'Perks of Being a Wallflower' casting and interview with Nina Dobrev

Here Nina talks about upcoming 'Perks of Being a Wallflower' script and cast. Love the Vancouver mention. It is true they shot Vampire Diaries pilot in Vancouver while Percy Jackson and New Moon were shooting. In fact, at the first 100 Monkey's show Ashley Greene's date was an Somerhalder... #truestory.

I wish TVD stayed in Vancouver!!! Ah Well... onto 'Perks of Being a Wallflower' which is written and directed by the author of the book Stephen Chbosky.

The casting is absolutely amazing. Nina Dobrev, Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, Paul Rudd, and more - - - Exciting!

“The script is really, really, really amazing and the cast,” she enthused. “The fact that Stephen wrote the book, and he wrote the screenplay and he’s now directing, it’s going to be really good to see that because a lot of the time when a book is made into a film, a lot of the original fans are scared it’s going to be ruined. But when the visionary is the one who is going to see it is made the way he saw it and wants it to be seen, he’s going to play it true to the original.”

The path that got Miller to this point, in this universe, began in New Jersey, where he caught the performance bug early. He suffered with a severe stutter and finally found his voice when a teacher introduced him to opera. He fell in love with storytelling and went on to perform with the Metropolitan Opera Children’s Chorus, where he starred in Philip Glass’ White Rabbit. “Through doing that I realized that humans, with our voices and our songs are the species—the only one we know of—that tells the story of the universe. It’s sort of our responsibility.” By eight years old, Ezra Miller’s path was set. “There is no choice for me. This is my divergent reality.”

Have you read the book? Excited for the movie?
