Brittany Murphy dies at age 32

Baltimore Sun reports:

LOS ANGELES - Actress Brittany Murphy died Sunday morning in Los Angeles, reports TMZ. She was 32.

The actress known for her roles in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile" and "Girl Interrupted" suffered full cardiac arrest and could not be revived.

She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after her husband, Simon Monjack, called emergency services. It was there she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Brittany Murphy was also the voice of Luanne on King of the Hill and Gloria in Happy Feet. She was in Uptown Girls, Just Married, Sin City, Little Black Book and one of my favourite roles she played was in Don't Say a Word. She had a number of roles in various shows and movies and had quite a few upcoming projects including The Expendables, co-written by Sylvester Stallone.

Uptown Girls, of course, also starred Twilight Saga New Moon's "Jane" aka Dakota Fanning....

I am so sad to hear this news, not that I kept up with her career regularily but often enjoyed her performances and feel she had so much more to offer this world. 32 is so young.

Ashton Kutcher, who dated Brittany in 2002, tweeted:

2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon. see you on the other side kid.

TMZ lists this story as developing.... time will tell what autopsy and "death investigation" reveals.
