The scribes will be exec producers along with Green.

Paper Towns takes place in Orlando, but this is far from a Disney World ride. The protagonist is Quentin, a young man who shared a jarring experience with his neighbor Margo: They found a man who committed suicide. They grew apart, but one night he finds her at his bedroom window, dressed like a ninja. She enlists him in a campaign to get revenge on people who’ve hurt her. Next day, she vanishes as he is left to ponder the ramifications of the evening. Then he begins getting clues from her and has to follow them.  The project originally was set with Mandate and Mr. Mudd, but they parted ways over creative differences. Obviously Green had a good experience at Fox 2000, where Gabler has always been author-friendly.
