More Breaking Dawn Vancouver Hope

As if the auction giving away a trip to a Breaking Dawn set while staying at a Vancouver Hotel wasn't enough.

Or Wyck Godfrey himself saying they plan to return to Vancouver in the Fall.

Or the cast hinting and commenting on coming back to Vancouver to wrap up the saga.

No, people still need more.... hard proof....

The #1 concern with the "powers that be" is still one movie or two but I think Vancouver is pretty much a done deal behind the doors of the powers that be...

They need to cross their t's and dot their i's before announcing to the world at large, because as we know, Twilight Fans are passionate and you do not want to announce something then have to take it back.

Riots would start - we'd have World War 3 on our hands should a major change happen after a major announcement is made about Twilight.... Summit wants.... no NEEDS to be sure....

Leave it Lainey to get the goods.... she's good....

You’ll recall I was the first to report that due to provincial tax credit drama and competing incentives, Portland became a more viable location. Despite reports elsewhere, as of this weekend, no final decision has been made. Having said that, Vancouver remains Summit’s first choice even though the tax credit situation has yet to be sorted.

My sources tell me exclusively Summit representatives met with the BC government just before Christmas to see if a favourable arrangement could be worked out. That meeting concluded with NO commitments from government officials who explained that they were not prepared to look at any new tax structure until after the Olympics. Summit was hoping to make a decision sooner.

There’s been some buzz among certain local special effects firms that a contract is coming, anticipating a June start date. The timing is encouraging for those lobbying for a Twilight return. This would allow for 3 months of prep before principle photography in September. So it looks promising... but there are still many variables at play. Will keep you posted.

Mandy's Mind - I definately learned that when Lainey gets a scoop or exclusive information, it is almost always entirely correct. I compared Portland vs Vancouver back in October as a possible location for filming. I also have heard similar news from someone inside the BC Film Commission about what 2010 will look like and it seems to include the return of the Twilight Saga. I just can't help but look at all these clues and wonder how anyone can still doubt #BreakingDawnVancouver ?

Of course, it ain't over til the fat lady sings Summit says so.... till then, we can all just sit, wait, and smile knowing what we all know ;)

Please remember also that Breaking Dawn Auditions are scams, nothing has started yet.

More blogs coming throughout the day, mostly tonight.... when I hope to finally wrap up my weekend posts about #SeattleTwiCon and @100monkeysmusic.

Cheers
